192 City F <3>

She was not exactly the type of person who liked going to the field directly and felt that she had started to regret her decision to come forward.

But how many awakened were there in the Research Facilities?

Even if she didn’t volunteer, she would be sent to other missions too…

The thought just made Lica wanted to cry.

“Yes.” Dylan nodded.

Kyle looked at these giant mutated animals’ corpses that drowned into the water with frown. If the giant mutated animals near them were already rank 5, what would the rank of the others giant mutated animals at deeper area?

He couldn’t really imagine it.

Would there be any giant mutated animals at rank 7? If there was truly already any giant mutated animals at rank 7 at this time, even he was not sure that he would be able to defeat it.

“Meow.” <Kyle? >

.....

Kate looked at Kyle, who was staring at the deep tunnel in front of him. Raising her paw, she placed it on top of Kyle’s hand to reassure him. Even if there were more powerful giant mutated animals in the tunnel, he was not fighting alone.

She will support him!

Kyle lowered his eyes and looked at the little cat that was staring in his direction seriously. The corner of his lips curled up to form a devilish smile. “Let’s go.”

Dylan looked at Kyle for a moment and then at Lica. “Ready?”

“Y... Yeah.” Lica nodded, trying her best to stay calm. As a researcher, she had been living behind the glass along with her equipment around her. It was rare for her to come here and fight at the frontline.

She had to admit that she felt afraid.

It was impossible for her to not to feel afraid when she had never faced these giant mutated animals directly.

“Don’t waste your strength needlessly, Dylan.” Kyle narrowed his eyes when he looked at the rampaging giant mutated animals coming towards them.

“I know.” Dylan was calm. This kind of place is his territory. With the water surrounding him, Dylan easily lifted his hand and the water followed his control. It turned into countless sharp blades, killing these giant mutated animals in front of them easily.

However, Dylan frowned.

The strength from each of these giant mutated animals were all at rank 5. It was needless to say that ordinary people would never be able to come here.

“How do you detect the gems?” Kyle asked as they walked.

Splash! Splash!

Turning back into a cat to make it easier for her to sneak into Kyle’s pocket, Kate was looking at these giant mutated animals with distaste. Her senses spread far away, enveloping the complicated maze of the water tunnel.

Kate’s expression changed slightly.

These water tunnels were indeed wide and complicated. But what made her extremely furious was the fact that the number of giant mutated animals were simply too many. Not to mention, she detected that some of them were equally as strong as her, which meant that they were rank 6.

And some of them even made her feel that they were too dangerous.

She could only grit her teeth and pulled those white dots over forcefully from those giant mutated animals that she felt dangerous no matter how faraway they were.

BOOM!

The earth shook with Kate’s movement.

Lica shrieked a bit. “That… that… I brought the newest detector that we developed. If we’re within the same room, I should be able to get the notification.”

“I see.” Kyle frowned and then looked at Kate.

“Meow.” <I’m just attacking some powerful giant mutated animals so that they wouldn’t be troublesome.>

Kate felt that these rank 7 giant mutated animals were very troublesome. The moment the white dots within their body was pulled out, they would notice and began to go on a rampage.

Countless other giant mutated animals were killed on their pursuit towards their location but Kate didn’t stop and continued to pull these white dots. This was what caused the earthquake to occur.

Splash! Splash!

“There are more.” Dylan’s eyes widened when he sensed that the giant mutated animals coming at them were more powerful. His hand jerked as several water blades shot out and it took several of them to kill one of them.

In that moment, he knew that these giant mutated animals were all rank 6.

“Find it quickly!” Kyle glanced at Lica.

“I’m trying!”

Lica wanted to cry without tears. She had already activated the device, but even if they walked inside, they hadn’t noticed anything wrong. All she could do right now was to try her best and made sure that there was nothing wrong.

Bam! Bam!

The earthquake turned worse and Kyle patted Kate. He had the feeling that she was the one influencing the earthquake, but Kate was silent.

She was actually guiding the two powerhouses of rank 7 giant mutated animals inside to find each other and clashed. At this moment, the two of them had just met and the clashes directly caused the earthquake.

This should be called as killing with borrowed sword, right?

Kate then silently withdrew while still paying attention to these white dots in case it was necessary for her to make her move again.

They turned a corner and Lica was busy looking at the detector while Kyle and Dylan took turn to deal with these giant mutated animals. Even if they were at rank 5 or 6, they were not a match against these two.

The problem was…

How long would it take for Lica to finish?

<The areas outside>

Bang! Bang!

The earthquake made it difficult for them to move. They were trying to rescue people, btu the ground under them shook constantly.

“Damn it! Just what happened below?” Jake cursed as he threw the car in front of him away to release the person inside. “Get out of the city now! Don’t get too close to here!”

“Yes!” the man shivered and then began to ran limpidly.

Jake then looked around and saw that the others were busy moving the rocks from a destroyed building. “Anyone else still inside?”
