Chapter 294: H2O + Cl2 = HCl + HOCl
The King Hydra pulled no punches as it started attacking Fang Lin fiercely. It let out a roar as its soul that was strengthened by the laws began to suppress everyone on the ship.
“Ugh!” Fang Xiushang grunted as he felt as if his soul was entirely soaked with water. He paled, as he realized that this was the effects of the soul suppression of a Law Soul Practitioner!
“Be careful!” With Fang Xiushang’s divine sense, he could faintly sense a core spinning inside Fang Lin’s transformed body.
Even though the core seemed to let out an aura different to a normal Law or Dao Core, Fang Xiushang knew that its might was just a little weaker than that!
“Did Ricardo just step into the Third Stage? That explains why his core seems weaker than the real one!” This was the excuse that Fang Xiushang thought to himself.
But even with that stage, Fang Lin should not be able to fight against the King Hydra smoothly. After all, the soul of the King Hydra will just suppress Fang Lin’s, making him weaker in this fight.
But Fang Xiushang saw something else entirely.
“What?”
He saw that Fang Lin was not affected by the soul suppression at all! The water spears that were supposed to pierce the weakened Fang Lin were all dodged by his long body!
Fang Lin’s eyes, which suddenly turned violet, narrowed as he approached the surprised King Hydra slowly.
“How can this be!” This was the first time that the King Hydra spoke to them. Its gravelly voice betrayed the surprise that it was feeling right now.
“How can you not be affected by my soul suppression! Just what are you!?”
“I just have a strong soul, that is all.” Fang Lin replied smugly.
Of course the main reason for that was the Violet Aura by the Rainbow Dragon had.
Fang Lin can use it without others seeing it, just like what he did now. The only indication that he was using it was the violet tinge on his eyes.
“Lies!!!!!” The King Hydra bellowed at it realized that weakening Fang Lin was no longer an option. It decided to go all out, using its strongest attack to obliterate him to pieces.
Even though Fang Lin can ignore the soul suppression of King Hydra, the difference between a Third and a Fourth Stage Practitioner was something that that the current Fang Lin could not hope to surpass!
That’s what the King Hydra was thinking right now.
But his imagination was way different from the reality.
“Woooh.....” Fang Lin opened his mouth as he swallowed all the water spears that were lunging towards him.
The King Hydra could only watch as the water all disappeared on his large mouth. The King Hydra then realized that it lost its connection to the water spears!
But even if Fang Lin was able to absorb the water spears, the kinetic energy that they had still exists, since he was unable to absorb them. They continued to pierce towards Fang Lin, only for them to suddenly vanish.
“Tsk. Of course he did it.” Fang Lin muttered as he discreetly stared at Wang Hao, who was whistling comfortably at the deck of the ship.
Wang Hao just had to wave his hands to make those kinetic energy dissipate. Wang Hao did it so smoothly that nobody detected what he did.
“I don’t believe that you can continued that hocus-pocus that you just did. Take this!” The King Hydra continued spouting out attacks with the water around it.
Water blades, projectiles, even water tornadoes were all sent towards Fang Lin.
The area between the two battling colossal creatures had already turned into a stormy area, with monstrous waves being born all around them.
But all those attacks were nil as Fang Lin absorbed the water content of these attacks, while Wang Hao was secretly dispersing the energy.
The ship’s passengers who saw what was happening started to cheer as they saw Fang Lin effectively neutralizing the King Hydra’s attacks.
Even Wang Hao was impressed with the way that Fang Lin was able to ‘turn the tides'(pun intended) against the King Hydra.
“So Ricardo was this strong huh. He reminds me of Fang Lin. Maybe Ricardo can really lead me to Fang Lin.” Fang Xiushang muttered as he continued watching the wet and wild duel.
“.....” Ling’er was quiet as she watched the battle too. She was silently clenching her fists, with her face looking peeved for some reasons unknown.
The King Hydra paused as it realized that its water spells and attacks seemed to not work on Fang Lin at all.
It decided to get serious as it began to use its ‘real’ attacks.
“Argh! Acid Reflux!” The King Hydra bellowed as its skin turned white.
“Boil boil...” Fang Lin felt a strange sensation on his tail, which was submerged on the water. He looked down, and he saw that the water was currently boiling!
No, those were not the right words. After all, the liquid Fang Lin’s tail was submerged in right now was not water anymore!
The King Hydra turned the water around them into an extremely corrosive acid!
The boiling that Fang Lin saw was the bubbles produced when the sea creatures near them were affected by the acid!
Their corpses floated up to the surface, showing Fang Lin the devastating effects of the acid.
The passengers on the ship then started coughing out as they inhaled the fumes produced by the acid.
Fang Lin grimaced as he discarded the thought of devouring this acid.
With his strengthened soul, Fang Lin was able to discern that this acid was an effect of the laws that the King Hydra practiced. That means the King Hydra specialized on Water and Acid Laws!
Fang Lin would not want something created by the Laws to be inside his body.
Fang Lin had no choice but to lift the ship high into the air. It was lucky for Fang Lin that he can float, which exempted him from the effects of the acid.
He then looked at the King Hydra, who seemed immune from the acid. The King Hydra let out a roar as his whole body was submerged on the acid.
Fang Lin watched warily as the eyes on the 8 heads lost their luster.
Then to Fang Lin’s surprise, the whole body of the King Hydra disappeared in the acid! It was as if the King Hydra was melted by the acid too!
Fang Lin of course knew that this was one of this sea creature’s tricks.
A few seconds passed by, and Fang Lin saw 8 figures rising out of the acid area.
“Oh great....” Fang Lin muttered as he saw that each figure was entirely made up of acid. Their appearances were similar to the King Hydra and astonishingly, even their power levels were similar to the King Hydra’s!
It was as if there were 8 King Hydra’s right now!
“This is one of my strongest technique.” The King Hydra’s voice came out of the entirety of the acid area. It was as if he became the acid area itself.
“My soul, which had been tempered by my acid and water laws, allowed me to be one with this acid area that I created! What you see right now was a technique I created with conjunction to this acid area.”
The 8 King Hydra’s then shot out plumes of acid straight towards Fang Lin. They were now 64 heads, which sent 64 acid plumes towards him.
Since he does not want to devour it, Fang Lin had no choice but to dodge.
If it were a normal situation, Fang Lin can dodge these plumes with ease, even with his transformed body.
But right now, he was carrying a ship full of people on his tail, so he also had to prioritize their safety!
The King Hydra knew of this fact as he sent half of the attacks towards the ship itself.
Fang Lin did his best to dodge the plumes while making the ship safe too. But the King Hydra’s cunning paid off as one acid plume landed on Fang Lin’s sides.
“Hiss...” Fang Lin hissed in pain as he felt his skin corroding at the impact area. He had to use his essence qi to suppress the acid from spreading further.
Fang Lin’s suspicion was right. These acid plumes created by the King Hydra was able to actually hurt him! He was lucky that he did not devour this acid earlier!
That was inevitable, since the body that Fang Lin had was still at the Second Stage.
The only reason he was able to fight almost evenly with the King Hydra earlier was because of his additional powerups like the essence cores.
Adding the fact that he cannot use his bloodline abilities because he was hiding his identity, and Fang Lin was in a risky situation against the King Hydra.
The King Hydra laughed languidly as it realized that its bet was right.
Fang Lin has some abilities that can make him almost on par with a Fourth Stage Practitioner, but his overall attack and defense were still not at that point!
That was proven by its acid law attacks hurting Fang Lin.
“Hahaha, I shall make a great snake kebab out of you later!” The 8 King Hydras then resumed their attacks as they closed in on Fang Lin!
