Chapter 831: Love Hotel

"So where do you want to go?"

Xiaoyun questioned as he looked over to Lily, whose face looked a little nervous sitting in the passenger seat.

"Can we go to a hotel?"

"A hotel? Don’t tell me you’re trying to—"

"Xiaoyun, I don’t want to wait any longer. Please. Everyone I know has done it. I don’t want to be the only one who still hasn’t..."

Lily fell into silence as she ran out of courage to continue, but it had become abundantly clear to him what she wanted to do.

"Are you sure you want to do this in a hotel? Not doing it at home? If you really want it that badly, I can try to convince them."

"I... I just want to have some privacy..."

As her voice trailed off into murmuring, Xiaoyun looked over to the clock for a second before starting up the car engine.

"You know you can’t hide losing your first time from them, right?" Xiaoyun warned as he began driving the car out of the parking lot.

"I know... But I can’t wait any longer."

"Why can’t you wait any longer? Is a year really that long to you?"

Seeing Lily nodding her head, Xiaoyun fell into silence. Deep inside his mind, he had long agreed with Leyan’s decision to put that kind of stuff on hold.

Her body just looked and felt too immature. His heart felt repulsed and guilty even having the thought of breaking her innocence.

It was completely different from being with Nami. There was no evil master plan acting as a facade for a honey trap.

An innocent blank paper. So pure that every inch of his body told him not to taint it until the flower had fully blossomed.

"Brother Xiaoyun?"

"Sorry."

Xiaoyun quickly snapped out of his thought as he pressed the gas pedal, driving past the green light as the car traveled away from the city center.

"Hey Lily... What are you going to tell them after we go home from the hotel trip?" Xiaoyun suddenly asked.

"I... I don’t know."

Lily paused for a second, then spoke up again.

"I guess I’ll do whatever floats your boat. Or do whatever I love to do... Did I use that English idiom correctly?"

"Not sure if it really works in this context. Where did you even learn this English idiom from?"

"Kate taught it to me. She said I had been worrying too much and that I just need to let everything run its course."

"Sounds like something she would say..."

---

As Xiaoyun drove the car for a bit, the two of them finally arrived at an area that had several different hotels that were open for business.

"Which one do you want to go to?"

"Um... How about that one?"

Looking at where Lily pointed, Xiaoyun could see a hotel that had a pretty big sign hanging on the wall with ’Love Hotel’ written on it.

"Okay then... Lily, I just want to tell you something first before we exit this car."

"W-What?" Lily asked, trying to hide her nervousness as Xiaoyun parked the car in front of the hotel.

"You can tell me to stop at any time. We can still stop right now if you want, and we can drive back home as if nothing happened."

"I want to do it."

Seeing the sudden determination on her face, Xiaoyun let out a small sigh inside his head as he unlocked the car door.

"If you say so..."

As the two of them exited the car, the streets were filled with occasional people walking by as they headed towards the hotel.

Within seconds of walking closer and closer to the hotel, Xiaoyun could feel mysterious glares towards him.

The feeling only increased as he opened the glass door for Lily. He quickly turned around for a second, only to find nothing.

"Excuse me, do you guys have a room for two?"

Lily asked as she directly confronted the receptionist with zero fear in her eyes, standing before Xiaoyun at the counter.

"We do... But can I see your two IDs?"

After handing the IDs to the receptionist to check, she handed them back alongside a long menu that had different styles of rooms to choose from.

While Xiaoyun gave the option over to Lily, he could feel the increased stares from the receptionists and the workers who sat in the distance.

"Ahem, is there something on my face?" Xiaoyun curiously asked, not wanting to endure the stares any longer.

"S-Sorry. I just thought you looked a little familiar."

Within seconds, his mind froze. His brain had completely forgotten to change the look on his face or put on a pair of sunglasses.

"Oh yeah, I get that a lot. All my university friends say I look like the Governor... I wish I were as handsome as him."

"Huh, you really do look like the governor."

As Xiaoyun maintained a smile, his heart was racing faster and faster as he watched Lily flip page after page.

"Lily, which one do you like?"

"I don’t know. There are so many choices to pick from... I’ve never been to a hotel like this." Lily answered.

"What do you recommend?" Xiaoyun asked, turning towards the receptionist for help, as he had never been to this kind of hotel either.

"Um... I would say probably A Date with Rose. Pretty romantic with rose-like coloring for somebody’s first time."

"How—I-I think this is good as well."

Lily quickly interrupted herself as her face blushed red, unable to look back at the receptionist, who chuckled a little.

"Okay then. How much is it for a night?" Xiaoyun questioned as he took out his wallet once again.

"100 NRC for a night. But I personally recommend just getting the room for an hour or so for 20 NRC."

"I’ll just pay for the night option."

As Xiaoyun handed over 100 NRC without a blink of an eye, the two of them could feel the receptionist changing her tone.

"No problem. Here’s the key to the room. It’s down the hall inside the 5th room. I can bring you guys down—"

"No need."

Xiaoyun quickly accepted the key, grabbing Lily’s hand as the two of them headed towards where the receptionist had pointed.

---

"This room certainly is something..."

As Xiaoyun sat down on the bed, Lily’s eyes were constantly looking around at all the decorations in the room.

From the vase full of roses to a mysterious-looking bench that went vertically up to the wall to a bathtub a few steps away from the bed.

Everything was separated by thin red fabric, so thin in fact that someone could just see right through it.

"Brother Xiaoyun, have you been inside a love hotel?" Lily curiously asked as she looked at the weird vertical bench in front of her.

"Nope... Hey Lily, you want to take a shower first? Or should we both take a shower together?"

Lily immediately shook her head, answering back without turning around as she continued to stare towards the bench.

"Y-You can take a shower first. I-I’ll wait here."

As she took a seat on the bench, Xiaoyun had already gotten up from the bed and went inside the bathtub with his clothes over on the side.

"How nice of them. They even have shampoo for me to use... Lily, does that bench feel comfortable?"

"Y-Yeah."

"You know you don’t have to face the wall when talking to me, right?"

"O-Of course I know that."

The moment she turned around, Xiaoyun could see her face blushing red, still looking away towards the floor.

"Lily, you should go try out the bed. It’s pretty relaxing to sit on."

Right before his eyes, Lily got up from the bench. Then walked over to the bed like a robot as her legs trembled a little near the end.

"Why does this bed feel so weird?"

Lily questioned, her attention quickly being drawn away to the bed that kept squishing all over the place around her legs.

"Because it’s a water bed. Try to lie down on it. You’ll find it surprisingly relaxing... I used to sleep on one of these on a trip."

"What kind of trip is it?" Lily curiously asked as she slowly leaned her whole body onto the squishy bed.

"A business trip far, far away... You want to hear a little story?" Xiaoyun suddenly questioned back as he turned on the faucet.

"Sure."

"This story goes far, far back. I never told this to anyone, not even Leyan... Can you keep this a secret from them?"

Lily immediately nodded her head before looking away, her eyes still too shy to look at Xiaoyun’s naked body.

"I was invited on a business trip by... A friend of a friend. I don’t remember his name exactly, but he was a very rich, well-connected businessman in the U.S.

They wanted to talk about a potential massive contract for my company, which coincidentally lined up with my company going public again."
