Edgar borrowed Legolas some hunter society points to purchase these elixirs.
On being exposed to these elixirs for the first time, Legolas was amazed. During their journey to the branch of the Hunter Society, Edgar already told him about them but seeing them in reality hit much more different.
Legolas still felt that it was surreal.
'Damn, so I'm really now roaming on a totally different planet!'
It felt unbelievable. 'The gray world is crazy!'
To the hunters of Planet Austere, elixirs were their pills and potions. With their help, hunters became much more effective and efficient in battle against the beasts since most of them were made to help in beast battles.
The focused research of the elixir concocters on maximizing hunter's beast battle potential opened Legolas' eyes to a lot of things.
'This is invaluable information!' He was hyped.
'If I can incorporate some of these theories in making my pills and potions, I believe I can improve my capabilities. I need to take some samples home'. He made up his mind even as he also focused on the mission.
Legolas was the one who set up everything in motion including convincing Edgar to go back, but yet, he still felt amazed at how much changed.
From the chaotic Planet Darvis, he just plunged himself deep inside the confines of a much more chaotic planet that was ravaged by an apocalypse.
For this mission, Edge was the default leader.
As the original hunter that was contracted for this mission, he had a lot of leverage since he was the one who invited all the others. Also, among the 2 Mages in this team of elite hunters, he was the best in the business.
Travelling through the wild in Planet Austere was even more dangerous than Legolas expected. Every few minutes, they encountered powerful monsters.
The only reason why they were not surrounded by beasts yet was because every single one of these elite hunters already developed skills and patterns over the years that allowed them to fool and evade the beasts.
The journey to find the Warpsnare was not a sprint, it was a marathon.
For 2 days, Legolas familiarized with his teammates…
And by now, he already knew them all. The 3 Pugilist brothers, Gon, Gan, and Gog were by far the most hot-blooded. They were like any other Pugilist that Legolas knew, driven and straightforward, they were powerful.
And when together, their battle synergy was crazy. Their incredible synergy was one of the main reasons why Edge went for them when looking for reinforcement, they were worth the effort.
Apart from the Pugilists, surprisingly, the 2 Elementalists were a couple. Apparently, Edge had a certain fetish for going for hunters with certain close connections to each other.
One was a fiery Fire Elementalist, and the other, the wife was a calm cool-headed Water Elementalist, they perfectly complimented each other.
Over the years, this couple already forged a terrible reputation for themselves in the hunter circle due to their efficiency in killing beasts.
All these were classes that Legolas was familiar with, it was the remaining 2 that left Legolas really curious. Since reincarnating into Dominator, apart from John, this was his first time seeing Mechanics and Mages.
Apart from Edge, the Mage was a lady. Esther was a grounded hunter with solid foundations and a fair share of destructive spells, her most glaring trait was her personality though, she had no enthusiasm for battle.
"All men shall die one day".
"Who knows if today will be our turn?"
"Sexy Chocolate, enjoy your life while it lasts, you never know what hand you're going to get dealt next, you never know if this is your last breath".
"By the way, are you still a virgin?"
"…?!"
"You look like one. Friendly advice, don't die a virgin, I'm available if you ever find any epiphany from my words and feel the need to right your wrongs".
"…!" Legolas was left completely speechless.
Well, she was an eccentric one.
Unlike Edge who was a Mage who mostly focused on learning the mysteries of Light Energy, Esther's focus was on mastering the mysteries of ice and wood.
The last of the bunch, the one who attracted Legolas' attention the most was the Battlefield Mechanic.
Seeing this guy gave Legolas a nostalgic recollection of the legendary mechanic class, this hunter fully embodied the glory of this main class. Unlike John the shameless, this guy was a real mechanic super.
Rion had hard facial features with a cut scar running across his face, this man was a calm and calculating middle-aged man.
He was quiet most of the time but Legolas could feel the aura of a slumbering Dragon from him, this was a hunter with a host of battle experience.
He already honed his battle senses and instincts to an incredible state.
Legolas could easily tell that Rion was the strongest hunter in this team.
Despite 2 days already, Rion was never forced to use more than his twin daggers against the beasts that attacked them, he was under no pressure.
While he observed his teammates, they also observed him. Till date, Legolas only called on Akela to help him in battle. Of course, through the powers of the gray world, Akela's Grade C aura was suppressed but he still showed class.
The battle experience and competency of a Grade C Wolf was vastly higher than that of a Grade D Wolf, Akela was a stand-out performer.
Like this, battle after battle, they progressed.
It was on the afternoon of the 3rd day that Edgar gave them a warning. "I detect a psychic imprint greater than all the others in this environment".
"That mind, it's bigger and tougher than that of all the other beasts".
"It's so out of place in this environment".
Through his psychic telepathy, Edgar was able to read the psychic patterns of this beast. From his first sentence, every single one of them already hid as Rion finally did more, this Battlefield Mechanic deployed a machine for the first time.
Hum!
With a slight humming sound, a tiny mechanic beetle floated up.
It's tiny mechanical eyes rapidly scanned the landscape before projecting an image to its owner, Rion's face turned serious. "A gigantic Frog with a battle spear".
He turned to look at the others. "It's the one".
"That's it warriors". Edge took over from there. "We've found our target, now we stalk it, discover it's patterns and habits than formulate a plan to capture it in the evening. For this stalking and observation, I need every single one of you to put in your all".
"This is a Warpsnare we are going up against".
In no time, the stalking started.
Of the 9 hunters in this team, all of them were renowned in the hunter circle with notorious reputations, they were the best in the business. Legolas soon proved that he would not fall behind though as they stalked the gigantic Frog.

In the end, his tracking performance became the stand-out one.
After more than 6 hours of tracking the beast, knowing it's preferences, likes and dislikes while luring it into battle to know it's battle style and overall combat strength, this elite team of hunters finally arrived at the perfect plan.
By this time, it was already night and everywhere was dark.
Edge turned to face his teammates with a serious look on his face. "We're elites, I won't tell you what to do".
"But…, the overall strategy is to ambush and incapacitate it fast".
"Not to kill, but to immobilize it".
"We hit fast and hard".
His eyes gleamed. "Let's move out".
