Chapter 550: Yu Xinyao Visits
"Sis, should we go to the hospital? Those bugs are really dirty." Xu Wan didn’t doubt her sister’s words at all and was quite worried about her.
"It’s fine, no need to go to the hospital. I’ve already dealt with it, and it’s much better now." Xu Xue shook her head.
"Wanwan, are you getting used to living here? Is there anything you need? I can go buy it." Xu Xue looked at her sister and asked.
"I don’t need anything. It’s quite nice here." Xu Wan shook her head. With her sister around, even though it’s not as lively as where the eldest sister is, she still prefers living with her own sister.
"You know, this is our home from now on. I’ve already bought this place. No need to be so formal. If you need anything, just go buy it. If you don’t have enough money, just let me know." Xu Xue seriously looked at her sister.
"Sis, I have money. I don’t lack anything." Xu Wan shook her head. Living in the provincial capital, there are more places to spend money, even though her sister has opened a restaurant and the business is quite good.
Over the years, she participated in quite a few competitions and did quite well. She saved quite a bit of prize money, and being thrifty herself, she’s saved all that money.
Xu Mumu was unaware of the matters on this side of the family. The next day, Yu Xinyao unexpectedly came to visit her, bringing along a lot of stuff, mainly nutritional products.

"Yaoyao, why are you here?" Xu Mumu looked at Yu Xinyao excitedly.
"Just came to see you. It’s not fun at home." Yu Xinyao said with a smile, then greeted the other members of the Xu family. Right now, only Madam Chen, Xu Minglei, and the little ones were at home, as well as Jiang Yuxiu.
Xu Mumu introduced her to everyone, and Madam Chun brought out some snacks and tea.
"Mumu, your family’s snacks are so delicious." Yu Xinyao exclaimed pleasantly, after tasting a bit of the Osmanthus Cake.
"Of course, everything Madam Chun makes is the best. If you like it so much, take some home with you." Xu Mumu said with a smile.
"Then I won’t hold back. But if I go home after eating and taking stuff from you, my mom will probably scold me again." Yu Xinyao said with a laugh.
"You’ve already brought so many things with you. It’s no big deal." Xu Mumu said nonchalantly.
"Why didn’t you go hang out with Huo Qingze? Why did you come to my house today?" Xu Mumu asked curiously.
"He’s busy. Where does he have time to hang out?" Yu Xinyao said with frustration. Even though she only had Sundays off, often on weekdays, she didn’t have much work. But Huo Qingze, regardless of the time, always seemed to have endless work.
"That’s true. He’s really busy, and Yin Yang also has a lot of work every day." Xu Mumu said with a smile. With such a big operation, naturally, there’s a lot of work. Huo Qingze’s business empire in the provincial capital is quite large, almost covering half of it.
"I wanted to ask him to go see a movie, but he was so busy that his assistant brought me a movie ticket and told me to go by myself." Jiang Yuxiu said disdainfully.
"Things will definitely get better. They’ve got some big business they’re busy with these days. I can’t even reach Yin Yang." Xu Mumu comforted Yu Xinyao.
"I know, Brother Qingze told me. I just wanted to complain a bit, and saying it out loud made me feel much better." Yu Xinyao said with a smile. She had found out from Huo Qingze that Yin Yang was also busy, so she thought of visiting Xu Mumu instead. Otherwise, what would it look like if she interrupted the rare time the couple had together?
"Alright then, whenever you’re feeling down, just come talk to me. I’m definitely the best listener." Xu Mumu smiled as well.
"That’s definitely no problem. I thought you’d be alone at home, but didn’t expect so many people. It’s so lively!" Yu Xinyao said with a hint of envy. She’s an only child, though she has two cousins, they lived far away, and she often felt lonely growing up.
Xu Mumu’s family had so many siblings; it must be so lively. She had always wanted a younger brother or sister, but her mother wasn’t able to have another child after having her.
"It is lively, though sometimes a bit too noisy." Xu Mumu nodded.
As Xu Mumu and the others chatted, Jiang Yuxiu would occasionally chime in, learning about Yu Xinyao’s background through their conversation.
She didn’t expect Yu Xinyao’s father to be from the province’s department, much higher in position than her own father.
Time flew by quickly while they were chatting at home. When Yu Xinyao finally decided to leave, Xu Mumu was still a bit reluctant. It was almost five o’clock, and Yu Xinyao did need to head back.
"Mumu, I’ll come again to hang out sometime." Yu Xinyao said, quite unwilling to leave. It was so much more interesting than being at home, bored reading books.
"Sure, you’re always welcome." Xu Mumu nodded with a smile.
"Big Sis, is she Brother Huo’s girlfriend? She’s so pretty." Xu Jiaojiao asked curiously once Yu Xinyao had walked some distance away. Xu Mumu and the others were chatting while the younger ones were busy studying in the room. They were in their final year of high school, and the physics competition hadn’t ended yet.
"Yes, she is really beautiful. Our Jiaojiao is also very pretty." Xu Mumu said with a smile. The young girl already knew what being pretty meant. The Xu family had been doing well these years, and Xu Jiaojiao had grown well, not pale but fairer than most, and had grown taller too.
"Big Sis, you’re teasing me. I’m not pretty at all, obviously, you’re the prettiest." Xu Jiaojiao said, pouting and blushing a little with embarrassment.
"Oh, what’s the use of being pretty? I’m telling all of you, when you’re at school, focus on your studies. No fooling around with relationships, okay?" Madam Chen glanced at the children. After experiencing so much here, she knew that even middle and high school students might be dating.
She believed her grandchildren were all excellent and didn’t want them to let dating affect their studies. Dating should at least wait until university, where there are many outstanding people, far better than those in middle and high school.
"Grandma, I won’t. They’re all ugly, not attractive." Xu Jiaojiao replied, feeling exasperated, as she didn’t find anyone in her class appealing.
"Jiaojiao, you shouldn’t talk like that. Some people might look good on the outside but are rotten inside." Xu Mumu said, a bit amused at how looks-oriented the girl was.
