105 Third Day
Kate was skeptical.
However, she decided not to think too much about it.
Because it was already late, Kyle switched to guard with Jake and went to sleep. The other two had no other choice but to switch with each other to guard for the night.
When it was morning, they could clearly see the people from Sunshine Group was walking with tired look towards them. From the way it looked like, they might have experienced more giant mutated animals’ attack at night and thus couldn’t sleep again.
Well, it was to be expected.
Kate had the inkling that Kyle’s ability still affected them, causing them to lose quality sleep and ended up being very tired.
Those people from Petra Group was also nearby.
“We’re going to go separately from now,” Petra said coldly at these women from Sunshine Group who had caught up. From the way it looked like, these women didn’t have good night sleep at night as they were forced to endure the fierce battles with giant mutated animals.
But he didn’t care.

What he cared the most was that these women had caused them to lose sleep and had to fight unnecessarily. These giant mutated animals would not be attracted if not because of their screaming.
Petra hated troubles.
“I know.” The leader of Sunshine Group was also a woman and her face was as black as a pot right now.
After experiencing the last night’s disaster, she had the urge to kick her own teammates. Who made them all so easily scared of things? This hadn’t happened before and she felt that she was really unlucky.
For most of them to experience nightmare at the same time was indeed a disaster.
“We’re going too,” Jake interjected as he waved his hand. Their location to rest last night was not that far, but it was enough to avoid the incoming giant mutated animals’ horde that was attracted by Sunshine Group.
“Got it.”
The Sunshine Group looked dejected, but they continued to walk towards the direction of the granary. No matter what, they still had a mission to accomplish. What they could hope right now was for these giant mutated animals not to appear too many again.
They wouldn’t be able to deal with so many giant mutated animals anymore.
Petra then turned to look at Kyle and the others. The men behind him could sense that their boss was tense and seemed as if he was going to attack Kyle and the others.
They were not afraid.
But in a place where a lot of giant mutated animals were roaming, it was indeed not ideal for them to fight.
“Do you want to settle the old things for once and all, Kyle?” Petra asked, his tone of voice was incredibly cold.
“No.” Kyle’s eyes were cold. “I would not be satisfied with only this.”
Petra laughed coldly.
Behind him, Lotus looked at Petra and then at Kyle as her eyes flashed with unconcealed hatred and fear. She had some abilities that awakened, but after seeing what Kyle was capable of inside her ‘dream of past life,’ she would always feel fear of Kyle.
What had happened inside that ‘dream of past life’ was very real. So real that Lotus felt that she had truly experienced that past life. It was also very outrageous that in that place, she was incredibly weak and could only watch as these monsters rampaged on the battlefield.
This time, things were different.
She’ll grow even stronger than these monsters and prevented those wars from going on!
“Meow?”
Kate lightly patted Kyle’s hand that was near the pocket’s entrance. She couldn’t see him, but she could sense his coldness that seemed to permeate from his bones. It was a bit scary, yet she had gradually learnt to accept him.
At the very least, he had never hurt her.
As his ‘cat,’ Kate lived a very fulfilling life, so she didn’t want to leave his side in the slightest bit.
Kyle’s body eased slightly, but his eyes were still terrifyingly cold when he looked in Petra’s direction. There was no way he could forgive Petra for what the other party’s family had done to him.
His revenge had almost completed.
Back then, a little bit more was what needed for him to thoroughly destroy Petra’s family’s life.
But the apocalypse happened.
It was like a cold joke to him and Kyle had no interest to continue pressuring Petra for the time being. He had to make sure that he was strong enough first to have a say in this changed world.
“Isn’t it enough that you destroyed my life before this damn apocalypse?” Petra asked, enraged at Kyle’s cold response.
“It’ll never be enough.” Kyle looked at Petra coldly.
Petra gnashed his teeth and the earth rumbled as countless spikes appeared on the place where Kyle stood.
Swoosh!
Lightly stepping to the side, Kyle avoided Petra’s attack and waved his hand. Fire spread out towards Petra and his men, causing them to yell and quickly spread water in order to make sure that they would not be burned to death.
Petra’s eyes widened. He gnashed his teeth. “You’re also rank 4.”
“You too.” Kyle nodded.
It seemed that Petra was growing well even though his financial state was definitely not as good as Kyle after being bombarded by Kyle so many times.
‘So fast.’ Lotus gritted her teeth. After joining Petra’s group, she had grown faster, but she was not fast enough to reach rank 3 before the second red rain. As a result, she only advanced to rank 3 after the second red rain.
After that, she had to experience the bitter struggle before she finally managed to reach the peak of rank 3.
In their group, only Petra was at rank 4.
The rest were at rank 3 with various minor advancement.
On the other hand, Kyle’s group were all those at rank 4 and if they were to have a battle, it would definitely be very bitter.
Lotus felt desperate.
Why does it feel that things were never going in accordance to what she wanted? Even though she had tried to alter a lot of things in order to make sure that it was more convenient for her, many things didn’t seem to be the same as her expectation.
Now, all Lotus could do was to reach those ‘places of opportunity’ faster than the others in her ‘dream of past life.’
That way, she will be able to monopolize those things and grew as the strongest!
“Meow.”
Hearing the loud meowing, Kyle took a deep breath. He could also sense that a number of giant mutated animals were approaching their location. If they were to stay any longer, giant mutated animals would surround this place.
They would become meals for those giant mutated animals.
“Let’s go.” Kyle passed another look at Petra and shook his head. Sooner or later, he will settle Petra and Petra’s family member. But for now, it would be more important for him to finish the mission given to him first.
How annoying.
“Ok.” Jake and Dylan had been silent at this time because they knew the conflict between Kyle and Petra would never end so simply. In the world where law governed almost everything, Kyle was doing whatever he could to make life hell for Petra.

The others didn’t think that way.

Petra’s group had too many people.
There will be another chance in the future.

“Boss, a lot of giant mutated animals were going this way!” one of Petra’s subordinate suddenly yelled. He was the scout of the team and had wind element, so he could sense their arrival the fastest.
“Let’s go! Take the motorcycles.”
While Petra was rushing, Kyle had already asked Kate to take out those floating skateboards and the group rushed out.
This way, the four groups all went on their own way.
“Meow?”
Kate peeked out as Kyle was riding the floating skateboards to avoid those giant mutated animals who were coming at them. They could fight but fighting so many giant mutated animals would definitely waste their time.
They didn’t want that.
“Little Kitty, you should just stay inside and hide.” Kyle patted the little cat’s head. He looked at the little cat meaningfully. “Can you sense the arrival of these giant mutated animals?”
“Meow.”
Kate shook her head. She tilted her head to the side, wondering how she should explain about these white and black dots. Because they represented life or to be exact, only present on humans and animals, she could technically see them.
