Chapter 129 - Hidding The Truth!
With this thought in mind, a wicked smile appeared on her face. Javier simply took notice of her action but didn't raise his opinion in this.
Letting her live in her dreamland and the imaginary world would be the best thing, to begin with.
"Many things done and asked about me. So what about you? Do you crave for the same?" he asked, making her bubble burst.
Her gaze averted into his direction, to look at his face and nodded her head slightly. "Somewhat yes. I too wish to go away from the mess. These mafia things have stopped our careers. "
"Living In Abroad is very good. There you can own a flat and there is no mafia group to rule you and out restrictions. Having a good and stable job there and then a sweet family. What else can I eat except the small things in my life?"
Her reply too brought a smile to Javier's face but he hid it before she could have witnessed and recognized the same.
With the passing time, he has grown closer to her and since the passage of time, he wished for their closeness to increase.
With the talks of night, he was pretty much sure that he has successfully gained her trust otherwise, a person like her won't have revealed something so close to her heart too easily. 'Probably, she might feel secure about me and the way I told her..'
Hearing that both of them were in the same direction, made them personally very happy and delightful to hear. While one was deciding whether to fall in love with the person opposite her or not, the other one was already in love with her, which step can he take ahead now?
"Jennifer, verify my words. In this world, you have the power of everything, to begin with, and nothing can hold you back. Understood?" hearing this, she nodded her head. "I'm aware of it. But sometimes..you see leaving family and everything behind isn't that easy too."
"Because there are many restrictions around you. If you keep them aside, you can live a life of happiness and be free of those cages. But I believe that there are high chances, you must have enjoyed a lot in your life, am I right?"
His question can be taken into many contexts, and Jennifer was unsure of what to feel about?
Does he mean about her past which she shows to everyone in her family? Or because she got the chance to attend a university abroad, without the care of her family?
But she has no wish to get deep into the conversation related to the same, "maybe yes maybe not but in the end what matters is the settlement. I want a settlement where I can live happily. No one will disturb me there and no fight."
"Raising a kid in the mid of this environment is the worst thing. With enmity running between the groups for years is also the reason which makes the children of the family go into the intense training. I have experienced the same and I don't wish my children to undergo the same nature as me."
Suddenly, his voice changed with the one and this is surprising for Jennifer too. She has never witnessed him expressing about his childhood much or the intense training!
'After all, he is a Johson heir, he might have gone through training to safeguard himself ..' She recalled the last time he fired guns and how he used his laptop and passed through high-tech security, to make her see her parents.
Recalling that part, her mood suddenly turned gloomy. Her parent's faces came in front of her eyes when she restored them and a faint smile lingered over, 'How much I miss you both…'
It was uncertain if they remember her like how she is doing yet why is she missing them so much right now? It was unusual of her to say anything.
Javier noticed her loneliness in the eyes and she was speechless for of minutes. But to comfort her, he added his words, "Missing family?" he received a Hmm from her which made him certain that he guessed it right.
"You don't have to. They aren't missing you either. They are super busy with work..and to establish the company. You are simply wasting your time while remembering them.."
The confession took her by surprise when her eyes were wide as saucers. Her heart was shattered when she heard his comments which seemed too realistic, "You aren't serious, right?"
She rose from her position and sat on the bed, with utter shock. Overwhelmed with sentiments, Javier wasn't expecting such a response from her side, "Obviously...I'm..kidding. You thought I'm serious?"
A fake chuckle passed via his lisp but Jennifer was too occupied with the tough emotions, which she failed to see if it was fake or not.
A sigh of relief escaped from her mouth when she once again laid back, but this time with tiredness and ease in her heart.
"I feel so relieved to know that. After having some clarity about life, I'm already feeling so satisfied and..happy from the bottom of my heart." Jennifer said.
"Good to hear that. Now let us go back out to our sleep since we might need to open our eyes early in the morning as well. Hopefully, you will be able to sleep now."
Jennifer nodded her head at his answer and took her blankets above her body. Javier instantly switched off the lamps from the side and it was once again dark in the room.
When Jennifer was tiredly sleeping, this time she successfully got into deep slumber since her heart was softened by Javier's words.
Yet his gaze never shifted from her soft face even for a second. He kept on staring at her for god knows how many minutes, with the intensity as if he wishes to tell her the deepest and darkest secret that he just holds back.
'How shall I now disclose this in front of you that your parents..are simply licking Lucas's boot to get themselves something and not caring about your location even a single percent?'
