Chapter 39: 1st Year Practical Sparring Part 4

Puh!

Peyton quickly pushed his opponent out, not even fully extending his arms before walking out of the circle.

'How the heck did I lose to that animal!' He thought still staring at the barbarian's back.

He couldn't help but grit his teeth before he felt a tap on his back.

"Hey good job on that win." The classmate who tried to seem close to him said.

"Yeah…" Peyton replied as he breathed in and out slowly before turning and staring at Akshar.

Jame was not in a very good mood either; although he had managed to gather a good profit previously, none of them were interested on betting on the last spar, Akshar vs George.

And the reason was simple, and that was because the majority of them believed that, just like in the previous rounds, Akshar would overpower George.

"I swear! You guys are really sleeping on this opportunity to get some good money!" Jame pressed them, trying to get them to even bet a single silver.

"Who the heck is going to bet on George?" One of them asked, shaking their head, confused about if there was someone who was willing to take that kind of risk.

Jame cursed before sitting down and continued counting his profits from the previous fight. "You guys are going to seem like big idiots afterwards…" He whispered.

"Whoo!" George breathed out as he stared right into Akshar's eyes.

Akshar stood there, unmoving, like a boulder.

Although George was hiding it inside, he still remembered how easily Akshar threw him in the toilet, carrying him as if he weighed nothing.

Akshar dashed, in which George quickly mimicked Peyton's move by rolling to the side and then running toward the other side of the circle.

Akshar stood up and cracked his neck before turning to where George was standing, "You… You are a shame to the entire academy… You have no honor as a warrior. You think your win against me was fair? I'll show you what HONOR is."

"I don't really care…" George replied before running to Akshar, ducking and reaching for the legs, and tried to bend and carry him, but the barbarian crossed his hands while waiting for something to happen.

Akshar smiled, "I dont know how you did that to the others, but it wont work on me…" He then sat down, completely breaking the takedown attempt.

George ran back to his corner, still in his wrestling stance.

'Again!' George ran towards Akshar when he wasn't looking and ducked, trying to execute the same takedown.

But, before he could even get to an arm's reach, Akshar extended his arms lightly, pushing George back to the ground. "I told you, when it comes to a fair match, you are nothing."

Peyton shook his head, 'That trick wont work on him, he's too strong.'

George stood up, maintaining his distance from the barbarian.

"What trick do you have?" The barbarian asked.

George stretched his legs before hopping lightly and circling the barbarian.

The students around the circles shook their heads, and if they were allowed to, they would leave from how ridiculous George looked right now.

The barbarian nearly choked on his saliva from laughing too much, "FINE! I will play along!"

He kept spinning while maintaining eye contact with George.

And even though this trick might have worked on Jame, many of the other students doubt that it would work on Akshar.

The levels between the both of them weren't even comparable.

Peyton shook his head, "What are you even doing?" He whispered. His first impression of George was that he was an above-average individual with above-average strength and above-average skill, and that was the only way that he was able to even pass among the top 10 students with luck.

But then, after seeing him fight in the first and second rounds, that very opinion changed; he then looked at George in a very different light. To him at the time, he was an above-average individual with absolutely no strength, but he had the high skill to compensate for it.

But, right now, upon seeing the chicanery that George was presenting to the whole class, he was not sure; maybe his only good quality is luck.

And just like anything, luck runs out quickly.

The instructor, tired of seeing George circling Akshar, started cleaning the place up.

But the students, who were still watching the spar, just wanted to see how Akshar would beat George up.

"What are you DOING?" Akshar kept spinning, wondering when George was going to proceed beyond this.

George then stopped, causing the barbarian to stop spinning as well. He extended his hand, waiting for the barbarian to lock hands with him.

"I know this is a trick, but…" The barbarian walked closer and locked the hands together.

George quickly ducked, and the barbarian quickly protected his legs, knowing that he would target for a takedown.

But as he looked at his legs, George was not there.

"I'm behind you." George whispered behind Akshar's neck before grabbing the barbarian from the back and carrying him.

"What are you DOING?" He shouted once more, trying to shake George off, but quickly Goerge jumped back while still carrying Akshar.

"I will show you kid, what real honor is, Gurt Angle's German Suplex!" He shouted before throwing Akshar back while still holding onto the stomach and crushing his neck onto the ground.

"Ah!!" Akshar screamed before closing his eyes. He had already passed the line.

"What?" Peyton stood up from the floor where he was sitting; he couldn't believe what he had just witnessed.

"I told you!!" Jame shouted before throwing his notebook on the floor, "I told you that you guys could make money!!"

Peyton had to take a minute to process to think of what just happened, "He started circling and then locked hands to trick that he would once again attempt his trick… Did he use those tricks in the first and second round to trick Akshar in this round?"
