GRAHHH!!
In his hyper-tanky Secret Transformation which was grandly called Unyielding Strength, Brock truly was a sight to behold!
His fur had strengthened to armor-grade and at that moment, an ominous black glow was covering the entirety of his body, making him look like a spectral bear of death. He looked extremely deadly, and judging by the Darklight Energy that was leaking all around him, he wasn’t just about the looks.
He was definitely the real thing!
Being a lazy beast, Brock had rarely taken the initiative to take on strong enemies and because of that, often times he was overshadowed by his fellow beasts’ high profile performances.
However, Brock was a fearsome warrior in his own right. And during that battle where there were more Hegemons than beasts, he was finally forced to fight at his full strength lest any sort of harm befell his heavily-armored but still very cute granddaughter.
He charged towards the two Hegemons who had appeared in front on them at high speed, intent on taking them both on even at his King level.
Ellie quickly charged after Brock, unwilling to let his gramps to take all the fun!
She too had received her Secret Transformation aptly called Venomous Mountain, and her fur had turned into a chilling shade of green that struck fear into the hearts of all her enemies.
Although she was slightly smaller than her grandfather, she actually made for a far more scary sight than him!
Both Hegemons were battle hardened veterans, and had seen more than their fair share of scary sights, so they weren’t affected in the slightest.
They couldn’t help but form condescending sneers as they beheld the two bears’ mighty forms bearing down (lol no pun intended) on them like mighty freight trains.
However, a trace of uneasiness could be seen mixed along with their condescension.
“King level, yes. Looks stupid too. But why is the pressure they are giving out so god damn freaking heavy?”
And as Brock got closer and closer to them with a similarly armored Ellie following hot on his heels, the two Hegemons decided to curb their sneers and take the two Kings seriously.
An excellent choice, one that definitely saved them from certain death. Taking on Brock and Ellie’s full powered charge completely unarmored was pure folly, Hegemon or not.
They unleashed their mighty Hegemon defensive auras against the two bears and shouted their battlecries as they cast their defensive spells around themselves.
Alas, although they had curbed their condescension somewhat, they failed to be considerate of the low-energy environment they were fighting in, and they had foolishly decided to cast spells that had to absorb nature energy to manifest.
They were hardly at the top of the power pyramid and their runes immediately fizzled upon being cast.
They had immediately reacted by casting out other spells that were powered by their own energy to manifest, but it was too late.
The two bears had reached them while hooting in pleasure at the free pass they were given!
WHAM!
Brock and Ellie barreled into the two Hegemons almost at the same time!
With only their Hegemonic auras shielding them, the two Hegemons were immediately sent flying away at high speed. Without a doubt, they were injured. But it was unlikely that they would be out of the fight.
As foolish as they were, they were after all… Hegemons!
With the two Hegemons out of the way for the moment, though, Brock and Ellie could focus on wreaking havoc among the Emperors.
But the Emperors were no fools.
Seeing the two Hegemons sent flying with a single charge by the two freaks, they knew that even a thousand of them wouldn’t be able to deal with them!
They immediately dispersed in all directions, content to busy themselves fighting the less scary Darklight Summons.
For a brief moment, Brock and Ellie were completely alone in the battlefield, an oasis of calm amid a terra-crushing battle that gouged massive craters all over the place!
Near them at a different spot on the battlefield, the trio of Specter Wolves were dealing with four particularly tricky Hegemons.
All three were flight-capable, so they were hovering a few meters off the ground and looking down at the four Hegemons who had strangely chosen to take the defensive instead of the offensive like the rest of their peers.
The four Hegemons were dressed in sleek, silvery modern armor and looked really similar to each other. They were most probably siblings.
Additionally, they were in a formation of sorts, and a strange energy hummed around them.
The trio could sense that the strange energy had defensive properties, and it seemed extremely formidable.
“I can’t blink into their formation.” Kai announced grimly. “The space within the formation is locked down.”
“Interesting. Let me test their defense and see if it’s as formidable as it seems.” Rom said with a smile. He was finally free of Romarok, the Dark Brainwyrm, and he was in an infinitely good mood.
Fireblast!
A massive fireball appeared in front of Rom’s maw and smashed onto the strange energy!
WHAM!!
However, the strange energy merely shimmered lightly and absorbed all of Rom’s fireblast!
“Hmmm? It can absorb dad’s attack. And if it can absorb, it probably can unleash attacks as well. I have a plan…” Kai immediate told his parents his plan. Within a few seconds, both adult Specter Wolves nodded and began to unleash their long range attacks repeatedly upon the four Hegemons!
Wham! Bam! Boom! Bam!
Fireblast after fireblast, Azure Lightning Blast after Azure Lightning Blast landed upon the four Hegemons whose smiles slowly grew wider and wider as the two adult Specter Wolves’ frenzied attack continued unabated for several long seconds.
The strange energy started to shimmer lightly as they very quickly approached the cap of the energy they could absorb.
And as Kai had predicted, the strange energy suddenly gave out a bright light and suddenly unleashed an earth-shattering attack on the trio of Specter Wolves!
