As soon as Legolas returned from Planet Austere, in his office, this was the first thing that he did as he evaluated his current power.
Apart from his basic stats that separated him from other supers as a Grade B Summoner, the real thing that determined how powerful he was in this grade was the abilities and talents that he had.
He made checking them his priority. 'Compared to when I was just a Shepherd Summoner with few abilities, I have grown a lot since then, it's important that I fully understand my powers before facing any other opponent'.
He had more than 2 passive abilities but at the Grade B realm, it was only the 2 passive abilities from his battle controller sub class that truly mattered.
And like their names suggested, both were related to large-scale wars where he could take his usual role as the leader in battle to massively amplify the strength of his allies, something that he was already pretty good at.
Compared to before, his active abilities were numerous now.
He grinned as he looked at a particular ability. "No matter how much I grow even in the future, the combat master ability will never lose its importance".
"Even when in my final form of amalgamation after fusing with all 4 of my contracted beasts, it is still important to amplify my melee combat ability".
He rubbed his chin. "I think I can categorize my abilities into 4 main categories now to fully understand them".
"The first category is the normal Summoner abilities like the beast contract, beast plane summoning, shepherd of the beast plane, and god of the herd".
"These are all essential abilities of a Summoner but they're not useful in battle". Legolas paid attention to other abilities. "The second category, I will call it the combat category".
"Abilities like the combat master, commander of the herd, summoner energy manipulation, beast integration, beast amalgamation, and even the vocal cord of the Rafous Nightingale all fall under this category".
His eyes gleamed. "These are my real bite as a Summoner".
"They're the most important category of my abilities, they've helped me win all my battles". He crossed his fingers in thought. "If I want to improve my combat ability even more, I need to learn to make the most out of these".
"For a long time, I've gone with just planning on the spot and using the most convenient ability for a situation but that has to stop".
"I doubt future battles will give me the luxury of planning every time".
Through the window in his office, he looked into the sky. "I will be entering galactic space soon. There, randomness no longer makes the cut".
"I need to have a proven and fixed combat style that I can improvise on demand to approach multiple different combat scenarios, it's the only way for me to keep myself and my companions alive".
He paid attention to all the abilities in the combat category. "I need to start research into my combat approach, a combination of these abilities in the right way can massively increase their overall power than the raw power of each individual part".
Instantly, he made this a priority at the back of his mind.
His attention finally went to the next category. "The next category is the detective category, spearheaded by the detective talent that I got from Christensen".
He never paid much attention to it after so long, but the detective talent already became an important part of who he was as a Summoner.
This talent aided him in executing most of his craziest plans in battle that resulted in some of his most famous war victories.
"Abilities like the Scent Tracking and Auditory Tracking both fall into this category, I reckon I'm quite good at making use of them already". He grinned.
"I really need to buy Christensen a drink one of these days, taking him in as my student had paid far more than I ever anticipated".
"The next category is the Spirit Summoner category".
"Abilities like the spirit summoner, spirit conjurer, spirit resurrection, and the spirit coordinates all fall under this category".
He sighed. "I've neglected my Spirit Summoner abilities for a long time already, not again". He stood up. "If I am to enter the galactic society, I need to use every advantage that I have which includes my Spirit Summoner abilities".
"I need to put time into properly building them in the next few days".
"As for the last category of my abilities, I call it my ace, the beast tamer". He grinned again. "Only one ability falls under here, the Grandmaster Beast Tamer".
"It may not be as flashy as any of my other abilities but to me, it is my trump card, it is the greatest weapon in my repertoire".
"I will be building my combat approach around it".
"Having tamed beasts like the Ice Gorilla and Demons like Azrael, adding their power into my arsenal, I think it's safe to say it's lowkey my most OP ability".
"It enables me to fully embrace my main class as a Summoner".
"The Cosmic Summoner ability also partially falls into this category since it improves my beast taming abilities, but it also increases the power of my contracted beasts".
"While trying to understand my abilities, I also need to understand the abilities of my tamed beasts and my contracted beasts".
"Afterall, they're the greatest assets of a Summoner".
Legolas looked at his hand, his skin that had a peculiar shade of bronze to it. "Also, my Supreme Talents have changed me a lot".
"It's a pity that I don't have any Summoner-related supreme talent yet but I can't complain about the ones that I have, both are OP".
"Killing me despite having both of these talents are a testament to how powerful the Bug Emperor truly was".
"With these 2 Supreme Talents, I am a Summoner but a Mr. Olympia variant".
"My defense and health points are more ridiculous than a lot of Pugilists that I have met, combining this with my beasts, I don't think I have any obvious weaknesses as a Summoner".
"I just need to learn how to bring the best out of what I have".
Having made a template about his future growth as a Summoner already, he finally paid attention to a special game interface notification.

Legolas looked at him. "Tell them that I'm coming".
He adjusted his own black suit. 'It's time for a change of guard'.
