If Primal Dul’Akharat died, they would definitely die too.

Primal Golden Dragon Soul would never allow for loose ends to exist.

“How is that for not underestimating you, Primal Dul’Akharat?” Primal Golden Dragon Soul smirked lightly as she looked at the powerful explosions at Primal Dul’Akharat’s location with great satisfaction.

She had not detected any use of space energy, so Primal Dul’Akharat was definitely still in his original location. Plus even if he managed to blink away without her detecting it, the Wild Space energy around him would definitely disrupt his spell and deal great injuries to him.

All in all, it was almost confirmed that he was either dead, or critically injured!

“Not too bad. I would never have guessed that you even managed to get Primal Lightning Asura to join your faction.” A calm voice sounded from within the area where the explosions were still ringing out.

Primal Golden Dragon Soul’s expression turned extremely at his words.

She had used her very best chance to take out Primal Dul’Akharat and failed! What kind of monster was he to be able to resist 22 all out attacks from similarly powerful Primals?

“But you are still severely underestimating me if you believe that I, Dul’Akharat of Hell’s Gate Sentinels, would fall under such weak attacks.” The deep voice continued without even a single trace of exertion.

The fact that he had dropped his “Primal” title when he was referring to himself was not lost on Primal Golden Dragon Soul or any of the Primals.

Blink.

The seven traitors immediately retreated, causing the imbalance of power to worsen, fifteen Primals against eighty two.

But amazingly, it was the eighty two who had looks of shock and even trepidation on their faces!

Swoosh!

A cleansing power surged out from Primal Dul’Akharat and repaired the strings of fate that was so taut that they looked as though they could snap at any moment.

And when that happened, the other Primals finally knew.

That Dul’Akharat was a Primal no more.

Primals were able to impact the strings of fate by their immense power.

However, only Saints could manipulate fate at will. The fact that Dul’Akharat repaired the strings of fate so easily was all the evidence they needed to see.

They were up against a Saint!

And like all power levels, the gap between a Saint and a Primal was not a small one.

In fact, it was huge!

How many Primals would it take to overwhelm a being that could pluck and manipulate each and everyone of their fates?

How many Primals had to die before they could reach him?

And yet how many more had to die to snuff out his life?

Thousands.

Primal Golden Dragon Soul could feel her world crumbling around her. Things were becoming desperate. And the use of her trump card seemed inevitable.

“You’ve hidden your power very well, Saint Dul’Akharat.” Primal Greenlife Tree rumbled from opposite him. “I never would have imagined that not even the lack of Prehistoric Bloodline could stop your ascent.”

“Indeed. You truly are the genius of our known universe.” Primal Baltang sighed. “Such a pity.”

“I was hoping to keep my ascension a secret. But the situation developed way too fast and got too out of hand. I apologize if I spoiled your plans, you bunch of traitors.” Saint Dul’Akharat said to Primal Greenlife Tree.

“And you, Primal Lightning Asura. Why?”

The wolf simply smiled and remained silent.

Saint Dul’Akharat sighed. Primal Lightning Asura’s betrayal saddened him greatly. He actually considered the wolf a friend.

“Old friend. You break my heart.” Old Wabetto growled at the wolf, who ignored him as well.

“Good riddance. At least he defected without dealing too much damage. He could have easily wounded us heavily if he chose to.” Madam Liu said quietly. But Old Wabetto could sense the deep smoldering anger that radiated out from her like so many sharp knives.

A strange silence befell the room at that moment. The emergency meeting which they held to discuss Elliot’s killing of an Ancient and its implications for the coming war against the new universe had completely devolved into a strategic resource grab, which had taken the form of an unofficial coup d’etat against Dul’Akharat’s leadership.

And now that Dul’Akharat had proven himself to be completely head and shoulders above the rebels, they could only wait on his decision on how he wanted to proceed.

However, Saint Dul’Akharat seemed to be extremely relaxed and was totally in no hurry to even address the situation!

“Chairman El’Taras, as usual, your information gathering capabilities are impeccable. You actually got six out of seven traitors!” Saint Dul’Akharat said pleasantly as though he was merely having a casual conversation with his friend by the streetside.

“Saint Dul’Akharat, you praise me too much. Missing out on one is as good as missing out on all of them. Thank goodness you’ve already ascended. If not things would get pretty ugly.” Chairman El’Taras smiled and bowed politely in response.

“It is already pretty ugly.” Saint Dul’Akharat chuckled. “A war with the new universe is about to break out, and the strongest force in our known universe is split into two. Just how should we resolve the situation?”

“It is too late to resolve the situation, Saint Dul’Akharat. Primal Golden Dragon Soul shook her head lightly. “In fact, it has been too late for many years already.”

At her strange words, Saint Dul’Akharat, his faction of Primals, as well as Chairman El’Taras frowned deeply.

How come it sounded as though Primal Golden Dragon Soul… Had defected to the enemy??

“Primal Golden Dragon Soul… What have you done…” Saint Dul’Akharat said softly.

“I may have underestimated your strength, Dul’Akharat. But you have also underestimated our hunger for power.” Primal Golden Dragon Soul said quietly as well.

“It is slightly premature, but extreme situations call for extreme measures. That Prehistoric Grade Bloodline is far too important to be left outside of my control. You should have accepted my offer when you still had the chance. Now… it’s too late.

The curtain for inter-universe war… opens.”
