“Okay.” Kate nodded.
Healing these people should be easy. She had also seen that these soldiers and people were resisting the three rank 7 giant mutated snakes at first and many were already in hospital. It should be fine for her to help healing them.
Anyway, it meant that she didn’t have to go to the frontline again.
“I’ll accompany you,” Lucy added from the side and looked at Mr. Yuri warily. Even though Mr. Yuri was still giving the same approachable image as he always be, she felt a strange sense of unease from him.
At the side, Kyle’s eyes narrowed as he looked at Mr. Yuri. For some reason, he felt that Mr. Yuri was purposely asking for Kate to stay behind in the city. But then again, they were not exactly allowed to actually enter the city and only at the periphery.
Are there so many injured people?
He scoffed slightly and try not to care. Soldiers always cared for ordinary people more than others.
“Any objection?”
“No.” Petra shook his head.

If he was still underground like before, it meant that he shouldn’t have much contact with Kate, right?
Thinking that way, Petra felt somewhat relieved. He didn’t want to accidentally die because a reverse healer was losing control of her ability. That would be very terrifying.
Lotus stayed at the side and listened to the arrangement. She heaved a sigh of relief.
At the same time, she was actually thinking about City H.
There was something strange in her memory about her past life. But since she herself never went to City H, she was not sure about what it was. She felt as if she had heard of something regarding City H, yet she couldn’t be sure about what she actually heard.
The so called memory of her past life was not complete and it was not like Lotus remembered everything. It was just that she had been relying on this memory of hers to live all these times.

And tried to stay away from those strong villains until she was strong enough to be able to defeat them.
As for City H…
She felt that this city’s name was strange. But again, there were so many cities destroyed in her past life that Lotus didn’t particularly remember everything anymore. There were also some other cities that were thriving but then destroyed by these two big devils just because of some matters.
It was some kind of strange reasons, but she kept on hearing many rumors about several strong people.
In this life, she hadn’t heard that much about Kate and Kyle. However, knowing that these two had already reached rank 6, she knew that it might not take long for her to start hearing about those matters.
And Lotus was afraid.
Afraid that these kind of matters would affect her and possibly cause great harm towards her.
But Lotus tried her best to calm down.
At the very least, nothing had happened yet. She just had to be careful and avoided them as much as possible to make sure that she would not be involved.
Thus, Lotus simply stayed quiet.
They all dispersed after Mr. Yuri was done giving a few more instruction.
Lucy looked at Kate. “Try to stay away from that military officer. I don’t have good feeling about him.”
Kate nodded.
She knew that Lucy sometimes would have keen senses or at other times, she was simply messing around. She herself didn’t really have good feelings towards Mr. Yuri, who has been promoted heavily in the radio countless times.
Even if she knew that it was nothing more than political moves in order to make sure that the people were still in peace and still have hope and trust in the military… she didn’t have good impression of Mr. Yuri.
The scene in which he ran away back then and also the fact that the people behind him only cared for themselves made her wonder why he was in the military in the first place.
Kyle’s father was a truly good military.
At the very least, he was truly someone who cared for the people and tried his best to make sure that these giant mutated animals would not hurt them. He would kill the giant mutated animals, arrange for places for them to stay and most importantly, he tried his best to sustain their well being.
While he was not perfect, he was still trying his best to save as much people as possible.
But when Kate saw Mr. Yuri, all she could see was his selfishness more than his care for others. Though, she couldn’t really judge him because she herself is selfish and would only care for her own life and those around her rather than the strangers whom she had never met in her entire life.
If not because of these giant mutated animals, she would never be here in the first place and lived an ordinary life.
A boring yet fulfilling live.
Still, comparison was really painful. Because Kate was using Kyle’s father as the standard for a good soldier, she just felt that Mr. Yuri was truly not a good person.
“Let’s have some rest for the day. It has been tiring.”
“Sure. Do you want to guard first or me first?” Lucy asked. She recalled that Kate had never actually participated in guarding before because there were always others. Considering that Kate had only turned back into human recently, they couldn’t really ask her to guard them before because she was just a cat.
“Night guard?” Kate frowned, finally realizing how inconvenient it was to do everything by herself. She knew very well that she was not a good guard. “How about if I just set a barrier for us?” she asked in a low voice.
Lucy: “…” can you sustain such barrier for the entire night?
