"What happened? Auntie said you were putting Meimei to sleep, why are you crying?" Jin Chenye walked over to her, looking down at Ye Mingmei, whose expression was unusually grim.

"I never showed Meimei any photos of Yu Xiuzhun. I don’t know how she got these, or how she even secretly hid in the wardrobe to draw these sketches of Yu Xiuzhun."
She always thought Meimei had never seen her father and felt no attachment to him. The word "father" to her was just a title.
If she truly reached an agreement with Jin Chenye, given Meimei’s fondness for him, she probably wouldn’t mind having Jin Chenye as her father.
But until this moment, Ye Mingmei realized she didn’t understand Meimei at all.
Meimei knew what her father looked like and even secretly drew these sketches of Yu Xiuzhun behind her back, which means, in Meimei’s heart, she already has a father... a father she recognizes!
"Just because you didn’t give Meimei a photo doesn’t mean others won’t. Yu Xiuzhun is her father, and she’ll find out sooner or later." Unlike Ye Mingmei’s shock, Jin Chenye appeared much more composed.
