Chapter 606: Tricycle

"Mumu, about the training, I’ll have to trouble you to come." Du Yu handed Xu Mumu a glass of warm water.

"No problem." Xu Mumu nodded with a smile.

In the following days, Xu Mumu came every day, training a batch of people and then having them guide the rest.

Watching the factory gradually get on the right track, Xu Mumu finally breathed a sigh of relief. It had been exhausting during this period.

"Wife, does this feel good?" Yin Yang massaged Xu Mumu’s shoulders, asking softly.

"Feels good, feels good, and my waist too," Xu Mumu said lazily, feeling very comfortable at home.

One cannot deny that her husband served her too well; she never expected he had this skill.

Yin Yang chuckled as he watched his little wife. If it weren’t daytime, he’d want to do this and that with her right then.

With sufficient funds from Xu Mumu, the production of electric bicycles quickly manufactured the products she needed. Xu Mumu then had Du Yu and others go out to advertise and distribute to major malls.

The rise of electric bicycles here was incredibly fast, and when Xu Mumu took Doudou out for a walk, the appearance of these bicycles attracted countless attention.

Walking with her son outside, Xu Mumu noticed the road here had been refurbished. Many people were riding bikes, and although the electric bicycles had just launched, there were already quite a few people riding them.

Those riding the bikes were holding their heads high, basking in the admiration of others, filled with pride.

Xu Mumu smiled lightly at the sight, thinking it was just an electric bicycle, was it really worth the fuss?

However, the bicycles were not expensive, just slightly pricier than regular bikes, so many could afford them. Over the years, development had been rapid, and many people made decent money riding this wave.

When Xu Mumu brought her son to the small shop, she saw her mother sitting on an electric bicycle, with Xu Hai supporting her as they practiced.

As she walked over, neither of them noticed her arrival, the lure of the bicycle surpassed her presence.

"Ah ah ah," the little boy excitedly waved at his grandmother upon seeing her.

Although the boy’s voice wasn’t loud, the two still heard him.

"Mumu, come quickly. Do you want to learn? I can have your dad teach you." Li Caixia excitedly said as she set the bicycle aside. Although she hadn’t learned how to ride yet, she looked forward to driving around and having some fun once she did.

"No need, I can ride. Mom, are you still learning?" Xu Mumu replied with a smile.

"Yes, yes, daughter, come and tell me how to do it. Your dad is too clumsy; he’s been trying to teach me for a long time and I still can’t get it." Li Caixia immediately expressed disdain for her husband.

"Hmph, I didn’t want to teach anyway. Obviously, you’re just being dull. Mumu, you teach your mom, and I’ll take Doudou to play." Xu Hai rolled his eyes, feeling aggrieved after trying all morning without success.

"Alright." Xu Mumu nodded with a smile, hoping to prevent the two from starting a quarrel.

Xu Mumu taught rather carefully, though it wasn’t too hard to learn. However, Li Caixia was somewhat timid, afraid of letting go to practice.

While Xu Mumu was teaching, Li Caixia was very satisfied with her daughter’s instructions. After more than an hour, she could happily ride the electric bicycle around, extremely excited.

"Mumu, do you think I should also learn to ride this bike?" Old Xu asked, smoking and longingly watching the bicycle that had been running around in front of him all day.

"Grandpa wants to learn to ride, huh? This bike can be a bit dangerous, and you all are getting older. I’ll think about how to convert it into a tricycle and create a special batch for older folks." Xu Mumu said, rubbing her chin in thought.

"Does it have to be customized? Wouldn’t that be too much trouble?" Old Xu’s eyes lit up, somewhat absent-mindedly wondering if a tricycle setup meant less chance of falling.

"It’s not that much trouble, just need to add a few more wheels," Xu Mumu replied with a smile.

"Not too much trouble, that’s great. I knew our Mumu is the most capable," Old Xu said, immediately satisfied.

Xu Mumu nearly burst into laughter, not expecting her grandpa to be this amusing.

The next day, holding her son, Xu Mumu went to Du Yu and shared her ideas.

"Mumu, would there really be buyers if you make this?" Du Yu asked skeptically, wondering how many wealthy old folks were in town?

"Of course there will be buyers. It’s not only for the elderly to ride, people without good balance can use it too. You could also add a cargo space at the back; the bike doesn’t have to be that large, there’s still plenty of use for it." Xu Mumu explained, showing Du Yu the blueprint she’d drawn.

"As you say, but it doesn’t hold much stuff, does it?" Du Yu said, looking at the compartment area.

"It doesn’t need to hold much. Or you could turn the back into seats for people. You can just ride people around directly," Xu Mumu said with a smile.

After explaining everything to Du Yu, Xu Mumu left feeling reassured.

Once she left, Du Yu didn’t idle around; the ideas Xu Mumu mentioned were quite good, so the factory quickly started production.

It wasn’t long before the bicycles were produced, and the first batch even included one sent specifically to Xu Mumu, as Du Yu already knew her grandfather wanted one.

"Dad, this bike can carry three or four people, no problem," Xu Hai said in surprise, looking at the two rows of seats on the back. "This bike can really be turned like this. It’s almost like a small car."

"Exactly, Mumu personally set this up for me. You hurry up and teach me. Once I learn it, I’ll use it to take your mom shopping and drive back to the countryside for fun whenever we’re free." Old Xu proudly declared, urging his son to start teaching.

Starting the tricycle is the same as the electric bicycle. After Xu Hai tried it twice, he grasped it with no issues.

The enthusiasm for learning to ride was fervent, and Old Xu’s bike captured the attention of the community here. Old Xu boasted proudly, driving around and chatting with people, enjoying their envious glances.

"Old Xu, when will these bikes be for sale? I’ve saved up the money," said someone who had a good relationship with Old Xu, enviously.

"My granddaughter said it’ll be another half a month. This bike is a bit large, so they need to find a bigger storefront," Old Xu said, beaming.

With the emergence of electric bicycles that don’t require fuel, running solely on electricity, they rapidly dominated the market. The factory now began expanding to other places for distribution.

Electricity costs were low at the time, and those who could afford the bike didn’t mind the cost of electricity.

When the tricycles launched, business boomed, and Xu Mumu even brought Doudou to watch.

Seeing more and more vehicles on the road, a smile appeared on Xu Mumu’s face. It was clear that everyone’s lives were quite good.
