Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Tristan Sterling Is Scary When He’s Jealous

In the garage.

Staring at the black Bentley that was arrogantly blocking her car, Holly Sinclair’s already bad mood plummeted.

Tristan Sterling stood by the car, his gaze deep as he watched her.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Sterling?"

Holly Sinclair walked forward, her expression impassive, her question cold and distant.

"Are you hurt?" He looked her up and down, and only after confirming she hadn’t been splashed by the boiling water did his stern expression soften considerably.

"What?" She thought she must have misheard.

’Is he showing "concern" for the wrong person?’

’His precious white moonlight is the one who’s hurt. Instead of staying by her side to comfort and care for her, he’s running over here to put on this fake act? Is he doing this just to piss me off?!’

"It won’t happen again."

He suddenly blurted out another cryptic sentence.

’Vivian has realized her mistake. She won’t come looking for trouble with you anymore. As long as you stop deliberately targeting Vivian.’

For some reason, Holly Sinclair understood exactly what he meant.

’Is he saying Vivian Linton won’t be popping up to make her presence known anymore?’

Heh~

’That green tea bitch, Vivian Linton. Could a dog really stop eating shit?’

Holly Sinclair didn’t believe it for a second.

But she couldn’t be bothered to argue with him.

"Excuse me, please move your car," she said coldly, walking past him.

"Holly." He grabbed her arm.

She shook him off, her face a frosty mask. "Why are you blocking my car? Are you here to get revenge for Vivian Linton because she got hurt?"

Seeing her raise her hackles again, Tristan Sterling decisively changed the subject.

"Grandfather misses you."

He wasn’t lying. Grandfather had always doted on her; he surely thought of her every day.

At the mention of Grandfather, Holly Sinclair’s expression did indeed soften.

It was true she hadn’t gone to see Grandfather in nearly half a month.

Although she called him every day, Grandfather always said he was fine and told her not to worry.

"I’ll go see him when I have time."

Holly Sinclair said lightly, turning to get into her car.

"Let’s go now." But he raised an arm to block her path.

He wouldn’t let her leave.

Just then, her phone rang.

She took out her phone and answered—

"Brandon... Okay, I’ll be there in a bit."

After hanging up, she turned and walked away.

Knowing it would be harder than climbing to heaven to get him to move his car today, she decided not to drive at all.

When he heard the name "Brandon," Tristan Sterling’s expression instantly became terrifyingly dark.

"Where are you going?"

He took a long stride, blocking her path.

"None of your business!" she shot him a cold glance.

The usually calm and collected man instantly flew into a rage, his dark eyes narrowing dangerously. "Holly Sinclair, I am your husband! And you say it’s none of my business?"

"Tristan Sterling, we’re already divorced!"

"We’re still husband and wife during the cooling-off period!"

Tristan Sterling was indignant, his eyes burning with intense possessiveness.

Holly Sinclair laughed in anger.

She took a step back, her eyes filled with scorn as she met his gaze. "A friendly word of advice, Mr. Sterling. Instead of having the time and leisure to boss me around, why don’t you go care for your precious white moonlight? Don’t waste your valuable time on an ex-wife like me."

Every single word was meant to distance herself from him, dripping with sarcasm.

With that, she walked around him and headed for the elevator.

Tristan Sterling stood frozen in place, his handsome face dark as a thundercloud.

...

「Thirty minutes later.」

Holly Sinclair arrived at a restaurant.

"Over here."

The moment she entered, Brandon Sterling, who was sitting by the window, stood up and waved her over.

"Brandon." Holly Sinclair hurried over, her face wreathed in smiles.

"I ordered your favorite, braised prawns." Brandon Sterling pulled out a chair for her like a true gentleman.

Holly Sinclair sat down, her face full of pleasant surprise.

"Brandon, how did you know I like braised prawns?"

She didn’t stand on ceremony, picking up her chopsticks and digging in with gusto.

Brandon Sterling smiled without a word.

A gentle look passed through his eyes.

The four or five dishes on the table were all Holly Sinclair’s favorites.

Brandon Sterling poured her a glass of water.

He didn’t pick up his own chopsticks, attending to her throughout the entire meal.

One moment he was peeling shrimp for her, the next he was ladling soup.

Gentle and gentlemanly.

"Brandon, I’m sorry. I didn’t have time to come see you before."

Holly Sinclair was thinking of the time he was taken away by the police after being deliberately targeted by Tristan Sterling.

"It’s all right." Brandon Sterling smiled and shook his head.

"Is everything okay now?"

"It’s fine. It was just a misunderstanding."

"That’s good." Holly Sinclair relaxed, and the food in her mouth suddenly tasted even more delicious.

Brandon Sterling, wearing disposable gloves, elegantly peeled a shrimp and placed it in her bowl.

"By the way, how is your brother doing?" he asked, as if in passing.

"Dr. Quincy said he can recover, but it will take time." Speaking of this, Holly Sinclair’s smile grew even brighter and happier.

"That’s wonderful."

Brandon Sterling smiled too, his expression doting. "If there’s anything you need help with, just tell me. I’ll do everything in my power."

"Thank you, Brandon." Holly Sinclair was very moved.

To her, Brandon Sterling wasn’t her brother by blood, but he was better than one.

In her heart, Brandon Sterling and Noah Sinclair were both her brothers.

Brandon Sterling said, "There’s no need to be so formal between us."

The two of them looked at each other and smiled.

The scene was warm and beautiful.

And this entire scene was witnessed by Tristan Sterling.

The black luxury car was parked across the street, directly facing the spot where Holly Sinclair and Brandon Sterling were eating.

Through the glass window, Tristan Sterling saw with perfect clarity how happily the two were chatting.

A frightening chill emanated from his tall frame.

Inside the car, the temperature dropped to freezing.

Seeing Holly Sinclair smile so naturally and happily in front of Brandon Sterling, an inexplicable rage ignited in Tristan Sterling’s heart.

’So it’s not that she can’t smile. It’s that she doesn’t want to smile for me!!’

Sensing the bone-deep chill radiating from their boss, Greg and Connor Grant exchanged a look, not daring to even breathe.

’This is the first time we’ve seen the boss get jealous... It’s even scarier than I imagined!’

...

「Two days later.」

Holly Sinclair had a business trip to Corvium.

She had her eye on a mulberry silk satin from a previous silk exhibition.

She wanted to use it as the main feature for her new spring collection.

Sonia Sutton had told her that this particular mulberry silk was part of an intangible cultural heritage. To collaborate, she would need to travel to Corvium in person to negotiate with the inheritor of the craft.

After getting the contact information for the craft’s inheritor, Holly Sinclair immediately booked a flight to Corvium.

The inheritor lived in a mountain hollow far from the city, isolated from the world.

Luckily, someone was there to pick her up from the airport.

It was a kind-looking, middle-aged couple.

The man drove while the woman made idle chitchat with Holly Sinclair.

The mountain road was rough. Holly Sinclair soon began to feel carsick from the bumpy ride and could only close her eyes and endure the discomfort in her stomach.

Eventually, she drowsily fell asleep. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

In a daze, she felt the car driving on the mountain road for a very long time.

When the car finally stopped, she slowly woke up to find that it was already getting dark outside.

The middle-aged couple got out of the car and started talking to an ugly-looking man in his forties.

Holly Sinclair tried to get out too, but she found she had no strength.

She looked up toward the middle-aged couple, just in time to see the ugly man place a stack of cash in the woman’s hand.

Holly Sinclair’s heart skipped a beat, and a sense of unease washed over her for no apparent reason.

She reached for her phone.

Only to find that both her bag and her phone were gone.
