Aion quickly grabbed their crossbows and began to process them. With their structure and poison, they were going to improve the refinement of the wand quite fast, and that was what he needed the most right now since that was the slowest. It would be a pain if he reaches a level to the max and is forced to wait because of the refinement level.

Aion quickly disposed of the groups of assassins and then headed toward the mansion. He was expecting that the guys there would put up a better fight. All of a sudden, the lights inside turned on, and then the entrance door opened, revealing the tall figure of a fully armored warrior.

"... You wore that armor pretty fast," Aion said while feeling that something was off with that dark and purple armor.

The warrior didn't say anything and just charged toward him, unarmed. An armored warrior without weapons… that was another suspicious thing in the whole situation.

The guy was fast despite its size, but Aion flew to the side fast enough to dodge it. The warrior quickly turned and then lept to attack him before turning in mid-air and almost hitting him with a hound house kick.

Aion jumped to the side while raising an ice wall, and his weird feeling was confirmed when he saw the wall melting when it was touched by the enemy's armor. He wasn't even surprised by it since he could tell what was going on…

"I see now… someone in the future is interfering here," Aion thought and then changed his class to Demonic Berserker.

Everything made sense now… all of the preparation, the enemies waiting for him, the invasion of the fallen capital, that armored guy that was probably vulnerable to magic thanks to his armor… the lord of the city prepared for Aion's arrival. He didn't expect that he would deal with such a situation so soon… but it made sense. He got the relics now, so perhaps that created a future that a lot of people disliked.

The enemy suddenly stopped when he saw the Bloody Ax appearing in Aion's hands. He had heard of his magic, but not about his ability to summon weapons like that? Something was off…

Still, Aion didn't waste that chance… while the enemy was hesitating, he charged and swung down his ax. The enemy blocked the weapon with both arms, but Aion's strength was higher and made him drop to his knees… However, Aion's mana began to be sucked.

"What?" Aion muttered in shock.

The enemy didn't even use that chance to attack him. His armor began to glow and became bigger… that thing wasn't made only to protect him against Aion's magic, and it was the perfect counter for it.

Aion jumped backward and calmed down while analyzing that situation… he had never heard of anything like that armor. Although he couldn't see the enemy's face, but he could hear him smirking.

"All right… you will become my first dullahan," Aion said.

The enemy had no idea what Aion was talking about, but he suddenly felt shivers when Aion moved his ax to the right side of his back. The tail guard was famous for giving people a chance to concentrate and deliver insanely powerful blows, after all.

The enemy charged in order not to give Aion time to do anything, but that had been a terrible mistake. Aion created an ice wall in front of him, and the enemy lost sight of him for a moment. When the armor began to melt it, Aion's ax was already moving and a few centimeters away from his neck.

In the next moment, the warrior saw the world spinning, and he was unable to move his body, and then the world turned white…

You have leveled up.

You have leveled up.

You have leveled up.

"That is a lot of experience that could have gone to the Priest class. Oh well… it can't be helped," Aion thought and then sighed.

Aion changed his class again and then grabbed that guy's head before turning him into a death knight. It was unsightly to have a naked death knight, but Aion wanted that armor for himself to study and use it, so he took it from his newest pawn.

Dozens of guards began to leave the mansion, and then a bell began to ring. The sound almost made Aion's eardrums explode.

Soon after, all the people in the city began to leave their houses and tried to escape from the city. That was another weird thing… Usually, the kind of person who uses assassins are assholes that don't care about themselves, so why would the lord alert everyone to escape?

"He wants to slip in the confusion… he has some secret passageway that will let him mix with the population trying to leave," Aion thought while he changed back to the Priest class and began to kill the guards with ice arrows on their heads.

Aion wasn't sure if the lord had that, but it would be a better passage that would lead out of the city. In any case, he didn't have much time to escape so that Aion could catch him. He made light work of the guards and then entered the mansion. He ignored everything else and just followed the direction the guards were coming from… they were trying to block his way and from reaching the library.

"Classic," Aion thought while shaking his head.

When he got there, Aion didn't see anything out of the norm, the library was dark, but the shelves were fine. Still, Aion knocked everything down easily with a gust of wind, and that revealed a secret passageway near the wall.

The lord and his family were trying to run away as fast as possible using the secret tunnel that would lead them outside of the city… he cursed Aion under his breath. He had heard of his strength. Still, he never thought that he would be actually such a monster.

"That beast… that beast… even though he told us to be careful…" the lord said.

"I am interested to hear about him…" Aion's voice echoed behind them.
