Activities went on in the Audun tribe territory.

"More protectors, to the wall!"

"Our rangers just noticed signs of a Rattlesnake horde".

"They also spotted 4 Sand Cats circling round our territory".

From a far distance, Legolas and his student watched the things that transpired inside the settlement. Though this was not Legolas's first time seeing a scene like this, this was Christensen's 1st time.

Though he also saw the settlements of the Jabari and Godoka tribes, he was not able to see them at closer-range like now.

Till now, the efforts to build a wall to protect themselves against the Titans if they ever managed to invade this deep was still on.

As they watched, they suddenly heard the loud voice of a commander giving orders to his warriors as they got prepared for battle.

From where they watched, they were able to see the beasts that were rapidly closing in on the tribe territory. From one side came the Rattlesnakes who were trying to hide their numbers and movements through the sand.

As for the Sand Cats, they were not that cautious. They sent 4 of them forward while the others trailed from a distance behind the first 4.

The Sand Cats were easily 500 cats strong.

Christensen suddenly turned to face his master. "Are you thinking what I am thinking?"

"What?"

"Altan said once we arrive, we can go inside the settlement without being harmed. He said we should ask for him in the elder's pyramid counter".

"Since we're here to help him anyways, why not help him now?"

"At least, it would allow us show how competent we are to him and it could probably also improve our trust on each other to complete the mission that was issued by His Excellency the Hermit".

Legolas looked ahead in deep thought. In his opinion, Christensen's reasons for them to help were lackluster and without any real form.

But he was still inclined to help. After all, the good guys didn't need a reason to do good, he wanted to paint himself as the good guy to Altan.

Despite seeing Altan already through the grey world, he did not know this desert man's personality but he still wanted to present himself in the best light before him even if it was just to represent the Hermit properly.

Unlike Sophia, a middle-aged man with a wife and a son was not as easy to fool and was why he wanted to leave a good first impression as much as possible.

"Let's do it!"

"Ok".

"We'll sneak behind the cats and attack them from behind".

"Lead Leo and Predator to support me".

As soon as he gave his student orders, Legolas charged out from behind the sprinting Sand Cats as he aimed with his G-96 Pistols before pulling the trigger.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Blood blossomed like blooming flowers in spring.

The stunned cats were unable to react for the first few seconds as the bullets cut through them like a hot knife through butter, downing over a dozen of them.

The next moment though, they hissed and aggressively turned to face the enemy. Legolas was not afraid and did not back down, everyone of the Sand Cats was a Grade F or Grade E beast, none had achieved the Grade D realm yet.

With the bonuses from his summoner main class and agent sub-class, he was able to protect himself and fight while Christensen took care of the important job.

"Roar!" Predator roared as he pounced on the beasts.

In the desert, Leo's frost powers were massively suppressed, the Frost Wolf did not use its frost powers as it used its natural strength to attack the cats.

"Hiss!!!"

The hissing sounds of the cats attracted the protectors of the Audun tribe as they soon noticed the commotion.

"Helpers!" On seeing the 2 fighting humans, they were surprised.

They were surprised but they were not petrified from the surprise as they rushed out instantly. From the chaos in the cat camp already, they knew that this was the perfect moment to get rid of the Sand Cats. e find him here".

"Altan already left on a mission a day ago, but by the way, what do you know about Titans?"

"Not a lot, but I believe that I can help in returning them back to sleep".

On hearing that Altan left on a mission, Legolas was disappointed a bit. 'That means all my strength display against the Sand Cats and Rattlesnakes was…, sigh'.

Since the tribe head didn't elaborate on the mission, it was his hint that it was confidential so he asked another thing. "Can I meet his family?"

"Yes, of course".

After drinking some more desert wine, Legolas and his student left the elder's pyramid to the part of the settlement where Altan's house was.

On arriving, he saw the small purple-haired boy which he guessed was Altan's son and his wife. For a scenario like this, Altan already told him what to do.

He went closer to where Altan's wife sat, attracting her attention as he greeted with a smile before using his 2 index fingers to form a weird square shape, the recognition sign of the Hermit's gathering.

As soon as Jeldia saw the sign, she stood up before bowing respectfully. "Welcome kind sir, I have been expecting you, please come inside".

After receiving the mission, before leaving, Altan didn't just come to see his son and wife, he also came to leave her with this little mission.

"No need". Legolas shook his head. "Your husband already left more than a day ago, he may be in danger, I need to meet up with him now".

"O-ok". On hearing her husband being mentioned alongside danger, Jeldia stammered a bit in her reply before going inside the house.

She returned with a small rectangle-shaped token.

"This is a blood token locator". She gave it to Legolas.

"It is my husband's. With it, you can track him".

Legolas thanked her and rubbed the little boy's purple hair before giving the token to Christensen.

"Got it". Christensen took the token.

Christensen sniffed the token. "This way".
