Chapter 1947: Chapter 1944: Ice Soul Revealed

Lin Tian and Zhang Lingyu moved almost simultaneously, one on each side, supporting Zhang Ruyan, and gently placing her on the ground.

"Sister Ruyan..." Zhang Lingyu called out, looking anxious, while helping to wipe the sweat from her face.

Zhang Ruyan slowly opened her eyes, a smile appearing on her pale face: "I’m fine, just exhausted. You know, to unravel the Thunder Seal, we have to rely solely on mana, there’s no other way."

"Stop talking, take some Spirit-Boosting Pills to recover." Lin Tian advised her not to speak too much, and took out all the Spirit-Boosting Pills he had.

Seeing his stance, Zhang Ruyan gave him a helpless glare: "Take a few? You’re really extravagant. I felt heartache even for one pill earlier, do you think elixirs are beans?"

"In my eyes, they are just beans." Lin Tian said, raising his hand suddenly, pointing beneath Zhang Ruyan’s throat, between her collarbones.

Stimulated at that position, Zhang Ruyan reflexively opened her mouth, and Lin Tian quickly poured two Spirit-Boosting Pills, feeding them into her mouth without hesitation.

"You..." Zhang Ruyan was startled by Lin Tian’s actions, momentarily dazed. By the time she regained her senses, the Spirit-Boosting Pills in her mouth had already begun to dissolve, the medicinal energy permeating her entire body.

By then it was impossible to spit them out, leaving her no choice but to glare at Lin Tian with helplessness: "You really are domineering."

"Lin Tian, thank you." Zhang Lingyu gratefully said.

"No need, I originally intended to feed them all to her, but feared she couldn’t bear it, so I only fed two for now." Lin Tian replied casually, not concerned about his use of the elixirs.

In the Ancient Martial World and Demon Exorcism World, everyone regarded elixirs as treasures, but Lin Tian truly lacked this sense. If he hadn’t given the top-grade spirit-revitalizing pill to Zhang Lingyu to activate the White Tiger Seal, he would have unhesitatingly let Zhang Ruyan consume it.

Zhang Ruyan sat cross-legged, forming seals at her Lower Elixir Field, commencing breath control, and a few minutes later, her pale face regained its color, her eyes once again vibrant.

Seeing her condition improve, Lin Tian and Zhang Lingyu exchanged glances, both relieved.

"Whew..." Zhang Ruyan gently exhaled, ending her breath control, then stood up: "I have fully recovered. Though consuming two pills seemed extravagant, the effects were remarkable. There is still significant medicinal energy remaining within me, which will greatly aid my future cultivation."

"If they aid cultivation, I might as well give you all the elixirs. Keeping them is wasteful." Lin Tian said, again attempting to distribute the elixirs.

Even Zhang Lingyu rejected the offer: "Others are eager to acquire more elixirs, yet you keep giving them away. Keep the rest for yourself, we can’t take anymore."

Zhang Ruyan also smiled: "The girl is right, if you give us more elixirs, we can only repay you with our bodies."

Lin Tian earnestly said: "Hmm, that proposal sounds very good."

"Propose my head, it’s wishful thinking." Zhang Lingyu teased him coquettishly.

The two women clearly refused, leaving Lin Tian no choice but to keep the elixirs, only wandering thoughts remaining about the body repayment.

"Uh, by the way, why hasn’t the stone door opened?" Lin Tian looked at the "seal" on the ground, then at the stone door, seeing it unmoved despite the seal unraveled.

"Don’t touch the seal, we need to reseal it upon leaving. As for the stone door, although the seal has been unraveled, it still requires force to open." Zhang Ruyan explained, pointing to two small indentations on the stone door: "Grip here and pull hard."

This kind of rough work naturally fell to the man, so Lin Tian walked to the stone door, gripping into the indentations with both hands, and pulled apart, yet the door remained unmoved.

Understanding Zhang Ruyan’s words, the force required wasn’t ordinary, it demanded enormous strength; nothing in the Spirit Suppressing Tower was simple.

Though not adept at unraveling seals, Lin Tian’s strength was not lacking. He grounded his posture slightly, once again pulling hard, his previously understated muscles on his arms bulging instantly.

Crackling sounds erupted...

Under Lin Tian’s tremendous force, the two stone doors rapidly opened, and as they did, a mist gushed out from behind, carrying bone-chilling cold.

The two ladies, dressed in skirts, were unsettled by the dense cold, despite their profound powers, they both shivered slightly, indicating the cold’s intensity.

Lin Tian immediately thought of the Ice Soul Coffin, considering the Ice Soul Necklace that temporarily balanced Xiao Manxuan’s internal energy, the enormous Ice Soul Coffin contained unimaginable cold energy.

He released his grip and pushed the doors fully open, allowing more mist to pour out. Amidst the dense fog, Lin Tian could vaguely see a high platform, yet its details were obscured by the mist.

"Enter." Zhang Ruyan prompted, leading the way inside, followed by Lin Tian and Zhang Lingyu.

Approaching, Lin Tian finally discerned the platform’s true form—a sacrificial altar. The altar had two layers, the base was a square, the second tier was an octagonal shape, resembling the Eight Diagram.

At the four corners of the base, stood four stone statues, shaped respectively as a dragon, tiger, bird, and turtle-snake pair; obviously representing the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise Divine Beasts.

On the octagonal tier, the Eight Diagrams—Qian, Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, Gen, Dui—were inscribed. In the center stood a small pedestal, upon which a coffin rested!

The coffin, glistening yet neither jade nor ice, emanated deep cold that was bone-chilling even for a zombie’s body, spurred to channel fiery energy to dissipate the chill.

"It truly is the Ice Soul Coffin, how impressive." Lin Tian exclaimed.

"Of course it’s impressive. Combining with the seal, the Ice Soul Coffin has suppressed Jiang Chen’s Body for centuries, crafted by ancient masters." Zhang Ruyan remarked seriously, gazing at the coffin.

"If not for the recent blood moon phenomenon, the Ice Soul Coffin would remain sealed underground." Zhang Lingyu added.

This ancient artifact holding Jiang Chen’s Body demanded their utmost respect despite their usual confidence.

"The Ice Soul Coffin is too conspicuous, impossible to take intact. How to open the coffin lid?" Lin Tian pondered around the altar, finding the coffin seamlessly joined with no apparent opening.

"The ancient seal on the Ice Soul Coffin has been damaged by the blood moon, making opening the coffin easy. The challenge lies in the altar’s barrier linked to the Zhang Family’s grand barrier. Breaking it is improbable, only with the Heavenly Master’s magic artifact can a temporary breach be made." Zhang Lingyu closed her eyes slightly, seeming to sense something, her expression turning solemn.

She raised her hands to her chest, rapidly forming seals, causing a gentle tremor in the air, a purple light shot from her head, within which a Jade Seal hovered.
