Chapter 261 - Ruby Is Lost!

Javier has personally taken a look at Sierra's resume to find it incredible. In his eyes, he felt that if she would be one of the employees, then there are a high chance of profitably.
After all, as a businessman, who would not like to recruit such an experienced person? Specifically, if they are also lacking specialization in this particular field.

Staring at his phone, Charles took out the picture in the gallery where a girl was holding an ice cream in her hand and her hair was pulled into a ponytail. Taking a small bite of her ice cream, slightly it was rubbed against the nose of hers which was also white.
"Woman… you have underestimated my love and possessiveness. You can return back on your own wish but it seems like you forgot who this place belongs to…"

At the time, Amara was hell out of worry. Her hands searched in her cupboard, in the hope of finding the precious ruby.
However, she failed miserably since she wasn't able to see it anywhere else. A frown curved on her face when she took a few steps back and moved to the side tables of the bed.
Opening and checking them once, she found nothing but empty, 'God… where can the ruby be?'
She has already checked the locker as well, unfortunately, there was no sign or presence of the thing which was looking for.
The door of her room was opened when her eyes flew to see Lucas standing with a? fun-loving smile lingering on his lips, "Mother… h-"
His eyes widened when his eyes traveled to find out that his mother has created the mess in the entire room, "Why are your clothes and everything messed up on the bed mother?"
"Lucas… my son.." Amara's timid voice only made Lucas's eyes curve into a slight glint, "Is there something that you would like to say?"
No words seem to escape her lips when she nods her head slightly, indicating that something did take place.
"I..I.. can't find…"
"Can't find what?" Lucas asked, with obvious puzzledness that was planted on his face when he walked closer to her and held her shoulders more firmly,? "tell me, my dear mother."
He looked straight into her eyes as if demanding what had happened to her, which is making her so stunned.
Amara's lifted her face was which was filled with sweat when her eyes averted downwards and replied back, "I..I.. can't find the ruby…. It isn't here anymore.."
"MOTHER!"
Lucas yelled when he took a few steps back, with evident shaking due to the news delivered to him. It gave him a big blow when his brows increased, to stare at his mother. "Please say this isn't true."
"I..I. wish this wasn't true Lucas. I literally searched everywhere..but there is no sign of it.." subconsciously, Amara held her head in stress when she once again moved back to check the drawers.
Bringing all the clothes, and the important stuff on the ground, however, there was no sign of the box in which she had kept the Ruby. "Wasn't it there in the locker? Where Can it be even if this is not in this please?"
A voice of Lucas was adding to her current tension when she can sense herself on the bay of almost going crazy! The previous gem was out of her hand and she had no idea about it and was already a big blow to her self-esteem.
"Someone.. must have taken that from here. It is stolen!" Amara replied with a confident voice since she was sure that it won't leave its place until and unless.. someone has tried to mess up with her locker.
Lucas's eyes were staring at his mother's back who was constantly involved in the search for the ruby but found nothing.
In the end, his mother turned around and looked at Javier, with her almost foreign eyes. He can't even relate with what happened nor her and all of the circumstances made her look at him with his doubtful gaze.
"W-what has I done to you! Why are you giving me this look?" He asked, with authority in his voice yet somewhat he was still consumed with fear.
Maintaining the same statement, he lifted his chin to act mighty and not let his mask fall from his face to disclose everything.
Amara simply stared at his tainted face when she moved closer to him. Out of the blue, she held his collar where her furious eyes seemed to look at Lucas, with an aggressive approach.
"Tell me, Lucas! Have you taken that from my closet!?! Did you try to mess with my things and get the runaway?"
