Never in the history of the Golden Dragon Clan had one of theirs been so ineffective in battle, and worse, in a battle that was supposed to be the dragon saving the damsel in distress!
“Oh my god. Did I just kill him?” Jessica Sands gasped as she blinked to the Golden Dragon motionless body.
She quickly inspected his body with her senses and sighed deeply in relief when she found that he was okay. His mind was in a mess, but it was nothing that modern medication and potions couldn’t deal with.
“Thank goodness! I’d hate to kill someone who was merely trying to help me.” She muttered as she blinked away once more towards the demon warriors. “But at least I stopped him from transforming and destroying the Aural armors! It would be disastrous if he turned into a full-sized dragon and ate all of the Aural armors!”
In pure greedy mode, Jessica didn’t even consider the demon warriors as real enemies, but as walking sets of Aural armors!
Jessica appeared behind an unsuspecting demon warrior who was still facing the direction that she was standing at before.
Quietly, she weaved and quick-released a small Eternal Silence spell on her, and then blinked away even before her victim even realized that she had been marked by death.
Just like that, Jessica Sands massacred the demon warriors with chilling efficiency and ruthlessness.
On the other side of the room, Jul’Taras was a near-invisible blur of death as she danced around three demon warriors at high speed, slashing and cutting at their necks.
The remaining fourteen demon warriors had split into two groups. One formed a circle around them, waiting for an opportunity to sneak in an attack using their aural blades. The moment Jul’Taras stopped moving, she would instantly drown under a flood of powerful sonic attacks.
The other seven had gone to reinforce their comrades who were dying to Jessica’s ruthless spells.
“Good strategy.” Jul’Taras commended them in her mind. “Would have worked marvelously against a powerful King level warrior. Even Hasaro would find it hard to defend against this formation. But too bad, I am the perfect counter to this set up. If speed is king, then I am an Empress!”
Jul’Taras drew even more Runes even as she was attacking the three demon warriors and activated them as soon as she was done.
Stability. Balance. Speed. Acceleration. Accuracy.
The runes glowed red, green, blue and various other striking colours and took effect immediately, bringing her speed and power to a whole new level!
“The effect of the runes have all gone up in strength after my last level up. With this, I might just be strong enough to use that secret sword art… Let’s try it!” Jul’Taras thought and began to execute a series of graceful yet deadly moves.
A suffocatingly cold energy descended in the area around her and completely engulfed the ten demon warriors. Their movements slowed to a crawl as Jul’Taras’ tyrannical aura pressed down upon them like mountains.
Her sword strikes became extremely incisive and were filled with incredibly violent ice energy which created a potent combination of penetrative and explosive force. It was a unique attack that the Universe had never seen before.

Ti-ti-ti-t-t-t-ting! BOOOMMM!!!
The beautiful Aural armor on the demon warriors had no chance.
After glowing and shimmering brightly in protest, the Aural armor on all three necks finally blinked out of existence, unable to withstand the force of Jul’Taras’ attacks which had finally crept past the King level and into the Emperor level.
Slash! Slash! Slash!
Three demon warrior heads separated from their bodies violently as their necks were erased from existence. All three heads flew off towards the far end of the room in a grisly display of blood and gore.
“Three down. Seven to go.” Jul’Taras said aloud as she dashed towards the other seven demon warriors.
WEEEEEE!! WEEEEEEEE!!
The demon warriors opened fire at Jul’Taras! Condensed soundwaves shot out from their Aural blades. However, dodging them was as easy as breathing for Jul’Taras.
With her momentum bringing her attacks past the Emperor level, Jul’Taras swept through the remaining demon warriors like a dazzling goddess of death.
One demon warrior head after the other flew off in multiple directions, splashing blood all over the entire room.
Of course, as a self-proclaimed Speed Empress, not a single drop of blood touched her.
“HEY JULES! Why are you separating the headpiece from the body?! Repairing them would be expensive you know!” The epicly stingy powerhouse called Jessica Sands shouted from across the room where she was space-locking a particularly feisty demon warrior.
“If you didn’t notice, the headpieces had HEADS in them! How else am I supposed to kill them?” Jul’Taras demanded her best friend as she sent yet another head still spurting out blood flying away.
“Disable them or something! Aren’t you a mage? You should have a gazillion disabling spells at your disposal!” Jessica shouted as she furiously drew one final rune for the remaining demon warrior who was already half frozen.
“They have high-grade anti-magic shields! My King level spells can’t pierce through such shields! Not everyone is a genius like you, you know!” Jul’Taras snapped at Jessica irritably.
“Ohhhh. Yeah, that’s right. I was only able to break past their high-grade anti-magic shields when I used my modified Void Prison spell. You don’t have anything more powerful than standard King level spells, Jules?” Jessica asked her loudly.
“NO! I DON’T!” Jul’Taras replied, half exasperated by her best friend’s insensitivity.
She was an Elder Mage of the Elven Mage Guild, and she was considered extremely powerful. And apparently when compared to Jessica, she might as well be a little babe in the woods. She knew that now… But Jessica didn’t have to rub it in!!
“I really need to teach you some new spells, Jules, especially my modified ones. I have a few really powerful runes where I combined several advanced spells into one! Don’t worry, you’ll be strong in no time. I can’t have you wandering around the universe when you’re this weak! I’ll be really worried! Hee hee!” Jessica was so powerful and she killed her enemies with such ease that she still had the mood and energy to tease Jul’Taras!
