Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Are You Out of Your Mind?

Ever since seeing those photos taken by passersby, Silas Blackwood had been incredibly excited. The figure in them was stuck in his mind, impossible to forget.

The person in the photo was wearing a Lustre U uniform. That figure, that waist, those legs... even without seeing her face, Silas Blackwood was turned on.

To this day, he still didn’t know anything about this woman.

Who on earth was this woman? How could she be so mysterious? ’Is she really some kind of goddess?’

The more he couldn’t have her, the more Silas Blackwood wanted her.

Even being forced to kneel for a whole day by Quentin Blackwood hadn’t extinguished Silas Blackwood’s obsession. His search for her only grew more frantic.

But now, his father was insisting he have dinner and go on dates with Ivy Sherwood, even reminding him not to forget about taking Ivy to the resort villa.

Although Silas Blackwood had no desire to see Ivy Sherwood, it occurred to him that Ivy seemed to have a good relationship with Quentin Blackwood. Maybe he could get her to ask around for him.

He’d heard that Quentin Blackwood had even attended the opening of Ivy Sherwood’s studio just two days ago.

Forget attending the opening—he didn’t even know that Ivy Sherwood had left the Sherwood Company to open her own studio.

As her fiancé, he was kept in the dark about everything, yet Quentin Blackwood somehow knew it all. ’When did the two of them get so close?’

So, he drove straight to Ivy Sherwood’s studio. Ivy was busy working when her newly hired assistant, Edie, came to tell her she had a visitor. Ivy told her to show the person to the meeting room.

A lot of people had come to see Ivy Sherwood to discuss contracts these past few days. Ivy was too busy to even ask who it was.

However, Silas Blackwood walked right in. "Ivy Sherwood."

Ivy Sherwood hadn’t expected it to be Silas Blackwood. She glanced at him once before lowering her head. "What are you doing here?"

"You think I want to be here? Dad told me to ask you to dinner."

"I don’t have time." She was so busy she was practically flying. She couldn’t even make time for dinner with Nina Scott, so how could she possibly go out with Silas Blackwood?

"This little dump of a studio of yours isn’t even that big. How can you be busier than me, a general manager?"

Ivy Sherwood ignored Silas Blackwood and continued with her work.

Her office wasn’t particularly large. Behind her was a bookshelf where some contracts were also placed.

Ivy Sherwood needed to find something. She stood up and stretched on her tiptoes, rummaging through items on a high shelf.

Today, she was wearing a simple blouse and a pair of shorts.

Her legs were slender and straight, and her waist looked like you could wrap one hand around it.

Silas Blackwood suddenly froze. It was the first time he had ever really looked at Ivy Sherwood like this, and he realized she had a fantastic figure.

It was even... a little similar to the woman in the photo.

Silas Blackwood gulped. Just then, Ivy Sherwood found what she was looking for. She turned around and walked back to her desk.

The moment Silas Blackwood saw Ivy Sherwood’s face, the passion he’d felt just a second ago vanished completely, replaced by a deep sense of disgust.

’I must have been crazy just now,’ he thought, ’to think Ivy Sherwood’s figure resembled that woman’s.’

’That face is just so off-putting.’

An inexplicable frustration welled up inside him, like a fire that urgently needed to be vented.

"I’m talking to you! I came to get you personally. You should feel honored. Don’t play dumb with me."

Without looking up, Ivy Sherwood replied, "Give that honor to someone else. Maybe Anna Nash would appreciate it more."

Was Ivy Sherwood deliberately ignoring him? ’Pretending not to care? Is she playing hard to get?’

"My patience is limited. Come to dinner with me now, or I’ll tear up this document." Silas Blackwood picked up the contract Ivy had just found.

"Silas Blackwood, are you insane?!"

And it was a serious case, at that.

"I told you, my patience is limited."

"Put it down. I’ll go to dinner with you, but I only have half an hour." As it happened, Ivy Sherwood hadn’t eaten dinner yet either.

Silas Blackwood didn’t care. Eating with Ivy Sherwood was just a task for him to complete, anyway.

Silas Blackwood and Ivy Sherwood left the studio together. His car was parked outside.

As they were about to get in the car, Silas Blackwood found himself in a dilemma.

He had promised Anna Nash that the front passenger seat was hers exclusively. If another woman sat there, Anna would definitely get angry.

But if he had Ivy Sherwood sit in the back, it would be like he was her chauffeur, and that was absolutely unacceptable.

Silas Blackwood thought for a moment, then prepared to hand the car keys to Ivy Sherwood. "You drive."

’Making Ivy Sherwood his chauffeur was more like it.’

"We’re just getting a bite to eat. There are restaurants right here."

"Do you think I, Silas Blackwood, would eat this kind of stuff?"

’He’s so much trouble,’ Ivy thought. ’What’s wrong with the food here?’ She actually thought the places to eat around her studio were quite good.

"I have my own car. Just send me the address, and I’ll head over directly." After speaking, Ivy Sherwood got straight into her car, locked the doors, and showed no intention of letting Silas Blackwood in.

Unless it was absolutely necessary, she would never get into Silas Blackwood’s car. That car was... unclean.

Who knew how many times Anna Nash and Silas Blackwood had fooled around in there. Last time, Anna Nash even posted on her social media from inside this very car. The gist was that her boyfriend was ’so amazing’ he’d gone through two boxes of condoms in a week. Just thinking about it was nauseating.

Ivy Sherwood drove off first. Silas Blackwood sent her the address, and she headed straight there.

What she hadn’t expected was that the restaurant was right next to the hotel where she had been with Quentin Blackwood before.

In fact, the restaurant and the hotel had the same owner, and they even shared a parking lot.

Silas Blackwood and Anna Nash had been to this hotel many times. The food at the restaurant was to Silas’s liking, so he came often. Sometimes, after a full meal or a few too many drinks, they would just get a room next door. It was very convenient.

There were still plenty of parking spots. Ivy Sherwood was just about to pull into one when a car from behind suddenly cut her off, pulling its front end halfway into the space as if deliberately trying to steal it.

’So many empty spots, and they just had to fight for this one?’

Ivy Sherwood prepared to park in the next spot over, but that car seemed to want to snatch that one too.

There were several empty spots near Ivy Sherwood. Seeing the car go for that one, she flicked her steering wheel and glided smoothly into the one next to it.

After turning off the engine, Ivy Sherwood got out of her car and saw Thea Sherwood getting out of hers at the same time.

’I was wondering who could be so childish.’ Seeing Thea Sherwood, she wasn’t surprised at all.

"Ivy Sherwood, what are you doing here?" Thea Sherwood had seen Ivy’s car and had deliberately tried to steal her parking spot.

"Why shouldn’t I be here? Do you own this place?" Ivy Sherwood had no intention of engaging with Thea Sherwood.

"The person who asked me to come... was it you?"

But Thea Sherwood felt something was off. It was Yasmin Lee who had invited her here, saying she wanted to apologize. Yasmin had also mentioned a surprise, insisting she had to come and should dress nicely.

Thea Sherwood didn’t know what the surprise was, but for the sake of their friendship, and because Yasmin Lee had sounded so sincere about wanting to apologize, she had reluctantly agreed to come.

But running into Ivy Sherwood here, and then remembering that Yasmin Lee worked at Ivy’s studio... ’Could it be that Ivy was the one who deliberately arranged for me to come?’
