"I guess that is all," Clanire said while grabbing the final relic and passing it to Aion. "I can't say that it was a pleasure, Aion Kresnik. You are the kind of kid who grew with too much freedom and never behaved."

"It is fine, grandma shrimp," Aion shrugged. "Now that I have the relics, I can say that most people won't like me because of them and not because of my attitude."

"You will never improve if you keep using that kind of excuse," Clanire said. "Anyway, I might not remember you, but we will probably see each other again."

"We will?" Aion asked while frowning.

"You will understand that when you begin to use the relics," Clanire said. "Well then, until later."

Clanire snapped her fingers, and then all the mana in the tower began to dissipate… she began to glow, emitting a light blue tone, and then she disappeared while smiling. Aion's ancestor was a bit different than he had expected, but she sure was an interesting person…

"It is over, huh…" Sauros said and then sighed. "Mission accomplished… still, I wonder if we should feel relieved. I think that from the later half forward of the missions, we became useless."

"So, you think so too?" Aion asked.

"Ouch…" Sauros said, forcing a smile.

"Putting that aside…" Seris said. "If you are planning to use the relics, you should warn us beforehand. With our archives, we can help you find the right place and period to go…"

"True, I can even recall some historical periods that look suspicious," Sauros rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Things will be different when you travel to those places, and you will probably need some backup. This time onward, we will be more effective against the problems that you might face."

"I will think about it," Aion said and then created an earth platform before jumping on it.

All help would be welcome, but Aionn couldn't wait for months to use it… but he will have to take a break for a few after all these months away from home. Regardless, Sauros and Seris jumped on the platform, and then Aion flew to the breeze of the sea…

The storm around the island was dissipating when they approached their ship… at the same time, Aion wondered what would happen to that tower. The storm was protecting the whole island, and all that mana was gone now. Hopefully, that place won't turn into a mess once other people find it.

The crew greeted those three when they arrived and began to work on a large party. Aion knew that things were going to get noisy, and he was kind of tired, so he went to his room… the trip back home would take at least six weeks, but he couldn't wait that long to rest.

As soon as he landed on the bed, Aion felt like all the weight had left his shoulders, and he immediately relaxed and fell asleep. When Aion woke up, it was already late at night, and then he went to look for something to eat since things were noisy outside, and he doubted that he would be able to continue even though the waters were so calm that night.

Aion sighed when he went to the kitchen and only found some snacks and booze… the group sure knew how to party without care. If it were him of before dying, he would be joining them, but now Aion felt even more the need to stay on guard.

When Aion went to the deck, he saw Seris playing a weird game with others. Apparently, they had to fill their mouths with booze and hold it while others tried to make them laugh… if you lose, you have to drink more. Aion found it difficult to understand the logic behind it… drinking normally would be more efficient.

"Aren't you going to join us this time as well?" Sauros asked after he approached.

"I would rather not. I don't want to hide things from my mother, and lying would be even worse," Aion shrugged his shoulders. "Saying that I partook in this kind of activity probably would make her question the whole journey."

"As usual, you are very uptight," Sauros said and then laughed before drinking a cup of their booze. "Even Seris is enjoying herself, and she is also quite uptight. Well, I can't blame you. Aside from when we are drunk, most of the crew still keeps a certain distance from you."

"No problem, I can understand the reason. You all have been working together for a long time," Aion said while watching one of the participants of the game pass out after vomiting. "I bet you guys don't get or invite many guests over the years. I am also seriously to a fault since…"

"Since?" Sauros asked while frowning.

"Nah, it is nothing," Aion said while shaking his head since he needed to forget that he had come from Earth.

"You will probably have a lot of work once you get home, but don't use the relics as soon as you have some free time," Sauros said after he cleared his mind a bit. "You might want to try to solve all the problems that arise by yourself, but you need to consider that you are not the only one affected by them. If you truly want to solve them without risking causing more problems. You need to keep that in mind… shit. This isn't the time for that kind of talk. Let's just celebrate that we accomplished our mission! Celebrate for three days and three nights!"

It didn't seem like Aion would be able to sleep much during those three days, and he wondered if the whole crew was going to survive at that pace.

Since Aion didn't want to say anything troublesome and he didn't want to drink until he vomited, he didn't join the party in the usual way. Still, at least he used his Bard class to make them recover faster.
