398 A Demon

"That's not even the most important question!! Where is Big Brother Blue Thunder??" A blue-furred pitbull shouted in alarm.

At that, all remaining eight pitbulls looked around and only then they realized that they had lost their second strongest warrior without even being alerted to the process in the slightest!

"This isn't good at all!" The noisy hundred-tailed red-furred pitbull shouted. "Stick together, everyone! We cannot lose -"

"WHERE IS BIG RED?? HE IS GONE!!" The two-hundred-tailed red-furred pitbull shouted in panic.

"WHAT? HE WAS JUST HERE!"

Every single pitbull whirled to look at the spot where "Big Red" was last seen mere seconds ago, and true enough, he was gone!!

"Stick together, cover each other's backs." Death White commanded.

The remaining seven pitbulls obeyed instantly.

"Should we combine into one again?" A blue-furred pitbull asked nervously.

"Yeah, I think we should." Another blue-furred pitbull replied equally nervously.

"The reds won't like it though, right gu- THE REDS ARE GONE!!" A blue-furred pitbull shouted in horror as he realized the two noisy reds which were supposed to be next to him had both disappeared!

At that moment, Death White finally realized that his choice to split was a fatally wrong one.

Although the split allowed them to handle the many images of their opponent easily which allowed them to avoid losing more tails, it also separated them into nine weaker individuals, all of which were far from being a match to their opponent.

"We need to recombine. Now." Death White commanded.

But by that time, only two other pitbulls were left, and they were completely frozen in fear.

"Stop staring at nothing like an idiot!" Death White snapped at them. "Quick! Get into posi…"

That was as far as he got before the two remaining pitbulls faded away into nothing right before his eyes!!

"Now, only your remain." Saint Dul'Akharat's voice sounded from nowhere and everywhere.

Death White, as always, remained silent and merely looked around, looking for him calmly.

"Don't bother looking. You won't find me. You should know by now that I could make you disappear as easily as I could the rest of your team." Saint Dul'Akharat chuckled.

"Then why haven't you?" Death White asked calmly.

"Because I need information. You look pretty important, I am sure you know many things about your realm. Why don't you tell me some of the more important secrets? If you do, I will give you a clean death." Saint Dul'Akharat said calmly as he gave Death White a "generous" offer.

"No." Death White said calmly. "I will not empower my enemy. Just kill me."

"Of course I will kill you. You don't have to be so impatient. But since you are unwilling to teach me, then don't blame me for the pain that you will be suffering next. You brought this upon yourself" Saint Dul'Akharat said with a regretful sigh.

A sliver of fate energy appeared out of nowhere and entered Death White's head very suddenly.

Before Death White could react, it suddenly howled in absolute pain!!

"Waaaooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!"

But it was a very short howl of pain.

Within a few seconds, Death White was comatose as Saint Dul'Akharat forcibly read his memories.

"So he is nothing more than a high ranking warrior. He isn't interested in intelligence gathering at all. Cheh. What a waste." Saint Dul'Akharat grumbled lightly to himself as he closed his eyes and sorted through Death White's treasure trove of memories.

"Nothing much here." Saint Dul'Akharat sighed and then burned the body to ashes in an instant.

He took out the other nine pitbulls he had caught, and started casually doing the same thing to them as well.

One after another, he shook his head with a sigh and burned them all to ashes mercilessly until…

"Hmmmm? Hohoho. What do we have here?" Saint Dul'Akharat chuckled gleefully as he read through the hundred-tailed red-furred pitbull's memories.

"To think that this weak furball is actually a spy! What an amazing set of information! I need to relay this to Elise Sands at once!"

After a few seconds, he burned its body to ashes as well and gave a very satisfied smile.

"So that's the secret! Agents from the Realm of Sin had already infiltrated the Shadow Realm. They would be attacking within a hundred years. When the lips are gone, the teeth would be cold. I would need to make sure that the Shadow Realm remain capable of resisting them even after we neutralized them as a threat to us.

But how can I achieve two seemingly contradictory objectives? To neutralize the threat the Shadow Realm poses on us, we need to weaken it. But for it to be effective in resisting the Realm of Sin, we need to strengthen it!" Saint Dul'Akharat thought aloud even as he injected all the crucial information into a device to be passed to Elise Sands as soon as possible.

However, he suddenly turned to the south in surprise. "Another spy from the Realm of Sin? And with a mysterious artifact? Interesting!"

He blinked, and then instantly appeared at the site of battle on the Southern Front.

There, his two clones had managed to defeat the Southern Shadow Primal and had even managed to capture him.

One clone had went on to read his memories while the other departed to destroy the Shadow Fleet.

His clone passed him the mysterious artifact as soon as he got there and Saint Dul'Akharat started to study it very intently.

It was a small black sphere the size of a normal human fist covered with light carvings of strange runes all over it which he did not understand in the slightest.

"These strange runes seem to be depicting a spell of sorts. I can sense its killing intent. It is probably the Realm of Sin's version of a spellbook." Saint Dul'Akharat muttered to himself.

However, all of a sudden, the black sphere started to glow and a strange projection of a being appeared above the sphere.

It was a demon!
