Chapter 1989: Chapter 1986: Overbearing

The most valuable thing in the front hall is naturally the cash register, where customers’ payments are stored. The young man was no stranger to debt collection, knowing the ropes well. Upon receiving the order, one of them headed towards the cash register.

The waitress instinctively stood up to protect the register, even though she was scared. The young man sneered sleazily and reached out to push the waitress, deliberately aiming for her chest.

With a swoosh, a shoe flew over from nowhere, its sole landing squarely on the young man’s face with considerable force, sending him staggering back, stars dancing before his eyes.

When he steadied himself, a clear shoe print was etched on his face, looking comically awkward. The staff wanted to laugh but were too embarrassed to do so.

"Who? Who threw the shoe!" The young man covered his face and shouted angrily.

"Me!" a steady voice boomed with an underlying pressure, causing everyone to turn their gaze to the voice’s source, where a group of people was approaching.

The men were handsome, and the women beautiful, naturally, it was Lin Tian and his group. The staff, security, and young debt collectors were all stunned. Of course, the men were more startled by Xiao Manxuan and Zhang Lingyu’s beauty, surpassing any star they’d ever seen.

"Ahem..." Mr. Guo coughed a few times to bring his underlings back to reality.

The young man who had been hit continued to express his anger, glaring fiercely at Lin Tian: "How dare you throw a shoe at me, looking for death!"

Saying this, the young man charged at Lin Tian, aiming to restore his dignity by landing a few punches on Lin Tian’s face. Being publicly hit with a shoe was truly humiliating.

Lin Tian watched the incoming punch, expressionless and without dodging. As it was about to land, the waitress gasped in fright.

With a snap, Lin Tian easily grasped his fist, bending it slightly. The young man cried out in pain, involuntarily dropping to his knees, sweat beading on his face.

The sudden turn of events left the other young men momentarily stunned. However, being seasoned debt collectors, they quickly recovered. The nimble ones shouted, "Hard nut!" as they charged at Lin Tian.

Lin Tian retaliated with a swift kick. The fast ones flew back even faster, knocked off their feet, sliding on the slick tile floor, tumbling out the hall door. They rolled a few times before stopping, unable to stand and only able to moan weakly on the ground.

With consecutive kicks, the three fastest young men were all knocked out of the hall, none able to stand. The scene changed too quickly for anyone to see Lin Tian’s actions; people were flying before anyone comprehended. Everyone was utterly stunned.

The security guards who were supposed to help were so shocked they forgot to step forward. Yao Xiaoting and the waitresses clutched their mouths, eyes wide open, initially shocked, then amazed, and finally filled with boundless admiration. Their eyes sparkled as they looked at Lin Tian.

The slower young men halted in unison and slowly retreated, feeling fortunate for the first time that they were slow to react; otherwise, they would have been the ones lying outside.

Originally, Lin Tian hadn’t intended to make such a fuss, but these people crashed into him at the wrong time. Anxious to find Qiong Gou Jade and interrupted by these people, his anger flared instantly.

"Who... who are you?" Mr. Guo’s eyes held fear, but he tried to suppress it. His voice trembled.

In his years of debt collecting, he’d encountered all kinds of tough guys, but had never seen such terrifying combat prowess, where hitting a person seemed as easy as swatting a fly.

Moreover, those eyes were terrifying, not seeing them as prey, but more like food, ready to be devoured at any moment.

"I’m the new owner of the manor, Lin Tian," Lin Tian said coldly, tossing a contract onto the counter.

Wow...

A wave of commotion erupted, with exclamations echoing around.

"He’s the new owner, so young."

"Yeah, young and handsome."

"And so formidable, that was really cool earlier, one kick for each..."

The waitresses were the most talkative, each blushing with excitement.

Mr. Guo wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, cautiously saying, "Boss Lin, let’s talk things over. Let’s discuss the debt, yes, talk things over; resorting to violence is uncivilized, and we’re civilized people; how could we do such a thing."

He wiped his sweat again after speaking, having just threatened to move something valuable every day, and now becoming a civilized person, contradicting himself entirely, much to his embarrassment.

However, the manor’s employees felt quite satisfied seeing it this way. They’d heard about this group’s violent debt collecting, and now their new boss had turned them into tame sheep, which was quite satisfying to see.

"There’s nothing to discuss between us. Do as you’re told and wait for our notice." Lin Tian asserted strongly.

Mr. Guo’s eyes flashed, but he neither got angry nor dared to express it openly. Instead, he said courteously, "But I heard... the new owner’s financial resources can’t cover the debt."

The manor’s employees looked at each other, uncertain of Lin Tian’s background. If, as Mr. Guo said, this young boss couldn’t pay the debt, the manor would go bankrupt, and they’d all lose their jobs.

Lin Tian chuckled coldly and gestured for Mr. Yu: "Have the manor’s finance come over."

"Boss Lin, the manor’s finance is part of the Ma Family and isn’t at the manor," Mr. Yu cautiously replied, still unclear about the new boss’s temperament.

Lin Tian turned towards the counter and asked the waitress, "Can the machine here transfer funds to the company account?"

The waitress was stunned for a moment, then nervously replied, "Ye...yes, the money swiped here is all transferred to the company account."

Lin Tian took out a bank card and handed it to the waitress, who, seeing the card, paused again. Regularly dealing with bank cards at the counter, she immediately recognized it as a bank’s supreme VIP card.

And one of the conditions to become a supreme VIP customer is having no less than one hundred million in the bank! Lin Tian hadn’t enjoyed supreme VIP services because this card was arranged by Miss, and all his company dividend money was deposited in it.

In terms of value, such a supreme VIP card doesn’t compare to a black card, but Lin Tian didn’t want to be too ostentatious, so he opted not to use a black card. He actually thought ordinary cards were more low-key, but his ordinary bank cards didn’t hold that much money.

"How much to transfer?" the waitress asked cautiously, as everyone nearby perked up their ears.

"Ten million," Lin Tian calmly said.

But those words stirred a tidal wave in the ears of others, thunderously loud, impossible to maintain calm.

"How... how much?" The waitress thought she misheard, asking again with a stumbling tone.

"Ten million," Lin Tian reiterated clearly. Initially, he wanted to transfer more, like a hundred million, but such a large transfer isn’t readily accessible.

So Lin Tian opted to transfer ten million, but even then, such a request required an appointment. The prior bank appointment was because of this reason.
