Legolas and his mercenary group's role in all this were to aid the Nak fleet. Help them, fight with them, and make sure that they don't capitulate too fast.
So long they were not fighting directly against a Calamity Grade, Legolas and his companions were more than capable of taking care of this.

His new cutting-edge armor, the Hex was created by Ella 2 decades ago. Apart from amplifying his power, it's greatest benefit and ability was increasing how fast he recovered his vitality.
Combined with his Supreme Talents, this pushed his power to a ridiculous high that helped him build his current notorious reputation.
He was a Summoner but he was most notorious for his ridiculous health points and his tank battle style that frustrated the strongest of Grade B villains.
As for the Obsidian Spear, it was a pitch-black spear of artistic style.

Then, a humungous spatial tear appeared in space.
Pitch-black and silvery spatial energy moved chaotically in this tear.
Then, Planet Kronic Beam Ring felt a pull.
