The Northern Dragon’s attacks came in very hard and very fast.
Thankfully, with Elliot’s Bronze Cosmic Dragon Energy, his parries took out a chunk of the Northern Dragon’s limb each time it smashed a vicious attack at him.
The Northern Dragon’s high speed worked completely against it as it hammered against Elliot’s parries again and again in a short amount of time and lost chunk after chunk of its claws.
After three seconds, they had exchanged a dizzying one hundred strikes, and Elliot was expecting the dragon’s arms to fall off anytime!
But as the seconds ticked by, and the Northern Dragon’s attacks raged on unabated, Elliot began to realize that something was terribly wrong.
“The dragon is regenerating its limbs!” He finally realized in astonishment. “And at a rate that outpaces the damage I could deal with my destructive parries!”
His public mindspace erupted in a series of curses soon after as they all realized the same thing.
“What the hell? This damned bird just regrew her entire wing which I just sheared off!” Red shouted indignantly.
“We need more firepower. Much, much more!” Rom growled.
“Either that, or a spell which could completely disable it.” Aldera suggested.
“Focus on staying alive first. The rest of you, join in the battle!” Wu Kong commanded.
Immediately, Elliot’s summoned and tamed beasts who were on standby charged towards their assigned targets.
The fact that even Wu Kong and his ancestral grade item set which could even resist Aunt Hillary’s attacks for a moment was finding great difficulty in dealing permanent damage to the Golems simply showed just how resilient the Golems were!
“So being on the defensive won’t work against such a powerful enemy huh. As expected of a Hegemon level enemy which focuses on armor and tankiness. Very well. Offensive it is then!” Elliot thought.
He blinked a short distance away to buy himself a little bit of time to weave his Bronze Cosmic Dragon Energy.
“Movement Twenty Four! Eat this!” Elliot shouted and unleashed a massive fifty meter tall fire blast at near point blank range on the Northern Dragon which had already closed the distance!
WHAM!!
Elliot’s fire blast collided with the Northern Dragon and for a long second, it looked like as though the dragon would resist the attack!
However, the Bronze Fire proved to be way too aggressive for it, and the fire blast burned its way into the dragon’s body and created a humongous hole in it before fading away.
Elliot didn’t dare to rest on his laurels after that successful attack and immediately launched another one which was even bigger than before!
WHAMM!!
A sixty meter tall fire blast smashed into the Northern Dragon’s body once more!
And it was a good thing he did so.
In the split second that it took for Elliot’s second attack to hit the Northern Dragon again, it actually managed to regenerate a third of the damage that the first fire blast had caused!
“What an incredible rate of regeneration!” Elliot was completely stunned. “No wonder even Wu Kong is having trouble killing it off! Are all Hegemons this strong??”
Elliot didn’t dare to hold back his power and sent blast after blast of full power Bronze Fire smashing into the Northern Dragon.
At first, the Northern Dragon was still furiously regenerating itself.
Claws, wings and various body parts formed, melted away, reformed and melted away again and again at high speed.
But after each attack, less and less of the Northern Dragon was able to reform until finally, after the seventh massive fireblast, it stopped regenerating altogether.
[Dragon Golem killed.]
The notification rang out to confirm what Elliot had worked so hard to achieve.
Although only a very short time had passed since the battle was first joined with the Northern Dragon, Elliot had unleashed so many full powered attack that a huge chunk of his Cosmic Dragon Energy was used up.
“At this rate, I wouldn’t be able to kill all four Hegemon level beasts.” Elliot thought to himself grimly.
“Aiyeeeeeee!! Help! Helppp!!!” Red screamed loudly.
Ellioy whirled his head around and sighed deeply.
The Southern Phoenix had caught his transport/fighter with its mouth and was violently shaking its head up and down to break it apart!
“I’m coming to save you!” Jessica shouted loudly. A magnificent silhouette of a black phoenix had bloomed behind her and she was charging straight at the Southern Phoenix with her pure black sword of flames raised up high in an overhead grip.
Jennifer had managed to position herself on the opposite side of the phoenix and she was preparing a massive golden spike to throw at it. Small but numerous attack had proved to be highly ineffective and she wanted to try to see if the reverse was true as well.
The three siblings had caught the Southern Phoenix in a powerful three-way attack!
WHAM! BAM! SLAM!
All three attacks landed on the Southern Phoenix almost at the same time and ripped three massive chunks out of the Phoenix’s body.
Elliot’s attack had even successfully severed its thin neck completely and allowed Red to escape!
“Holy smokes! Oh my tainted pants! Oh my fainted saints! Oh my jacksnot on a stick! That was the scarie-“
“Keep attacking!” Elliot roared and released another powerful fireblast at the rapidly regenerating body of the Phoenix!
“Right! Right! I’m on it! Here comes my revenge! Ha! Now that you don’t have a head, let’s see how you plan to eat me again!” Red shouted and started to attack the phoenix’s body as well.
With the Southern Phoenix temporarily rendered completely helpless due to its heavily damaged body, Elliot, his two sisters and his beasts grabbed hold of the opportunity tightly and unleashed a nonstop barrage of all their most powerful attacks!
Until finally…
[Phoenix Golem killed.]
“Ha! Haaa!! Can’t get it up anymore now, huh? You stupid bird? Look at you all limp and flaccid! You’re so weak! You’re the weakest bird in all of creation!” Red shouted triumphantly and somewhat inappropriately, much to Elliot’s chagrin.
Thankfully his sisters didn’t understand the alternate meaning to Red’s words!
If not he would definitely cook that stupid bird alive!
