Chapter 337: Conflicts and Backups
Wang Hao squinted his eyes as he observed Asnyan who took the vanguard position.
With her defensive power, Asnyan was the perfect shield for her group.
Wang Hao frowned, as he knew that with Asnynan in front, any of his or his littles sister’s attacks will just be shrugged off by her ridiculous defense.
Wang Hao’s opponents seemed to know it as Stella, Shou Nanren and even Merlin all went behind the ‘valiant’ Asnyan.
But if they have a brick wall protecting them, then Wang Hao’s little sister has a sentient energy sponge guarding her.
“.....” Merlin let out a sigh, as he realized that the two groups were now currently in a stalemate.
From what he can see, due to the seal, Wang Hao can only display power around the Third Stage. But even with that seal, Merlin could feel that Wang Hao will have no difficulties absorbing their attacks!
As for why Wang Hao could do that, Merlin found out that his current layer on the Akashi Records did not allow him to know what exactly Wang Hao’s bloodline was. The only info that he had was that Wang Hao was a Universe Tier Godly Divine Beast whose most abilities were affected by a powerful seal.
Wang Hao saw Merlin’s not-so-happy expression, making him smile. Now, this old guy knows that with Wang Hao around, they will have no way to capture and take his little sister away.
“Hey Little Wang, how much longer will it take for you to heal?” Wang Hao said as he nudged his little sister’s gigantic wings.
“Hurry up and heal, so that I can see your cute face once more.”
“Hmph, its not Little Wang! My name is Wang Mei!”
Wang Mei said as she seemed to pout with that long beak of hers.
“Well-” Before Wang Hao could say anything, he felt the other two Godly Divine Beasts who left earlier going to their location.
Upon seeing this, Wang Hao sighed as he realized these two took care of the delegates of the Immortal and God Continent easily.
“He’s strong.” That was what Jian Chen muttered as he saw Wang Hao. He grasped his sword as fighting intent appeared on his eyes.
“Those guys I faced earlier were unable to stand up against the might of my sword! Too bad they used an escape talisman to ‘escape’ from me. But I was not serious when I fought them. But this time, I will use all my power to cut you down!”
Jian Chen seemed to not care when Merlin repeatedly sent his divine sense saying that Wang Hao will be hard to damage.
The whole planet Thrae began to tremble as Jian Chen let out his sword aura. Every sword practitioner in the planet Thrae felt their own being trembling after they felt Jian Chen’s sword aura.
Even the cockroach Ling Tian, who was currently hidden somewhere, felt his own dao slightly challenged by Jian Chen’s presence.
“Hmph, he is a good sword practitioner!” Ling Tian muttered as he stared at his battered body.
“Just one more day, and I will be able to regain all that I lost... No, I might even be able to surpass it. Hahahaha, just you wait Fang Lin and Fang Yu!”
Ling Tian’s laugh echoed inside the cave as he imagined his glorious return tomorrow, especially when he plunges his swords deep on Fang Lin and Fang Yu’s hearts.

Nobody noticed or even felt Ling Tian’s fluctuating emotions as they were all focused on Jian Chen, who seemed to about to attack already.
Wang Hao tensed his body, feeling slightly wary of Jian Chen.
The energy of Jian Chen’s attack could be absorbed by Wang Hao.
But the sword intent by Jian Chen could possibly injure Wang Hao.
In the past, Wang Hao’s continuous and torturous tempering of his spirit and soul made him obtain a powerful intent that allowed him to somewhat resist the attacking intents of his enemies just like sword intent or spear intent.
But the seal on him even chose to seal that intent of his!
He can only regain that intent once Fang Lin steps into the Third Stage. As for when that happens, Wang Hao was not sure.
The mist-covered woman, who was watching the unfolding play stoically, suddenly trembled as she felt something familiar on Wang Hao’s body.
Not only that, but she also felt that same aura on one of the captured Divine Beasts at the top of the Palace. That gaze of hers fell on none other than Illusion Fang Lin.
“You two....” The mist woman muttered as she physically stopped Jian Chen from making a move. She gave Jian Chen a pointed stare before she looked at both Wang Hao and Illusion Fang Lin.
“You two have been to the Dreamworld right?” Some traces of excitement could be heard from the woman’s voice, as if she that question of hers was matter of life and death to her.
Upon seeing her expression, Wang Hao smirked as he replied,
“You are right. I have been to the Dreamworld already. So what about it?”
Wang Hao was an opportunist by nature, so he knew an opportunity when he sees one. And right now, this mist woman was like a piece of big fat juicy tender delicious caramelized sauted piece of steak.
“Merlin, I think I would not be able to allow you to hurt this man.” The mist woman said as she gave Wang Hao a hopeful look. “He’s my only hope...”
“What the hell are you thinking Wu Meng? We are here to defeat the Immortal Continent and to bring some fine specimens!” Merlin shrieked as he pointed at Wang Hao and Wang Mei.
“That two will be extremely helpful to the progress of out planet! Do not just shatter that future with that selfish request of yours!”
“You!”
Wang Hao resisted the urge to laugh, as he realized that the enemy’s group was starting to fall out much earlier than he expected.
Now, he only needed more external factors to further widen the rift inside the enemy group.
That external factor came in the form of a powerful aura exploding out of the Immortal Continent.
Wang Hao squinted his eyes as he located where that aura came from.
It came from the ‘center’ of the Central Divine Empire.
Wang Hao’s eyes slightly widened as he realized where this powerful aura came from.
“Isn’t this absurd?”
With his energy sense, Wang Hao was able to eavesdrop on some select locations at the palace of the Central Divine Empire. What he heard made him confirm his suspicions.
“So the Central Divine Emperor who was missing for a year has appeared once more!” Wang Hao thought as he gave a sigh of admiration.
“Damn, this Central Divine Emperor sure is a talented guy. He seems to be not a Godly Divine Beast, but something in him tells me that he can fight toe-to-toe with a Godly Divine Beast!”
This revelation was not only privy to Wang Hao. Even the other Godly Divine Beasts felt this threat.
“What a great talent. This Central Divine Emperor seems to only have a mortal bloodline, yet he was able to reach these heights in cultivation! This planet seems to be a place for hidden talents!”
“Ah, I want to fight him too...” Jian Chen complained with his eyes still trained on Wang Hao. “Maybe after we defeat you....”
“I said no!” Wu Meng said as the mist around her flared, showing her intense agitation. “Try touching him, and you will see my wrath!”
“Look here, you stuck up b**ch!” Stella cursed as she summoned a lightning dragon behind her. “Do not think your privileged childhood will work here. We are all together in this mission now, and not even request from a brat like you could change our minds!”
“You!!!” Wu Meng opened her mouth, as if she wanted to say something more. But she stopped as she felt that that Central Divine Emperor, who just went out wherever he came from, was suddenly rushing their place!
Wu Meng did a double-check, and he realized that the qi approaching them was indeed of the Central Divine Emperor.
“See? Look what you have done now!?” Stella sneered as she looked at Wu Meng contemptuously. “Because of you delaying us, that pigeon and man duo will have a back-up now. Judging from the power of that guy, he can also fight evenly with us!”
“That makes our opponents up to 3 now!” Stella huffed as he shook her head. “Now, our chance to defeat the Immortal Continent was delayed because of you!”
“Are you sure its just 3?” Wang Hao smiled as he looked at the certain part at the top of the Palace.
The other Godly Divine Beasts followed his line of sight, and there they saw a middle-aged person sitting cross-legged at the top of the Palace. With their trained eyes, they realized that nothing was happening to that person.
“Are you making a joke?” Asnyan grumbled as she gave an irritated look to the middle-aged man. “Hmph, this guy makes me feel irritated, I think he should die now.”
Shou Nanren nodded his head after hearing what Asnyan said. His hands expanded in size as he stomped the middle-aged man to death.
To nobody’s surprise, the middle-aged man was quickly ‘killed’ by that attack.
“So now, where is that mystery 4th fighter?” Jian Chen asked as he looked around him enthusiastically. “Show us!”
“Just you wait...” Wang Hao said as he looked at that splattered corpse of the guy that Shou Nanren killed.
That middle-aged guy that was stomped to death was of course Illusion Fang Lin.
As for why Illusion Fang Lin was sitting like that, it was because of what was currently happening with the real Fang Lin at the Goddess Planet.
When Wang Hao saw the sitting position that Illusion Fang Lin assumed, Wang Hao realized that Illusion Fang Lin must have been affected by whatever was happening with the real Fang Lin.
What made Wang Hao happier was the fact that the cross-sitting position that Illusion Fang Lin had was used quite often in a certain process.
That process is when someone creates his/her core and steps onto the Third Stage!
Since Illusion Fang Lin was just an illusion, it was impossible for him to make a breakthrough.
This only means one thing.
And it was that the real Fang Lin was now breaking through the Third Stage!
And since the real Fang Lin seemed immersed in the process, Illusion Fang Lin must have been caught up in the breakthrough state, leading to his position and ‘death’ earlier.
Wang Hao rubbed his hands excitedly, knowing how strong Fang Lin was right now. Once he steps into the Third Stage, his power will skyrocket more.
At that point, maybe Fang Lin might be able to barely survive full powered attacks of a Fifth Stage Practitioner.
Aside from that, the 4th petal on Wang Hao will be unlocked, granting him more power and more abilities from this space-time gyroscope. By that point, some of Wang Hao’s fighting dilemmas will be solved.
“Now I just need to wait for him to finish his breakthrough.”
But with that happiness comes some questions.
“Why did the real Fang Lin decided to have a breakthrough now? Did he meet the big baddy of the Goddess’ Planet and decided to risk it all just to beat that baddy?”
Wang Hao cupped his chin as he realized,
“In that case, maybe Fang Lin is in grave danger right now.”
