402 Universe of Runes
Elliot's second phase of study took exactly three days.
He had spent so much time with the other Ascendant Runes that although the latest batch consisted of the Royal Elements, he was able to quickly master them.
In those three days, Jul'Taras, Monkey King and Jessica had also ingested the remaining Life Seeds and Death Energy particles which Elliot had to gain access to the powerful Darklight Energy as well.
Additionally, Elise Sands had prepared all of the most powerful treasures and medications that Elliot and the others would need to successfully breakthrough to the Emperor level.
And they wouldn't be breaking through in the usual method.
"What I am about to teach you is true breakthrough to the Emperor level." Elise Sands said proudly as she started her lecure to the four participants. "It is no longer suitable to be merely called River of Runes. Instead, I call it… Empire of Runes!!"
"Empire of Runes!" Elliot breathed in awesome wonder as his incredibly sharp mind instantly extrapolated the idea put forward by the name and reached an accurate conclusion of what Elise Sands would teach them in seconds.
"Instead of merely filling up your energy pathways with runes to elevate the quality and quantity of your energies, what I am proposing is-"
"The creation of entire runic "cities" within our bodies that would absorb energy from the outside and serve as an endless source of energy for us!" Elliot shouted excitedly.
Elise Sands blinked in shock.
That… was an excellent idea!! And definitely a thousand times better than her own idea which was merely to create new energy pathways and create a three-dimensional energy system rather than the flat two-dimensional system that normal Emperors would have!
It was already a bold and heaven-shaking idea.
But Elliot's idea was much better!
And apparently, he wasn't done yet.
"And not just energy absorption and distribution centers! We can also create offensive and defensive centers that would automatically release attacks and defenses within a specific proximity if they at an active state!!" Elliot went on excitedly with shining eyes.
"Each offensive and defensive center would be connected to twelve, specific runic cities absorbing and distributing the twelve specific energy elements.
The larger the city we make, the more spells can be stored within them! And as soon as we cast out a spell, the cities would automatically weave the energies required to cast that spell and store them, ready to be used once more!
That way, all of our spells would be instant cast with just a single thought!!
And if we can create a storage of at least ten spells per unique spell, then as long as we have enough energy, we would be able to cast every single spell we have instantly and infinitely!
Amazing!! Amazing!!!
You… are the biggest genius of the entire known universe." Elliot looked at Elise Sands and praised her sincerely from the very bottom of his heart.
"Ahhahahahahaha! And don't forget to modify the energy pathways too! Make them three dimensional instead of two." Elise Sands shamelessly added.
Elliot nodded once more as he slowly took in and processed the implication of Elise Sands' idea. He then sighed in utter admiration at Elise Sands' "genius".
"Now I know where my genius came from. It must be from you, great grandma! I thought that I was unique. But apparently, I am merely the descendant of the biggest genius the universe had ever seen!" Jessica Sands said in awe.
"Ahahahahahha! That's not all! Far from it! I shall be a good teacher and allow you to discover the sheer extent of what a genius mind completely set free from the shackles of mediocrity can achieve! Think! Think hard!" Elise Sands said sagely.
Of course she had no more idea how such a wildly ingenious idea could be improved further. But she wasn't about to let the kids shortchange themselves.
The greatest enemy of best is, afterall, good!
If one is satisfied with the good, then one will never reach best!
Elise Sands sat there quietly and allowed the four heaven-shaking geniuses mull on how to improve the Empire of Runes even further.
"Theoretically, with the Ascendant Runes and the principles from the Dark Rune, the advancement to Emperor level becomes a completely blank canvas. There are so many things that we can create with the energy pathways… It's a shame that we can only do it once." Elliot said thoughtfully.
"It's like a painting. You decide on what you want to paint and then paint it. Once you're done, it's done." Jul'Taras said.
"I am not making a painting." Elliot shook his head decisively. "I am making a full fledged nuclear powered dragon out of myself.
This is what I have in mind.
And endlessly reacting nuclear fusion and then fission, contained within containment runes and controlled by nuclear control runes to power the Empire of Runes.
Automated offensive and defensive centers.
Auxiliary centers of movement and miscellaneous spells.
And… cloning centers. Instant full powered clones of myself on the go."
"Good. Don't forget to create portal summoning centers. You would be able to extend your will into the Elemental Realms and summon powerful elemental entities from there.
You can always cast that manually, of course. But having it automated and centered into a specific runic city would ensure that the strongest elemental entities are always at your beck and call." Jul'Taras added.
Elliot nodded quietly and started to envision how everything would connect together within his body.
The rest started to do the same thing.
Even though Jul'Taras and Monkey King had limited mastery of the Ascendant Runes, they had mastered the fundamentals sufficiently to apply the principles and qualitatively improve the applications of the runes they have on hand.
Plus, they were fated to never truly master them anyway.
There was no point delaying their growth for a long time to wait for that very slight additional mastery of the Ascendant Runes which wouldn't make much of an impact.
They would proceed, and then rise up as powerful movers and shakers within the known universe!
Elise Sands blinked and grinned internally to herself.
The universe truly belongs to the youth.
From the River of Runes, to the Empire of Runes. And now with whatever they were planning… she would call it… Universe of Runes!
