Chapter 842: Finding A Cure

"Honey, can I talk to you for a second?"

"What is it?"

As Leyan pulled Xiaoyun aside right before the backyard entrance, everyone else was already back inside the house.

"I know you’re not happy about me keeping a secret. But I’m only doing this for your sake... I’ll reveal it to you when the time is right."

"Is it that obvious?" Xiaoyun questioned back.

"Everyone can see the frown on your face when you come downstairs."

Xiaoyun froze for a second. The more he thought about the secret they were hiding from him, the angrier he became.

"When is the right time?"

"Soon."

"I don’t want to hear soon. Just tell me what happened to Houqin now. I’m more than ready to hear it."

Leyan hesitated for a second, but she eventually folded under pressure as Xiaoyun kept staring dead into her eyes.

"Tomorrow. I’ll bring you to see her. Are you happy now?"

"I’m happy."

As Xiaoyun whistled his way back inside the house, Leyan let out a small sigh before following him inside.

---

"Tianci, there has to be something we can do for him, right?" Shuli questioned as all of them sat on the living room sofa watching the news.

The only person missing was Xiaoyun as the sound of water running from the upstairs bathroom traveled down.

"I don’t know. I had never encountered something like this." Tianci answered as she tightly held onto Ziling in her arms.

"Surely you have some ideas for him to recover... I don’t want a midget husband to be the father of my kid."

Kate’s comment caused a frown to appear on Leyan’s face, but it quickly disappeared as Yuqi came in to defend.

"Maybe we just need to give it some time. I’m sure he’ll eventually come back to normal and get his ability back."

"So we’re just going to sit here and wait?"

"How about you come up with your own idea rather than asking Tianci?" Yuqi argued back as she gently swung Lianrong in her arms.

"Mhm... I don’t know."

Everyone fell into silence as the news anchor’s voice overshadowed the conversation. Their attention shifted a little as a news headline came up.

"For some breaking news. The Saturday government announcement on Administrative Square had been postponed til Sunday.

We had tried to reach out to our correspondent. But they had declined to comment and told us to wait for further announcement.

According to some rumors by insiders, the planned military parade on the same day will also not have the governor’s attendance.

This missing attendance, combined with the delay, has raised a lot of speculation regarding the health of our Governor."

"Yuqi, you didn’t respond to them?" Nami curiously asked.

"What do I tell them? I can’t just say he’s perfectly fine and say he just didn’t want to meet the press he had promised to everyone in the cabinet."

As stress began to appear on Yuqi’s face, everyone could feel the burden that had been put on her shoulders.

"Tell me if you need help, sis. I’m always here for you." Yueyue quietly whispered.

"Thank you."

"Wait, I suddenly have an idea that might just work." Wuli suddenly blurted out in the middle of the news anchor’s section.

"What is it?" Leyan inquired with everyone’s face looking just as intrigued as hers.

"What if... This is all just hypothetical, okay? I’m not even sure if this is actually the thing he needs right now."

"Just say it." Shuli impatiently hurried.

"What if Xiaoyun just needs a little bit of excitement? Like something to get his blood pumping?"

"What?"

Everyone stared back at Wuli in silence. Their eyes seemed as if they were looking at an idiot.

"That’s your idea?"

"Yeah. I mean, isn’t his ability tied to his blood and his bodily fluid? That’s why Tianci likes to drink his stuff, no?"

"Now I think about it, her idea does make sense. Every time he cums inside us, our body feels and looks so much better than before."

As Nami spoke the quiet part out loud, everyone’s face blushed a little before Leyan started looking over to Tianci for confirmation.

"Tianci, does her idea hold any merit?"

"Um... I guess it might work?" Tianci answered with uncertainty as she remained doubtful about Wuli’s idea.

"Better than sitting around and doing nothing," Wuli pointed out loudly.

"This feels like a bad idea." Anna quietly murmured as she suddenly started having a bad feeling inside her heart.

"Yeah? Why don’t you come up with something then?"

Anna fell into silence, unable to argue back. Fortunately, the person who had been silent the whole time finally decided to speak up.

"Isn’t brother Xiaoyun a little too small, though?"

This time, the living room fell into complete silence. Lily’s point was a full wake-up call of how naive Wuli’s idea sounded.

"He is a little on the smaller side now..." Yueyue quietly murmured as she thought back to her height compared to the current Xiaoyun.

"Kinda feels weird now," Nami added, remembering Xiaoyun’s current body was a body back when he was still a middle-schooler.

"Maybe it really was a bad idea."

With Shuli piling in, Wuli finally accepts defeat as she starts to feel disgusted with herself for even coming up with the idea.

"Okay, fine. Maybe it’s a bad idea. But at least I’m trying. Why don’t you all come up with something yourself?"

Everyone couldn’t really argue back with Wuli as they themselves couldn’t come up with anything that could potentially solve their husband’s issue.

"We just need to make him excited. That doesn’t necessarily imply sex, no? What if we help him run a mile?"

Yueyue’s suggestion was met with rejection as they all shook their head. None of them felt it was going to be enough.

"Xiaoyun is literally a stick right now. He’s going to die if he gets on a treadmill. Let alone lift any weights to get his heart pumping." Yuqi argued.

"He’s not that weak..." Yueyue quietly murmured to herself, falling into silence as she didn’t push her idea any further.

"Okay, that’s enough. We’ll just give him time to recover. He’ll probably be back to normal tomorrow morning—"

"What morning are you all talking about?"

As Xiaoyun came downstairs in rolled-up oversized pajamas, Leyan quickly grabbed the remote to turn the TV volume up.

"Oh, just some women’s stuff. You finish showering?"

"Yeah, obviously. You all can take a shower next. I’ll take care of our babies."

---

The outside soon turned pitch-dark as the moon rested in the sky.

Everyone was asleep in their bedroom, except Xiaoyun, whose eyes were wide awake as he sat in his office chair.

On the table was a piece of paper with a detailed account from start to finish of everything he could remember that day.

The day his memory suddenly got cut out.

"Lily told me to go answer Houqin’s distress call... The car that’s already parked in the garage... Who drove it back?"

Several faces flashed inside his head before he pinpointed Leyan and Tianci as the prime suspects.

The two of them clearly knew something that the others didn’t... Or is it?

Doubts once again began growing inside Xiaoyun’s heart. Is he really the only one who had this information hidden from him?

"Wuli just came back home today. There’s no way she knew everything... Maybe she’s the person they haven’t been told to keep it a secret?"

Xiaoyun quickly took out his phone, scrolling down the contract before seeing Wuli’s name on the screen.

Just as he was about to press it, a sudden text notification appeared—a text from an old friend.

Renqin: Boss, sorry for texting in the middle of the night. I might have encountered something that might be interesting to you.

Xiaoyun: What is it?

Renqin: A thing that I brought from a wandering trader. It almost cost my entire retirement account for this.

Xiaoyun’s eyes widened in disbelief for a second. His mind couldn’t really imagine how something could be that expensive.

Xiaoyun: When do you want to meet? Tomorrow morning?

Renqin: That works.

Renqin: My wife is coming, see you later, boss."

Xiaoyun: See ya.

As Xiaoyun closed his phone, his mind still wondered what the object could be that Renqin wanted to show him.

The two haven’t talked for such a long time that it must have been something really important for Renqin to text him in the middle of the night.

"Honey, are you asleep?"

Leyan’s voice suddenly appeared, snapping Xiaoyun back into reality as she started knocking on the door.

"Not yet. Is there something wrong?"

"Can I come in?"

"Wait a second."

Xiaoyun quickly shoved all the paper back into the office cabinet, then walked over to the door as he reached for the doorknob.

Once the door was opened, he froze in place. His eyes blinked twice in a row as he couldn’t believe what was in front of him.
