203 Returning to City E
She was already on the verge of collapsing, so all she could do was to make sure that the two of them would not regret it later on. Having their lives tied to each other would not be easy and Kate didn’t want Kyle to regret it either.
As for her?
She didn’t know.
She just had to live on with it.
Even though Lucy was reluctant to release Kate, but she sighed deeply when she saw the little girl return to Kyle’s side and returned to her cat’s form. After returning to her cat’s form, Kate jumped to Kyle and laid on his lap while Kyle caressed her fur softly.
His gaze when he looked at Kate was very gentle, so gentle that Lucy had a hard time believing.

The rest of the journey went on smoothly.
No one seemed to care about the blood contract anymore, which made Kate somewhat relieved. She was worried that Lucy wouldn’t be able to accept it and made trouble on the way, but it seemed that she was thinking too much.
And with the blood contract, her communication with Kyle was also very smooth.
They didn’t need a translator anymore.
This even made Jake worried that Kyle would kick his girlfriend out of the party because he no longer needed a translator.

Though, Lotte officially lost her job as translator. After all, Kate usually only talked with Kyle and Kyle had no interest to let the others knew what she was talking about. It was enough for him.
Most of her talk was either about eating, sleeping, and going to the toilet.

It was not important for others anyway.
They didn’t pay much attention to the people who followed them from City F, but they still used their abilities to ensure that no giant mutated animals managed to attack these refugees.
They had to be responsible for the safety at the very least.
As for food and the others? They were not so rich that they could feed hundreds of people with their limited food. Thus, these people had to search for their own food one way or another.
They were not so kind to share their food with others.
When City E was within the sight, they all heaved a sigh of relief.
The soldiers finally stepped forward to take care of the refugees. There were simply too many people who came to City E that it was impossible for them not to pay any attention. Not to mention, City E was still under reconstruction.
These peopled would have to work if they wanted to be able to stay and eat in City E.
No one complained.
They had seen the situation in City E and knew that being able to live was already a blessing. What everyone wanted was to be able to have the chance to live peacefully and avoided these giant mutated animals.
No one wanted to live in fear forever because of these giant mutated animals’ possible attacks.
At the very least, there will be soldiers in the city who were responsible to protect them.
“I’m going back to sleep.” Lotte stretched her hand when the car finally entered City E. She jumped down and looked at her boyfriend. “Are you going to follow the others to give report first or rest?”
“I’m part of the military.” Jake’s expression was bad. “You take rest first and I’ll follow suit, ok?”
“Ok. I’ll prepare your bath water.”
“Great!”
Dylan looked at the two of them and spat out, “Get married.”
Lotte pretended that she didn’t hear anything and fled away. On the other hand, Jake looked at Dylan helplessly. “She didn’t agree yet. Anyway, the civil bureau something hadn’t been rebuilt again.”
Dylan looked at Jake coldly.
“I’m still trying to coax her, ok?” Jake himself felt a bit miserable. He wanted to get married as fast as possible, but Lotte didn’t agree with him yet.
She told him that the situation was not peaceful enough.
This made Jake wanted to kill all of those giant mutated animals so that the world would return to the way it was before.
Though, he knew this was an unrealistic dream.
Those giant mutated animals would not just stay quiet and let him kill them all.
Lucy looked at them and jumped out of the car too. “I don’t really have anything to do with the military, so I’m going back first. Robby, are you going to come with me? I can give you delicious meal.”
Robby’s ear perked when he heard the word delicious meal. “Wang! Wang!” <Of course, I want!>
“Hey, hey, Robby, who’s your master?” Marc helplessly jumped out of the car too. He could only follow his naughty dog who seemed to have forgotten who is his master.
“Let’s go to the military compound.” Kyle glanced at Lica, who nodded her head. They still had to give some important reports in regards to this matter.
