236 Night Talk <3>

“Idiot,” Dylan spat out when he saw Jake’s expression. He only felt that Jake was being so stupid to be asking for trouble by following Kyle. Doesn’t he know how much Kyle hated being followed by others.

“I’m curious!” Jake complained again.

Dylan snorted and stopped saying anything else. He simply turned around to enter his room and take some rest for the day.

As for Kyle?

Dylan only hoped that Kyle would be able to have a nice date with his little girl. After all, Dylan could guess how much Kyle actually cared for the little cat, who’s also his student and now his little girl.

However, he would not go and personally watched it.

He didn’t’ want to be fed with dog food.

He already ate enough when Jake and Lotte were together and there was truly no need for him to add more torture for himself. He was not like those gossipy girls who would instead clamor for more dog food.

“Why don’t you try to coax your girlfriend instead?” Marc shook his head. “Am I right, Robby?”

.....

“Wang! Wang! Wang!” <Or course, you’re always right, Master! In that case, can I have more food?>

Robby wagged his tail excitedly as he looked at his master, hoping that he would be able to get more food by agreeing with his Master.

Marc’s lips twitched. Who taught his dog to bargain for more food?

Thinking about Lucy who was playing with Robby not long ago, he felt like going to Lucy and complained. But then again, who could actually stand that strong woman? He would be killed within seconds just with Lucy’s raw strength.

“No, you already eat too much.”

“Wang! Wang! Wang!” <bad Master! In that case, you’re wrong! I’m hungry!>

“You’ve just eaten!”

“Wang!” <not enough!>

Jake glanced at Marc speechlessly and watched as Marc dragged Robby into his room. He felt that he could never understand why there would be anyone who wanted to argue with a dog.

There was truly no point in arguing with animals like that.

“Jake, do you want to sleep or not?” Lotte opened the door and looked at her boyfriend suspiciously. This annoying boyfriend of hers has been like this ever since he knew that Little Kitty was actually Kate.

Lotte was even more suspicious that this boyfriend of hers was actually a very gossipy person too.

“I’m thinking of following Kyle.” Jake pointed at Kyle and Kate who were already a distance away from them. He didn’t dare to get too close, though. After all, Kyle’s senses as part of military back then was really good.

“…If you don’t want to sleep, you should just say it.” Lotte smiled and slammed the door.

Bam!

Then, Jake heard the door was locked.

Jake: “…” what did I do wrong?

He looked at the disappearing Kyle in the distance and then at the door. For the sake of his own survival, it would be best for him to stay here and coax his girlfriend.

Thus, Jake stood beside the door, trying his best to coax his girlfriend to allow him to sleep for the night.

While Jake was busy trying to coax his girlfriend to open the door and allow him to sleep for the night, Kyle and Kate were walking towards the wall. Because their temporary residences were still at the periphery, it was not that far.

“I make barrier,” Kate said in a low voice.

Since her space element was rank 6, it would be hard for other at lower rank to even notice when she was using her ability.

Kyle arched his eyebrows and nodded lightly. “Are there any differences in using your abilities when you become a cat and a human?”

“No, there’s none.” Kate chuckled. “It seems that the transformation ability perfectly retains my abilities and only change the outside form.”

“It’s a good ability.” Kyle nodded.

Kate smiled. If there was any difference, it would be that her childishness when she was being a cat was reduced greatly. She no longer feel so mischievous nor wanting to sleep so much.

It was as if the little cat from before had grown up.

Though, Kate knew that her cat’s form was actually still a little cat who was still a few months’ old and still very small. While her form didn’t have much effect towards her ability, it might affect her personality somewhat.

Hmm, does it meant she will have double personality?

Thinking about it made Kate’s head hurt. She chose not to think too much since it will just complicate matters.

“What do you think of City H?” Kate suddenly asked. She felt that the city was quite strange, but she couldn’t pinpoint what exactly. After all, there hasn’t been any ‘normal’ things after these mutations appeared and countless giant mutated animals roamed around.

“This city might be involved in some political games of the higher ups. I don’t know for sure the exact matter, but it might be quite annoying.” Kyle’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The military would not move without any reason. This was why Kyle felt that City H was really suspicious. But even if he didn’t like this city, it was not like he could avoid those political games forever.

After all, no one could say for sure where it would affect others.

“They shouldn’t affect us, right?” Kate asked in hesitation. She didn’t know much about this kind of matter. In the past, she only cared about her study and future work, so she didn’t really care about who the leader is.

Just be real, who would have the time to watch the TV all the time to watch a certain politician’s move?

Unless they were reporter or someone in related work, ordinary people would not care that much about those politicians except if there was something that would affect them directly in their lives.

“Perhaps.” Kyle shrugged. “Don’t think too much about them.”

“Ok.” Kate nodded.

Kyle smiled and the two of them continued walking towards the wall.
