"…" Captain Chan stood speechless as he looked at it.
Standing before the formidable war machine, Captain Chan felt intimidated.
Berserker was a bonafide Grade B War Machine.
Though the mechanic suit's A.I didn't go to the extra mile of showing it's configuration to the smallest stat and details, the little that Captain Chan saw already gave him a small idea about the destruction machine that was before him.
During his early years, before being recruited in the Nak Navy and becoming a full-fledged War Mage, he started as an enchanter who enchanted weapons for quick cash.
Berserker was without doubt the greatest mech that he had encountered.
While Captain Chan observed and admired the intimidating war machine, Berserker suddenly made a move as through it's A.I, a virtual projection came out.
The projection was that of a small Racoon on glasses.
This was the virtual representation of Berserker's A.I.
"I am Berserker, nice to meet you Captain".
"I hear you'll be working on my upgrade".
"…" For a few seconds, Captain Chan was caught off-guard.
It took some time before he reacted. "Oh, nice to meet you".
The next moment, he took his time getting to know the Mech suit's A.I. He did this until the door of the workshop opened again as Onana entered.
"Champion". He stood up to welcome him respectfully.
"No need for the pleasantries, this time, you're my work colleague".
Champion Onana found a chair to sit. "So, what do you think?"
"Berserker, Magic Mithril, everything, what do you think?"
"Can you do it?"
Captain Chan turned to look at the Champion. "I have never dealt with a machine this complicated, but…" He clenched his fists. "I don't want to give up on this challenge, I believe I'm competent enough to do it".
"I believe too". Champion Onana smiled.
That set everything in motion.

5 days of intensive preparation and design work later…
"Berserker's new design is completed". Champion Onana said with a satisfied smile on his face as he gazed lovingly at the virtual projection.
Before any physical mech creation process, mechanics first designed their mechs virtually. This way, they could fully test the performance of their virtual mechs before creating it physically to avoid waste of resources.
All the tests were done already, and this new mech was good to go.
Onana looked at the virtual screen again.

These 3 magic abilities were Captain Chan's strongest abilities and trump cards. Originally, he had other abilities in mind but as he worked on the mechanic suit, he became engrossed in the work as it suddenly became a passion project.
Stoked by his passion, he bestowed his 3 strongest magic abilities through the Magic Mithril on Berserker.
The Mechanic Suit clearly appreciated it as its virtual configuration hummed with power. Seeing the upgraded virtual version of his mechanic suit, Champion Onana knew that he already won the jackpot.
He already achieved part of his objective for coming to Planet Titania.
He patted Captain Chan. "Thank you for your help, Chan".
"Onana always pays his debts".
"I will forever remember this favor of yours".
"As for now, let's fabricate the physical version together".
Captain Chan did not hesitate, together, stoked in the passion already, they forgot about sleeping to rest as they got themselves embroiled in the fabrication.
To upgrade Berserker, they had to break his current configuration down completely. It was after the destruction that creation finally started.
It took 2 whole days for the Mechanic and Mage to complete their work.

"…" Captain Chan and Champion Onana did not talk for a long time.
Standing motionless, they simply stared at the work that they created after 2 days of non-stop fabrication. Berserker still more or less looked the same apart from the Magic Mithril that now replaced it's previous armor.
The change was not focused on the physical though, it was inside it.
Focusing his mind, Onana could clearly feel the change of his battle companion. He closed his mind and basked in it as subtle changes happened in his mind, a Mechanic's progression was intricately tied to his machines.
This was the same way a Summoner's progression was tied to his beasts.
With his eyes closed, Onana experienced a feeling of sublimation.
If he had a virtual interface, he would have been notified that he was currently leveling up multiple times from the experience gained from this fabrication run.
He was not the only one who benefited though, Captain Chan also benefited.
With his eyes closed, this Captain felt the aura of his creation.
Basking in Berserker's new aura, his power also grew.
They both felt total contentment.
When Champion Onana finally opened his eyes, they gleamed. "It is time".
