Elliot smiled at her and his impression of her rose rather substantially. It went from a chilling negative to that bordering on neutral.
Even though she was part of the group of aliens which turned his entire world upside down, she wasn’t personally responsible. So the collective blame that Elliot placed on the aliens that she was a part of was dispelled quite considerably by her act of personal kindness.
“Of course, Jules, if I may call you that.” Elliot said.
“Sure, you can call me that. Even though I am much older than you, we are all similarly at the King level. So I guess that’s okay.” Jul’Taras said. And upon seeing Elliot’s curious look, she smiled and added. “And no, you may not ask about my age.”
“Hahaha! Alright then. So how do I receive this boon of yours?” Elliot asked.
Jul’Taras merely smiled at Elliot and then went on to hold Wu Kong’s hand, much to the Monkey King’s surprise.
“Very simple. Team up with Jessica, and defeat Wu Kong and me.” Jul’Taras said with a hint of excitement shining in her eyes.
Elliot looked at Jul’Taras and Monkey King (I will revert to calling him Monkey King for the next few chapters to avoid confusion with Elliot’s Lightning Apostle Wu Kong) in slight surprise before smiling at them confidently.
“Jess? Are you ready?” Elliot asked her.
“READY? I WAS BORN READY FOR THIS MOMENT! WAHAHA!” Jessica shouted the corniest line available for that moment out loud. “Just wait, you two lovebirds! I will blind you with the brightness of my awesomeness! I will show you the true meaning of a warrior! Let’s do this!”
Monkey King and Jul’Taras could only wince lightly at her words.
The battle hadn’t even begun, and Jessica Sands had already struck them with her cringe-worthy words!
“Errr. Okay I shall officiate. Two versus two, get to your positions!” Aunty Hillary said rather excitedly.
All four of them immediately prepared themselves for a friendly but still absolutely exciting fight. To accommodate the two beast masters and their huge number of beasts, the two parties stood almost a kilometer apart.
For Jessica and Jul’Taras, it wouldn’t be their first fight. But it would definitely be their first while partnering with the guys that they liked!
“Fight!” Aunty Hillary cried out.
Elliot didn’t hold back and immediately summoned everyone.
“ALL OF YOU! COME OUT!!!” Elliot roared.
His Darklight Summons leapt out of the Realm Portal once more while his Tamed Beasts stepped out of their own personal, but much smaller Realm Portals.
Each of his Apostles had their own Realm Portals too, and they were all as huge as the first one.
As soon as his beasts appeared, the near suffocating aura radiated out of the portals and applied tremendous pressure on all of them. Not even Jessica was spared.
This time, his Darklight Summons took the vanguard and charged ahead with great speed.
GRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
Brock was the first of Elliot’s tamed beasts to step out, and he did so with his secret skill fully unleashed. His powerful ten-meter frame rippled with muscles and he immediately charged forward fearlessly.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Huge clouts of sand exploded everywhere with his every step.
Behind him, Ellie, Winter, Rex, a huge bunch of moles and birds appeared as well and immediately contributed to the huge mess that Brock was making as they charged across the sand towards Monkey King and Jul’Taras.
In the air, Red, Frosty, Rom and Aldera appeared with their respective lieutenants and surged forward in a mighty air as well.
Wu Kong hung back with his own Behemoth Lightning Apes to act as a reserve force and study the situation.
“Hahaha! Truly worthy of a Frosthaven Beast Master!” Monkey King laughed out loud in approval at the more than impressive showing by Elliot’s beasts. “To think that you’ve progressed this far and have amassed such a powerful bunch of beasts in less than a month! Impressive! Very impressive indeed! But if you think that this paltry force is enough to deal with me, then you’re far, far too naive! Come out, Bulltakor, Fire Apostle!”
At his words, a single huge fire tornado began to swirl in front of Monkey King!
G H R O A A A A A A R R R R R R R R R R R ! ! ! ! ! !
A truly thunderous roar sounded from within the fire tornado which instantly dispelled the aura that was radiated by all of Elliot’s beasts!
A colossal figure stepped out of the fire tornado.
Two huge horns protruded from a fearsome giant bull head which was connected to an utterly massive fifteen meter muscular humanoid frame covered with intensely burning flames.
As though Monkey King’s Fire Apostle’s great size and searing hot flames weren’t enough, it carried a huge fifteen meter long flaming broadsword which was emitting a horrific aura as well!
GHRROAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!
It hefted its ridiculous flaming broadsword and swung it in a wide arc!
A massive wall of flames surged out from his sword and swept powerfully across towards Elliot’s beasts.
However, before the flames could engulf the Darklight Summons, Frosty had fired off a freakishly huge Venomous Glacial Beam which collided with the wall of fire in a loud HISS!!
Great billows of poisonous green smoke were produced by the intense reaction between the Venomous Glacial Beam and the searing hot wall of fire.
All of Elliot’s beasts stopped in their tracks before they got poisoned by Frosty’s powerful attack.
After a few seconds, after the poisonous smoke was quickly blown away by Red’s prompt use of Blade Tornado, the result of Frosty’s and Monkey King’s Fire Apostle’s first clash was finally out.
The sand around the Fire Apostle had turned to glass while those on Frosty’s side were slick with sleet. Right in the middle was a huge gap of nothing as the collision between ice and fire had completely caused all of the sand to be flung away in all directions.
It was a draw!!
Elliot’s Ice Apostle and Monkey King’s Fire Apostle were equally matched!
