"Can't you just help your only grandson out of goodwill?" Aion asked and then sighed. "Well, I would feel suspicious if you didn't ask anything in exchange, so what do you want?"

"You asked that king to keep the territory of the capital to yourself. I want you to ask for the whole territory and rebuild everything," Arc replied. "We aren't going back, but I want our history to exist until the end of this world."

"That will make me sound suspicious, and just when I was asked to lay low… Well, most of the territory is a desert, so Vangel can't use it," Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "If I offer him the materials of the earthworms… By the way, where are the earthworms coming from?"

"It is right in the middle of the Western side of the desert," Arc replied. "If you want his cooperation, you can just create a road connecting their territory with the land that your half brothers are managing for you. It should be easy with your magic."

"That is a good idea… see, you can be reasonable if you try," Aion said. "Nevertheless, a road that needs to be hundreds of kilometers long… it will take a while."

"Negotiate with him and succeed and you will obtain my mana," Arc added. "If you do that, I will convince the others to talk with you."

The mana of millions of mages… Aion looked at Arlana, wondering if she had planned to let him use that. She just smiled… while her smile looked devoid of malice, Aion had to be careful around her. He decided to bring her with him out of pity since a life in that world couldn't be considered a real life, but he truly needed to be careful.

In any case, bringing Arlana to the castle was out of the question, and since he didn't feel higher mana than his mother coming from her, Artemisia would be fine. She still had the relic that Sauros handed to her as well.

"I can't complain, but… why do I have to play architect now?" Aion thought and then sighed.

Building roads and repairing cities… Aion will have to do that by himself since no one in their right mind would repair the city of a group of people that tried to take over the world.

In any case, Aion reached his home the other day in the middle of the morning, and then he found his mother drinking some tea in the garden with someone else. When they landed there, Aion furrowed his eyebrows when he saw Seris.

"Hmm, I didn't expect to see you here," Aion said.

"Aion, you are already back!" Artemisia got up and then smiled even more when she saw Arlana. "Who might you be?"

"Her name is Arlana, and she is from the future," Aion replied since he didn't want to keep that kind of secret from his mother.

"From where?" Artemisia frowned.

"The future…" Aion replied.

"... I can see your mouth moving, but I can't hear any sound coming from it," Artemisia showed a serious expression.

"Mother… it seems that I can't tell you where she is from. The same thing happened before and I am starting to understand it," Aion stroked his chin. "To put it in simple terms… she is from a place that you shouldn't know of and she also shouldn't be here following the natural order of things."

"... I see," Artemisia said while looking at Arlana. "Time magic has some requirements that are truly fascinating."

"Yes… by the way, mom," Aion said. "She is going to work for me and live with us, so can you help her find some clothes and give her a room."

"Of course, of course," Artemisia said, and then she recalled something and then grinned. "By the way, Aion. Seris came here to tell you something very important. Which is…"

"Which is that I am going to monitor you to prevent the misuse of the relics!" Seris stepped forward and then interrupted Artemisia. "It seems that I was a bit too late, though… to think that you would bring someone from the future…"

"So, you heard me…" Aion said. "I guess that makes things easier for me."

"... Is that fine, Seris?" Artemisia asked.

"It is, don't worry about that, and please don't say anything unnecessary," Seris said while forcing a smile.

"Well, I guess it is your choice then…" Artemisia showed a rare serious expression. "Come with me, Arlana, and I will guide you through the house."

"Yes, ma'am! I am a huge fan!" Arlana declared.

"Of whom?" Artemisia frowned.

Those two left the area, and Aion was also left with a lot of questions… it seemed that Seris heard that he killed a lot of people, but he didn't use the relics for that. Did she sense it? That happened a bit too fast, though.

"It seems that you annoyed your mother. What did you do?" Aion asked.

"Nothing important, still to think that you would do such a thing… considering her appearance, I can tell that she is one of us, but…" Seris said.

"What do you mean by that? Are you saying that mother is petty or something?" Aion furrowed his eyebrows.

"Get serious for a moment… making people come from the future is something serious," Seris said while looking at the house. "Considering her appearance and the fact that you are cautious, she mustn't have lived a good life there, but even so… can you explain what happened?"

Aion sighed, but he decided to tell her a few things. He needed the insight of people like Seris, after all. Sauros probably would be more suited, but those two couldn't leave their territory once again for many months.

"I see… this is something quite serious," Seris said. "Your guess is right, you won't be able to go to that timeline anymore and humans are what makes other timelines exist. However, to think that the world in five hundred years might cease to exist… maybe not for the right reason, but I came at a good time."

"Why did you come then?" Aion asked.

"To monitor you! Why else?" Seris asked.
