Chapter 1932: Chapter 1929: Incomplete

The content of the scroll was written in vertical columns, with four ancient characters "Pharmacist’s Notes" on the far right. The handwriting was bold yet graceful, exuding a strong presence.

What are Pharmacist’s Notes? They are the insights and reflections of a pharmacist, similar in nature to Oda Manaka’s "Pharmacist’s Journal." These are far more valuable than elixirs themselves, and are rarely shared, only passed down to the most trusted disciples.

There is another important reason. Oda Manaka might just be a novice pharmacist, but the help she provided to Lin Tian was significant. And what about the owner of this "Pharmacist’s Notes" scroll?

If Lin Tian guessed correctly, the owner of the notes was the first-generation Heavenly Master of the Zhang Family, a legendary figure on par with Gui Guzi, who created the Nine Revolutions Dragon Tiger Pill.

To refine high-level elixirs is one thing, but creating them is on a different level. A pharmacist capable of creating high-level elixirs is undoubtedly at the pinnacle among pharmacists.

And how precious is the notebook left by such a pharmacist? It can be unequivocally said that its value exceeds that of a top-grade high-level elixir.

Of course, this holds true for pharmacists. For ordinary Demon Exorcists or Ancient Martial Artists, high-level elixirs are more practical, as the "Pharmacist’s Notes" would be incomprehensible to them.

Lin Tian is a pharmacist, so in his eyes, this scroll of "Pharmacist’s Notes" is more valuable than ten top-grade quality high-level elixirs, which is why he is so shocked.

Zhang Guoyao seemed to have expected Lin Tian’s refusal and did not try to persuade him. He simply pointed to the scroll and said indifferently, "Open it completely and then we’ll talk."

With curiosity, Lin Tian spread out the remaining scroll across the table. To his surprise, it was over a meter long, densely packed with text and images.

However, on the far left of the scroll, it wasn’t fully intact; it was broken. Was part of the scroll missing?

"Is this notebook incomplete?" Lin Tian asked with confusion. The two women also looked on with puzzled expressions, evidently seeing this Pharmacist’s Notes for the first time as well.

Zhang Guoyao shook his head regretfully, saying, "For unknown reasons, a section of the notebook was torn off and has been missing for a long time. I’ve been searching for it but haven’t retrieved it."

"Even if the missing section were found, it would likely be unreadable to me. The content recorded by the ancestral master is profound and difficult for our level to understand." Zhang Guoyao then smiled wryly.

Lin Tian examined the torn edge closely. It was uneven, indicating a tear rather than a cut. Most importantly, at the torn edge, he saw three characters: "Nine Revolutions Dragon."

The text stopped abruptly. If Lin Tian hadn’t heard of the Nine Revolutions Dragon Tiger Pill, he wouldn’t have understood, but now he knew its full name was "Nine Revolutions Dragon Tiger Pill."

This means that this "Pharmacist’s Notes" likely contained the elixir recipe for the Nine Revolutions Dragon Tiger Pill! It’s just a pity that the most crucial part has been lost.

Lin Tian roughly browsed the earlier content and found, to his surprise, that it included the elixir recipe for the Purple Spirit Pill.

The Purple Spirit Pill is an intermediate elixir, much better than the Spirit-Boosting Pill. Unfortunately, Lin Tian couldn’t refine it, never imagining that the recipe would be in the "Pharmacist’s Notes."

"The scroll is for you. It will be of greater use in your hands. If it stays with me, it would just remain buried forever," Zhang Guoyao said earnestly, then rolled up the scroll and solemnly handed it to Lin Tian.

With a serious demeanor, Lin Tian accepted the scroll with both hands and said, "Elder Yao, if one day I find the recipe for the Nine Revolutions Dragon Tiger Pill, I will make sure it returns to the Zhang Family."

"Good, good..." Zhang Guoyao patted Lin Tian on the shoulder, very excited: "Good lad, I didn’t misjudge you."

"Well then, you’ve been at it for a while, it’s time you all went to have dinner. This old man won’t meddle in the world of young people." Zhang Guoyao waved his hand to let the three of them out.

Lin Tian bowed and left the study with Zhang Lingyu and the two women, departing from the Immortal Medicine Building. Looking back at the Immortal Medicine Building, though not high, Lin Tian felt as if he were gazing up at a majestic mountain.

A mountain does not need to be high; having an immortal makes it famous. Water does not need to be deep; having a dragon makes it spirited. This is a humble room; only my virtue is fragrant.

He suddenly understood this saying. The Zhang Family, despite having figures like the Great Elder and Zhang Zhicheng, owes its millennia of steadfastness to people like Zhang Guoyao.

"Lin Tian, you really know how to make the elder happy. Elder Yao just gave you the Pharmacist’s Notes," Zhang Ruyan chuckled.

"Perhaps he thinks I am a predestined person," Lin Tian replied calmly, his tone resembling that of the Ksitigarbha.

Having been accustomed to Lin Tian’s carefree demeanor, seeing him suddenly become as serene as an abyss made Zhang Lingyu glance at him quietly, feeling an indescribable aura that was deeply absorbing.

Lin Tian turned his head, accidentally locking eyes with her. There was no embarrassment or avoidance, and both broke into smiles filled with mutual understanding.

He raised an eyebrow, reached into his pocket, and handed a jade bottle to Zhang Lingyu: "This is for you."

Both women recognized the jade bottle, as it contained a top-grade spirit-revitalizing pill. Zhang Lingyu quickly waved her hands, "No, I already have three high-quality pills."

"Take it; use it when the action begins," Lin Tian insinuated, understood by the three of them.

"Isn’t it too extravagant?" Zhang Ruyan naturally knew what Lin Tian meant since this potion was prepared for the action planned for tomorrow night. However, using a top-grade spirit-revitalizing pill, she found it extravagant.

"Sister Ruyan is right; fine quality pills are enough for me," Zhang Lingyu refused again.

Lin Tian, without further ado, pushed it into her hand assertively: "I know the power of a Heavenly Master’s Magic Artifact like the White Tiger Seal. Using it leaves you weak for a long time. I don’t want you to get hurt because of it. Use the top-grade spirit-revitalizing pill, no debate."

Though his tone was firm, Zhang Lingyu didn’t retort as usual. Instead, she squeezed the jade bottle in her hand, her face slightly flushed.

"That’s more like it. Let’s go eat; we’ve been hungry for most of the day." Lin Tian smiled contentedly and headed towards the dining hall.

"The dining hall is already closed at this time. Let Lingyu cook for us," Zhang Ruyan laughed.

Zhang Lingyu did not object but instead said dominantly, "Just to be clear, you’re asking me to cook. Even if it’s not tasty, you’ll have to eat it regardless."

Based on common knowledge, food lovers enjoy eating but don’t usually make food. But Zhang Lingyu’s performance exceeded Lin Tian’s expectations. The beautiful Heavenly Master could indeed handle both the hall and the kitchen.

After enjoying a dinner prepared by Zhang Lingyu herself, Lin Tian returned to his dormitory, satisfied. Night had already fallen by the time he reached the guestroom door and saw a boy of about twelve or thirteen standing there with a bag, seemingly waiting for someone.

Zhang Mingxing? Why is he here so late? Lin Tian wondered, about to call out, but he frowned the next moment.
