Chapter 247: The 72 Generals

“Hehehe, now its time for me to see what you can do!” Wang Hao said as he gave an expectant look to Fang Lin. But to his dismay, he saw Fang Lin frowning.

“What’s the matter Fang Lin?”

“Master....” Fang Lin gave Wang Hao an apologetic look as he said,

“You know about it right? That even though my insights have progressed, my cultivation remained stagnant on the past 6 months.”

“I know about that.” Wang Hao nodded. “So what about it?”

“Well.... right now, just after I used the fusion form, the Origin Energy that my body produced permeated my mana stream and my dantian. And I think my Origin Energy is now pushing me into a cultivation increase.”

“What?” Wang Hao’s eyes furrowed as he heard Fang Lin’s statement. “If what you say was true, then does that mean you are needed to be fused in order to increase your cultivation?”

“Not exactly like that master.” Fang Lin shook his head. “It just sort of happened right now because my Origin Energy stimulated my body. This stimulation happens only once though. Once this stimulation was used up, I cannot use this method to increase my cultivation in the future.”

“Ok. So by fusing yourself right now, the Origin Energy you had will give you a once-in-a-lifetime stimulation to increase your cultivation?” Wang Hao iterated slowly. “And once you used the stimulation, you cannot use the same method in the future?”

“Yes, that’s exactly it.” Fang Lin said while nodding his head.

Fang Lin was actually surprised that this happened. After all, he did not expect the Origin Energy to stimulate his body. Too bad this can only happen once. And as for how he was going to increase his cultivation in the future was still an uncertain factor.

“Then how are you going to increase your cultivation in the future then?” Wang Hao asked Fang Lin worriedly. “Since you can only use that Origin Energy stimulation once, we still have to find a way to help your cultivation to increase after your so-called stimulation process.”

“About that master...” Fang Lin scratched the back of his head as he said “I think I already knew why my cultivation stagnated a little and I think I already have a remedy for it.”

“Really? Do tell me then?” Wang Hao said challengingly. “Let’s see if this method of yours will actually work.”

“Master... can we just talk about it later? I really have to use the stimulation right now.” Fang Lin said as his body twisted uncomfortably. “My body feels... weird right now. I think something undesirable will happen if I do not stimulate my body right now.”

“Do you know that what you are saying right now sounds a little weird too?” Wang Hao smirked after he heard what Fang Lin said. “Stimulate your body? I wish your hands can do their job well!”

“What? No it’s not like that!” Fang Lin embarrassed shout was ignored by Wang Hao as Wang Hao threw Fang Lin towards the storage of his Space-Time Gyroscope.

...

With him having a change of place, Fang Lin decided to start his ‘stimulation’.

By the time he was able assume a meditative pose, his body was filled with an unknown sensation that made him want to moan out loud. Remembering what his master said before throwing him in here, Fang Lin decided to endure this as he circulated his Origin Energy towards his Dantian and Mana stream.

Even though he was currently fused, Fang Lin still retained his dantian and Fang Yu’s mana. They were only covered by the much more powerful Origin Energy.

Fang Lin looked at his singular Dao Pillar. With its 60% quality, there were only 6 cracks on the Dao Pillar. Fang Lin focused as he decided to improve the quality of his dao pillar to remove other cracks. He also decided on adding more pillars with the stimulation if it was possible.

As for his converted mana, Fang Lin took a deep breath, knowing that this part will be a painful one. As for how many percent of mana he can convert, it all depended on his luck.

Fang Lin then closed his eyes, bringing himself to the peak state of concentration. After a minute passed by, he opened his eyes as he muttered,

“Now!”

“Bzzt!

Fang Lin grit his teeth as his Origin Energy kneaded his Dao Insights together with his qi. It was a slow process, but it was a stable one. Slowly but surely, Fang Lin felt the quality of his Dao Pillars increasing.

60.1%, 60.2%, 60.3%,.....

Fang Lin let out a relieved sigh realizing he might be able to create an Absolute Dao Pillar at this rate. As for whether he can create more Dao Pillars, it will depend on his luck later.

Fang Lin then turned his attention on his converted mana. He let his Origin Energy run wild there, forcing the mana embedded on his cells to be converted into materialized mana. Just like what Fang Lin thought, it was a painful process.

He felt like as if there were countless knives piercing his cells and they were scooping out their contents. It was an unimaginable pain to him.

But Fang Lin held on, knowing that a stimulation provided by his Origin Energy was a once-in-a-lifetime event. He must not waste any drop of it.

“If I persevere with my mana conversion, I might reach 30-40%! At that state, I will be able to cast Legendary Spells more than 5 times! Maybe I can also cast an Ancestral Spell if I willed it!”

Fang Lin’s eyes shone as he swore to himself,

“Push on!”

.....

“Tsk. I wanted to see how strong my disciple is right now. Then that pesky stimulation happened! Stimulation this, stimulation that!” Wang Hao thought angrily to himself. “Since Fang Lin was out for now, it seems like it will still be up to me to beat up those Djinn goons.”

He looked at Genie, who was just staring at Wang Hao, still reeling at the conversation that happened between Wang Hao and Fang Lin.

“Where is the Great Milkmaid and Fang Lin?” Genie asked warily. “You have no malicious intent against them right?”

“I do not have any.” Wang Hao shook his head wryly as he saw the wary look on Genie’s face. People who had seen Wang Hao’s real face will always feel wary against him, no matter what gender they are. The only people who trusted him were few, just his family and also Fang Lin.

“Those two met a lucky encounter that will increase their cultivation. However, this increase will happen right now and cannot be stopped. So I stored them in my storage first. As for that Djinn you were worried about, I shall be the one to deal with them.” Wang Hao said proudly as he showed his slender arms to Genie.

“Even if you have read the jade slip, let me remind you once more of the names and powers of the 4 Djinns you will fight with.” Genie said while giving Wang Hao a worried look.

“Haborym, with the Nature Power of harnessing the fires and magma of the volcanoes.”

“Agares, with the Nature Power of Mountains and Earthquakes.”

“Buer, with the Nature Power of Vegetation.”

“Orias, with the Nature Power of the Void.”

“Yeah, yeah I know that already.” Wang Hao then paused as he gave Genie an accusatory look.

“Wait, I am sure I have heard the names of those Djinns before. Hmm...... aren’t they part of the 72 Generals of the Devourer Solomon?”

Genie’s breath hitched, making Wang Hao sure of his suspicion.

“Hahaha! So the Devourer Solomon was actually here! The all-knowing devourer who went missing thousands of years ago was actually injured in here!” Wang Hao shook his head, clearly amused with the situation.

“From what I heard earlier, you are a former comrade of theirs right?” Wang Hao stared at Genie closely. His eyes widened as he looked at her features. With the nature of her ability, Wang Hao realized who she was.

“Haha! Your name must be-”

“Yes. That is my name.” Genie snapped, clearly annoyed by Wang Hao’s meddling. “Now that you know that the notorious Solomon and the weakened remains of his Generals were here, did you change your mind about helping your disciple?”

“Of course I do not.” Fang Lin said merrily. “In fact, I am excited to see the power of the feared 72 Generals.”

“Hmph. Follow me then.” Genie snorted as she led Wang Hao to where the other Djinns were.

Wang Hao checked his internal clock, and realized there’s only 5 minutes left before the Mist Room dissolves.

“5 minutes huh? Let’s do this then.”
