Originally, Christensen's orders were to take it easy, not taking any risks and to only rescue the civilians that were being killed by the pirates.
Due to these restraints, John could not really affect the grand scheme much.
Afterall, he was just a Grade C+ Virtual Mechanic.
This changed though after Legolas' orders override all the commands.
"The civilians have been rescued; our mission is not done".
"Eradicate every Space Pirate, let none leave alive!"
As soon as this order came, John felt like a fish in water.
He could finally do what excited him!
He was not like the others, he didn't get high from the same thing that excited other warriors, the things that excited him were very different.
As soon as Legolas gave the new orders, the approach to everything changed.
John was unleashed!
Cracking his knuckles right there inside the Legolas Baron, John finally showed his crew in the spaceship what he could do in a battlefield.

A single Virtual Mechanic changed the tides of a battle that was supposed to be tight and uphill, he singlehandedly disabled a ton of the enemies.
With his fingers rapidly taping at the virtual screen that was before him, he was able to infiltrate into the virtual servers of all 7 Pirate Light Frigates. Like he expected, they were ragtag and were not too funded and developed.
This was natural of spaceships used by most pirate groups.
Hacking them was a piece of cake.
Hacking into their server, John sabotaged them, fragmenting all their codes and protocols that made this pirate group a unit.
By fragmenting their codes, John effectively cut the 2 Grade B Plecostomus from their underlings. They could no longer efficiently communicate with them, the greatest factor of any pirate group, information was crippled.
Panic instantly set in among the pirates, yet, John was not done.
With his fingers still rapidly tapping away, he wrote an entirely new and complicated code on the spot using a malicious programming language that he created. This was what truly screwed the pirates.
John did not just sabotage them; he now hijacked them.
With his new codes, he became their new Pirate Commander and like every other Commander would do, he gave his pirates commands.
Having simulated the voice of the Grade B Plecostomus, his voice reverberated across the first Pirate Frigate. "We represent the Beast King!"
"We cannot flee like cowards when pushed to the wall!"
"This is a fight for our brothers!"
"When pushed to the wall, we fight and bite back!"
"Turn and let's fight to the glory of the Beast King!"
It was simple words that were filled with a lot of loopholes, but the fanatic pirates did not even think through it, they were all hotblooded.
They became rabid and angry. "For glory!"
"For the Beast King!"
This already escaping Light Frigate turned around and charged straight towards the 4 pursuing bigger warships without a shred of fear.
A few seconds later, 6 of the 7 Light Frigates turned around to fight to the death against their pursuers!
The Nak and Planet Darvis warriors were stunned, the 2 Grade B Plecostomus were even more stunned as their Frigate became the only one that continued escaping but not so fast, John was not done yet.
"Self-Created Virtual Technique: Virtual Infestation!"
"Self-Created Virtual Ability: Virus Cell Replication!"
"Self-Created Virtual Ability: System Shutdown!"
"Self-Created Virtual Ability: Reboot; Chaos!"
John literally used all his mana points just to perform these series of crazy sequences that he created during his days as a crazy space pirate.
He had used this exact combo to help his pirate group win numerous battles against enemy pirates and merchant trade groups in the past, now, as a repented pirate, he now used it solely against other pirates.
BZZZ!
The A.I of the last Frigate was infested by John.
The virus spread fast like the covid, the Plecostomus pirates had no virtual mechanic, they could not stop the spread until it was already too late.
When the Frigate suddenly shut down, they knew that it was over.
When it rebooted, the Frigate became chaos personified.
[New order received: Accelerating right at full-speed!]
[Counter order received: Accelerating left at 150% speed!]
[New order received: Reversing!]
The A.I was broken!
To the shock of everyone watching, this Light Frigate started moving haphazardly in space, going up and down, left and right like a drunk ship.
In essence, this Light Frigate was now trapped in space.
The whole pirate group was sabotaged by a single Virtual Mechanic because they didn't have one in their ranks to counter him, one single Grade C+ Virtual Mechanic crippled their Frigates and trapped them for death.
This was John's masterpiece!
His allies were shocked but they dared not waste the chance that he created; they pounced on the confused pirates like wolves among a pack of sheep.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Sonia became a walking bomb inside this galactic battlefield!
Just to kill all the Space pirates, this warrior and war weapon literally turned herself into a mobile artillery tank. She bombarded every pirate on sight, leaving holes through their bodies as they didn't even know how they died.
When Nagana arrived, he proved his mettle as the Blood Monk.
Across a large part of this battlefield, this unconventional Elementalist felt at home as manipulating the pirates, draining them of their blood and turning it into weapons to fight even more pirates.
Legolas wreaked havoc alongside his beasts.
Champion Onana's mech suit had a field day, every shot met it's mark as hundreds of pirates died to him even as the others also got engaged.
Blade and Uranus wreaked even more havoc with their swords.
It was a battlefield of chaos.
Inside the Legolas Baron, despite feeling drained and weak, watching the effects of what he orchestrated, John spread his hands like a mad man as he embraced the energy of chaos created by his sabotage.
His body shook in excitement. "This is it!"
"This is what I have been looking for, excitement!"
"Hahaha…!"
"This life, I can never get tired of it!"
None of the 7 Frigates survived, floating metal ruins were what was left of them after 20 minutes of this intense galactic battle orchestrated by John.
Legolas held the head of one of the Grade B Plecostomus.
