Planet Austere, inside the chamber that was allocated to the Army Commander…
Core Protector Daemon stood before the Army Commander.
With his back facing him and both his hands behind his back, Legolas broke the news of his decision to him as Daemon felt conflicted.
He knelt on one knee. "Army Commander, please don't leave me behind".
"I am one of the only few people who knew what you did to change the fate of Planet Darvis, you singlehandedly saved us from the jaws of death".
"From that day that you saved me from the Demon, I vowed on my life to follow you till the ends of time".
"Only death can separate me from you". He bowed his head.
"Please let me serve at your side, I will give my life for yours".
"Do not worry about my strength, I will train, I still believe in my potential as a Necromancer, I believe I can become even more powerful than this".
He looked up at Legolas. "Army Commander, please make me the weapon that will be at your side to help eliminate all your enemies".
"I pledge my life to you".
"…" Legolas was silent for a few seconds.
When he finally turned around, the look in his eyes told Daemon the answer, this Necromancer felt sad.
Legolas sighed before he spoke. "Did you tell anyone about the Underworld?"
"No".
"Good, keep it that way, the less people who know the better". Holding Daemon's shoulders, he raised him up. "You really don't know how much importance I hold you with after surviving death together, do you?"
"Among all my companions, you're the only one that I fought death with".
"Together, we fought our way from the jaws of death".
"You're one of the few warriors who I truly trust now".
Legolas sighed. "This is why I want you to stay".
He turned and looked outside through the window. "When I'm gone, I don't know how much Planet Darvis and Planet Austere will change".
"That is why I need an eye here, and that eye is you".
"I will make you the Vice President".
"Watch both planets on my behalf". Legolas suddenly smiled. "Another thing, I want to make you my supervisor in another treasure of mine".
He looked at Daemon. "Planet Titania, the home of the Bug Emperor".
Daemon's eyes widened; he went back on his knees.
Legolas kept his gaze on him. "You're the only one I can trust with this, my adopted son and my students will all be following me into the galactic society".
On his knees, Daemon finally gave his consent. "If this is your will, I will give my very best to do my job and make you satisfied".
"Thanks Daemon, really". Legolas patted him.

Today was another significant day in the history of Planet Darvis.
Post the Cataclysm, a working government was finally about to be reinstated in Planet Darvis and like usual, the Army Commander led the proceedings.
In the already renovated Presidential Villa, tens of thousands of citizens in Planet Darvis were gathered as Legolas took the stage.
After teleporting here, on his suit, he climbed the stage.
"Fellow citizens of Planet Darvis". Legolas' voice was sharp and crisp. "A new era beckons on us, the post-Cataclysm era".
"For the Planet to move forward, there needs to be a change of guard".
"President Shanks was a man who served our planet with integrity. During his reign, the planet developed, we were able to start and complete most of our preparations that let us win the war all due to him".
"Through him, we tasted the importance of a good government".
"After his death, we intend to continue the government whose foundation was built by him". Legolas looked to a corner of the Villa where esteemed guests were seated. "Today, we swear-in his Vice to succeed his government".
"Today, let's welcome our first female President".
Amid excited cheers from the citizens standing below, Lydia climbed the podium with a smile on her face.
After waving at the audience to appreciate their cheers, with a smile constant on her face, she raised her right hand to say the words.
"I, Lydia Jones do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of Planet Darvis, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the laws and Constitution of Planet Darvis".
"I swear to always defend the sovereignty of Planet Darvis".
"I swear to uphold the terms of our alliance with Planet Austere".
"So, help me God".

Silence dominated for a few seconds as the audience below savored the emotion of this moment, they suddenly felt like the skies were brighter.
To some of them, this was an indication of a new era of prosperity already.
They exploded in cheers and applause shortly after.
"President Lydia!"
"President Lydia!"
"President Lydia!" They chanted her name to celebrate the moment.
After the new President finally left the stadium, a familiar face climbed up the stadium next as with a smile, Legolas welcomed him before encouraging him to face the audience and say the words.
Daemon felt a bit anxious, he felt that life was a crazy rollercoaster.
Hearing the cheers as they applauded him, he felt surreal. 'Just a few years ago, I was a villain, Norman's henchman who was hated by so many people'.
'Fast forward a few years now, and I am about to become the Vice President of the planet, life is so random'. He felt emotional.
Raising his right hand, he said the words.
"I, Daemon Dominic, do swear in the name of God and all Supers that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of Planet Darvis as by law established and that I will discharge the duty upon which I am about to enter".
The cheers exploded again, this was a fitting reward for a warrior who gave his all, including his life during the Cataclysm.
When Legolas took the stage again, 3 Supers followed him. "With the change of government, today, I will also oversee the change of High Officials".
"Alongside me and High Official Newton, today, with the power vested on me by the government, I ordain George, Enoch, and Gorgon as the new High Officials of Planet Darvis".
Yes, Newton survived, again. The old man was a survivor.
George, Enoch, and Gorgon also survived after their heroics in the Cataclysm.
Today, they were finally rewarded for their efforts. The cheers from the audience increased a crescendo to welcome their new leaders into power.
Apart from today being the swearing-in ceremony of all these new leaders, today was also the day that the Army Commander officially bid farewell to Planet Darvis, it was an emotional day.
After the swearing-in, as the tens of thousands of citizens watched, the warships of the Nak Navy and the Legolas Baron rose up.
The Legolas Baron was Legolas' gift from the Planet on his journey into space.
Biding his farewell to the citizens of the Planet one last time, Legolas teleported into the Heavy Cruiser where all his crew that he intended to take into space with him were already gathered.
Christensen looked at him once he arrived. "The warship is ready to move".
"Then move". Legolas found a chair to sit on.
As the Heavy Cruiser ascended out of the Planet, he looked at the tens of thousands of citizens waving at him. 'I wonder when I'll ever come back'.
