Chapter 83 - The Luck of New Humans

New Humanity was lucky.

Yes, it was as if they had the "Blessing of the Goddess;" a string of good luck continually trailed them.

The first blessing was that the "Planetary Federation" had already collapsed.

Why did they collapse?

They collapsed from the science and technology I had gifted them in lieu of compensation.

I wished for the development of their civilization and carefully selected technologies that they could use.

But I was naive.

They could not withstand the "power" I gave them.

Instead of properly utilizing the technology, they let it consume them, and in the end, they broke.

After the Planetary Federation broke, the universe was plunged into a massive Intersolar war, ultimately destroying countless inhabited planets.

The few remaining planets became uninhabitable due to contamination, and within a few years, all life ceased.

As a result, the Planetary Federation disappeared, leaving only a few "relics" throughout the universe.

The second blessing was the appearance of a new species on Earth.

The basis for all technology used by intelligent life in this era is "magic."

Almost all solar systems, including Earth's, developed magical technology.

I wondered about this fact and decided to do some research.

First, I obtained the bodies of deceased New Humans and dissected them.

Second, I also dissected the bodies of intelligent beings killed by Earth's military.

I continued to do such things for several years.

As a result, the interior of the artificial island was filled, albeit temporarily, with the corpses of various types of intelligent life, and my body was constantly covered with the thick, fishy smell of blood.

Oh… I still remember… the hardships of the past… and the joy of the past…

If I had wanted to, I could have let the robots do all the dissection, but I wanted to touch them with my own hands.

That is why I went to the trouble of reproducing surgical instruments designed long ago.

When I carefully arranged the cold corpses of the New Sentients on such surgical instruments, I was so moved that tears began to stream down my face.

This was the first time I was able to touch New Sentients directly…

I gently stroked a cold body, although it had already begun rotting…

I felt the cold skin through my fingertips, over and over again…

We then began dissecting the body with the help of surgical equipment, but many problems arose.

Dissecting a New Human was relatively easy but dissecting an intelligent alien very difficult.

Sometimes we dissected what we thought was the abdomen, only to find a huge brain.

I once dissected a body that I thought had three legs, only to find that one of the legs was a kind of gigantic sex organ, causing a large amount of semen to gush out, covering me from head to toe in a foul-smelling white fluid.

Sometimes, when I dissected what I thought was the corpse of a single large intelligent life form, it turned out to be a mass of smaller intelligent life forms, and small, ragged bodies were scattered all over the place.

…Come to think of it… my house, soiled by dissection, required all the maid robots on the island to clean it…

It started out as something I was only half-interested in, but it turned into a big mess towards the end…

There were many troubles, but in retrospect, they are all pleasant memories.

In fact, even the maid robots were happy to have a rewarding job after a long time.

Well… the sight of those maid robots covered in fishy bodily fluids happily cleaning the guts scattered on the walls, floors, and ceilings was a bizarre sight to behold…

As a result of such efforts, I succeeded in finding out what "magic" really is.

As for the true nature of magic… it was a "nanomachine" created by the old human race.

After the Era of the Dusk, Old Humanity scattered throughout the universe.

They settled on uninhabited planets and became the soil of that planet.

At that time, the nanites in the bodies of the old humans scattered across those planets.

The dispersed nanites infiltrated the DNA of the organisms that originally existed on the planet, forcing them to evolve into a variety of different creatures.

In the process, the nanites malfunctioned, leading most to encourage the development of magical organs.

Thus, "magical technology" became common in this era.

Having understood that much, I alone was convinced.

If magic is based on science and technology, it was natural for science and technology to easily create magical organs.

The reason why magic technology was unstable compared to science technology was because magic itself was a technology created as from errors in Old Human nanites…

In such an era, New Humanity possessed advanced magical technology.

Of course, the reason is simple.

If magic comes from nanomachines, there is no reason why New Humanity's magic, produced by the most cutting-edge nanites, would be inferior in any way.

The nanomachines that exist in the bodies of New Humanity were Old Humanity's latest models, to which they continued to improve upon till the end of their lives.

Furthermore, more Old Humans gathered on Earth than any other planet.

As a result, the quantity and quality of nanomachines in the bodies of newcomers are far superior to those on other planets.

This is the reason New Humanity obtained absolute power and are slowly, but surely, becoming the rulers of the universe.

The Earthen Army expelled the armies of other stars, continuing to expand their sphere of influence in the universe as if it were their own.

The stars that have been overrun by the Earthen Army had no choice but to live under various restrictions.

The ruled are deprived of precious resources, freedom, and basic rights, all of which are controlled by the Earth.

…So, in such an era, is New Humanity living happy lives?

Are they living confident lives as overwhelmingly powerful and strong people?

Unfortunately, no.

The New Humans are creating walls between each other.

And they are tormented by those walls.

Economic barriers, color barriers, religious barriers, gender barriers…

They are experiencing the same sufferings as the Old Humans…
