Chapter 558 Negotiation; change of status
"Do you want anything else?"
Hearing this question, Legolas' brain geared into overdrive.
This was the President of Nak State asking him for anything else that he wanted. In his current level of operation and influence, he could not meet an individual of higher esteem and power to receive this favor from.
This was the goal that he had been working towards so hard.
This was his dream of 50 years.
His goals chart briefly floated before his head again.
'Accurately predict the plans and events of the Beast Coalition in Nak State, planning towards intercepting them'. He marked this as complete in his mind.
'Stop the disaster of Planet Kronic Beam Ring'. He also marked this as complete in his mind.
'Establish self as an indispensable part of the Beast Coalition resistance'. Just a few seconds ago, this became completed and it opened the door to fulfilling every single one of his other goals in his goals chart.
'Get resources'. He marked this as pending.
'Create a complete Calamity Path'. He marked this as pending.
'Get more access to players and fatten them through the missions of the Beast Coalition'. He marked this as pending.
'Get connections inside the Beast Coalition'. He marked this as pending.
'Level up and become a Calamity Grade Super'. He also marked this as pending then he focused on the most important ones of the pending goals.
His eyes gleamed as he focused on President Dunk again. This President became curious, seeing the look in his eyes.
Legolas took a deep breath to organize his thoughts and his plan.
"The Beast Coalition is an organization that has been developing for centuries, they have a lot of deep foundations and connections".
President Dunk's eyes narrowed as he read in between the lines.
"They are extremely powerful but…" He looked at President Dunk before sweeping a glance across all the Admirals. "Nak State is also powerful".
"And since you already allied with the Ackermanns, the resistance is far stronger which is why I believe that you don't want to be passive forever".
President Dunk's eyes rose in surprise, he waited for him to continue.
"I can help the Nak State and Ackermann State not to just predict and resist the attacks of the Beast Coalition, but to also launch an offensive against them".
"The Beast Coalition's greatest trait is their elusiveness".
"With my prophecies, I can fish them out of their hiding".
"But for my powers to work at their best especially when finding them, I also need to be present in the battlefield".
A lot of eyebrows rose in this gathering.
"This is why it is good if I become a Grade B+ Summoner, best if I can become a Calamity Grade before leading the Nak Navy to assault the Beast Coalition".
President Dunk's eyes shone. "What do you want in return?"
"Resources, books, knowledge, and guidance from Calamity Grade Summoners on how to pass the last hurdle and create my perfect Calamity Path".
"Afterall, to win, you need me at my best".

It was Admiral Gwen, again.
She glared at Legolas with anger.
"How dare you demand for that?!"
"That is the treatment of a Champion!"
"First, you are not a Nak".
"Second, you are not a Nak Champion".
"No way on hell do you expect to receive such treatment!" She roared.
"The knowledge of the Nak State are heirloom inheritances that we received from the hardwork of our ancestors, and it is our obligation to keep them sacred and only use them to nurture even more powerful Nak Champions".
This time, Legolas completely ignored this Admiral.
His gaze was only on President Dunk who was now deep in thought.
When the President finally focused on him again, his face became solemn. "The punishment for the betrayal of a Champion is death".
"The punishment for lying to me right now is death".
"There's no official rule like that, I just made it up". His face remained serious as he only stared at Legolas.
"Do you have the ability to help us defeat the Beast Coalition?"
"To find their hideout and give you detailed information about them, that I can, but I cannot guarantee that you will win against them".
"That's all I need". President Dunk nodded. "What's your name again?"
"Legolas Baron".
President Dunk nodded. "Welcome to the Nak Navy".
"Thank you, Mr. President".
It was settled, just like that.

A day later…
A broadcast started all across the territories of Nak State. President Dunk and most of the Admirals were present and kneeling before the President was a young man as using a scepter, the President started.
"Today, you have been recognized for your heroic deeds in the resistance against the terrorist activities of the Beast Coalition".
"For your contributions, you have been rewarded with the Nak honorary title, you are now on the same level as some of the best of Nak State".
"Your mercenary group is now upgraded".
"You are no mercenary no more; you are now the Army Commander of the 3rd outpost army of the Nak Army".
"Today, I announce the Nightmare Army to the world".
Amid explosive cheers, everything was finalized. Over the years, Christensen, Blade, Uranus, Sonia and the others have seen him do some amazing and pretty ridiculous things but today, they were still stunned again.
Legolas struck with incredibility when they least expected it.
Amid the cheers, his game interface lit up.

Since the day of his reincarnation, he had been looking for this opportunity.
The knowledge in-here won't help him much since he already learned so much from Maximus and the seer, but Legolas believed that in the library of a Star System level civilization, he could learn a lot about the current world.
He felt that he needed it.
Even more importantly, he could now get access to the relevant knowledge that he needed to massively accelerate his creation of his Calamity Path.
The Council were still angry with him but he no longer gave a damn.
'With the game interface, I can theoretically learn every single knowledge held in the books in this National library within just a year'.
This was despite the absolutely gigantic size of this library.

After everything as Legolas locked himself up inside the National library of Nak State, a certain Admiral with white beard and white hair, Admiral Nathan who was also part of the gathering a day ago rose from Planet Nak.
He flew out of this planet into space before simply flying far away aimlessly.
Unknown to the naked eye, this old man kept on deploying detection magic arrays to confirm that he was not being watched nor followed.
After what felt like an indeterminate time, he stopped.
Raising his right hand, he drew magic circles in the air then he spoke a word.
"Duhkha". He whispered.
