Chapter 1939: Chapter 1936: Restriction
Although the Moon Stones can’t compare to the Luminous Pearls, their value is still considerable. Just the Moon Stones alone could be exchanged for countless villas. Such high-end lighting is something that many wealthy people are clamoring for. They’re not afraid of spending money; they’re only afraid of being out of stock.
Zhang Lingyu gave a light smile, "Do you think the Moon Stone is just for illumination?"
The beautiful Heavenly Master then took out a pair of oddly shaped glasses and handed them to Lin Tian for him to wear. Lin Tian was puzzled, but he put them on anyway. Through the tinted lenses, the scene before him changed dramatically.
The space ahead was filled with fine red lines. These red lines emanating from the Moon Stones crisscrossed and intertwined, seemingly chaotic but actually following a certain pattern if you looked closely.
But one thing was certain: the space between the red lines was not enough for a person to pass through.
This scene reminded Lin Tian of the defense system in the Xiao Family’s laboratory, which used infrared alarms. Infrared alarms also frequently appear in movies, where the hero, using their agility and calm mind, passes through the infrared security passages with minimal danger.
In reality, actual infrared alarms are not that simplistic; they wouldn’t leave a passable gap—movies are deceptive, merely an artistic portrayal. Of course, the red lines before them couldn’t be infrared because such an ancient Demon Suppressing Tower couldn’t possibly be equipped with infrared high-tech security systems.
There’s only one possibility: these were created through mystical formations.
"This is only a simple sensing formation without any lethality, but if you touch the red lines, the formation will signal the door behind us to fully seal within a second, trapping us like sitting ducks," Zhang Lingyu warned solemnly.
"Since you’re so calm, you must have a way to get through." Lin Tian didn’t doubt the beautiful Heavenly Master’s words, though she spoke seriously without being heavy-hearted.
"Of course, or why would I bring you here?" Zhang Lingyu rolled her eyes at him, then took out a few items and handed them to Lin Tian.
"Moon Stones?" Lin Tian immediately recognized them as identical to the Stones on the wall.
Zhang Lingyu nodded and explained, "Yes, these are Moon Stones. I’ll demonstrate how to use them. Watch closely. If there’s a mistake, we’ll all be trapped."
After speaking, the beautiful Heavenly Master took out another Moon Stone and walked to the edge of the light net. She extended the Moon Stone in her hand, blocking a beam of red light. The red light was absorbed by the Moon Stone, and the remaining beam disappeared, revealing a narrow gap barely passable for a person.
Zhang Lingyu retrieved the Moon Stone and turned back to Lin Tian, "Understand?"
"I get it. You mean to block the light with the Moon Stones alternately and move forward," Lin Tian nodded but then asked, "But why not use more Moon Stones to make a large shield? Wouldn’t that make passing easier?"
Zhang Lingyu looked speechlessly at Lin Tian, explaining, "Do you think Moon Stones are like roadside stones, available in whatever quantity you want? There’s not much left, and regular Moon Stones can’t absorb this red light; they must be enchanted."
"You think I don’t want things easy? It’s a complex process, and even with enough Moon Stones, there wouldn’t be enough time to enchant them. Let’s just make do. Whether we’ll be trapped here depends on your ability," Zhang Lingyu replied rather irresponsibly.
Of course, she wasn’t truly irresponsible but had confidence in Lin Tian’s abilities. If she thought he wasn’t capable, she wouldn’t have brought him to the Spirit Suppressing Tower for suicide.
"Alright, this is a bit challenging, but I should manage. It’s just that..." Lin Tian pointed at their figures, but didn’t finish his sentence, although his meaning was clear.
He was implying that with their curvy figures and the narrow gaps, safely passing through would be highly challenging.
The two women, both at the goddess level, had equally fantastic figures, requiring more space to pass through the light net, inherently increasing the danger.
Both beauties were incredibly smart, fully understanding his meaning even without hearing the rest. Zhang Ruyan was more relaxed, indifferent, while Zhang Lingyu was initially stunned, then embarrassed and annoyed.
The beautiful Heavenly Master glared at Lin Tian, annoyed and embarrassed, "Mind your own business. Take care of yourself first!"
"Hehe..." Zhang Ruyan chuckled mockingly, "Men are all wolves; don’t let your eyes wander later. Really take care of yourself." She said with a calm and composed look, unlike Zhang Lingyu’s embarrassment and annoyance.
With such straightforward words, Lin Tian would have to be out of his mind not to understand. Well, Zhang Ruyan was just that bold and candid.
"Hmph, I’ll go first!" Unable to withstand their conversation, Zhang Lingyu’s face blushed, and she snorted delicately before turning towards the light net.
The beautiful Heavenly Master held a Moon Stone in each hand, simultaneously blocking two paths of light, and then contorted herself into a high-difficulty pose to step inside.
Though she had described it as simple earlier, once inside the light net, her entire demeanor turned intense; her face expressed her current state quite well.
She alternated blocking the light with both hands, her steps skillfully coordinated, all while ensuring that no other body part touched the light.
Lin Tian suddenly realized that having too good a figure could be troublesome, as Zhang Lingyu demonstrated. Each time she passed through a gap, she narrowly brushed the light.
Lin Tian watched intently, understandably dry-mouthed. After all, her superb figure was enhanced by various poses, showing off perfect curves.
"I’ll go second. Once we’ve moved a distance, you can follow," Zhang Ruyan told Lin Tian nonchalantly, also taking out two Moon Stones and joining Zhang Lingyu in the light net.
Watching the two beauties navigate the light net, Lin Tian swallowed hard, feeling that this adventure was totally worth it.
This wasn’t the time to mess around, Lin Tian thought, taking a deep breath to calm himself.
Once his desire eased a bit, Lin Tian too entered the light net. Compared to the two women, he was more at ease: he didn’t have to worry about curvy shapes, and his super sight allowed him to monitor everything around him in 360 degrees, ensuring he didn’t touch any lines.
The super sight wasn’t a power just anyone possessed, enabling him to observe in full circle and anticipate the gaps between the red lines, truly extraordinary.
After walking across some flat ground, they reached the stairs, also covered in red lines. The two women walked ahead, and Lin Tian followed behind. Initially, nothing was amiss, but when he inadvertently caught sight of their movement ahead, everything changed.
The two women were wearing skirts and climbing stairs. Normally, it wouldn’t be a problem, but they had to keep adjusting their postures as they moved.
Given such a scene, not feeling some spark would be strange. Ruyan, being who she was, understood Lin Tian too well, while Lin Tian was also frustrated, nearly brushing against the red lines.
