Chapter 17: Abilities
The dinner room in Kyle’s house was equally luxurious.
At this point, Kate was simply numb. She felt that she would not be surprised whatever Kyle showed to her anymore. Anyway, the dinner was simple.
A milk for her.
And a plate of canned meat for Kyle.
It seemed that he was not interested in cooking at this point of time.

Kyle didn’t bother explaining and brought Kate directly to the basement below. At first, Kate thought that she would see row of cars just like what the television showed about rich people. However, what she saw made her dumbstruck.
It was a warehouse in the form of basement.
There were countless foods, weapons, clothing, and many other items that people might need during this kind of times.

“Meow?”
Did Kyle already have insider information prior to this event? But she didn’t even know anything!
Alright, what was she do comparing herself with Kyle.
She was nothing more than an ordinary student while he was someone... whom she didn’t even know his network and position. His phone call not long ago had already shown that he was not someone ordinary.
Because of that, Kate felt that he might truly have some insider information.
“Meow.”
Kate jumped down and landed on the ground. She was a bit surprised by how flexible her body is. Even if she was jumping from a height a few times her height, she could still land calmly.
A cat’s body was indeed amazing.
Ugh... that didn’t mean she wanted to stay as a cat forever, alright?

Kate walked towards the nearest box and looked at it. Her eyes widened when she saw that it was a box of milk powder. Looking at it, it must be the milk powder for her because a little kitten couldn’t survive drinking normal milk for some reason.

Anyway, they needed special milk in order to raise them.
Kyle looked at Kate and then walked towards the boxes in front of him. “I’m going to put them into the truck. You pick the ones you want to carry.”

Kyle didn’t bother explaining more as he began to work.
Only Kate was left in the warehouse.
At this moment, Kate understood that even though Kyle had prepared a lot of supplies, it would be impossible for him to bring all of it with him. First of all, the problem of transportation existed.
Secondly, where would they put these many items.
But Kate felt that leaving behind so many items would truly be a waste.
“Meow...”
Kate walked by the box in front of her as her tail swayed lightly. When the tip touched the side of the box, it suddenly disappeared.
“MEOW?”
Kate was stunned.
She looked at the disappearing box of milk with widened eyes and then at her own tail. For some reason, she felt that her tail might have some magical abilities.
“Little Kitty?”
Kyle returned when he heard the voice of this little cat meowing so loudly. He felt that this cat was really noisy today. The number of times she screamed so loudly seemed to have surpassed that of a normal cat by a couple of times.
But when he entered, he saw that a box magically appeared in front of the small cat.

The next moment, the box disappeared again.
