Chapter 20: Chapter 20: How About Something More Exciting?

"Is this acceptable now?"

Seeing the signed contract, Ivy Sherwood placed it back in her bag with satisfaction.

"Now it’s time for just the two of us, baby. You know, I thought you were beautiful last night."

Ivy Sherwood replied, "President Walker, you certainly have unique taste. You’re the first person to ever call me beautiful."

’She’s so ugly, I don’t like her either,’ he thought. ’But damn, she has a great body. Besides, I owe Anna Nash a favor.’

’Anyway, I’ve been with so many women, one more won’t make a difference. So what if she’s a little ugly? As long as she’s wild, that’s all that matters.’

Gabriel Walker grabbed Ivy Sherwood’s wrist and dragged her toward the bathroom.

"Let’s not waste any time. How about we start by sharing a shower?"

Gabriel Walker pulled Ivy Sherwood under the showerhead and cranked on the water. It cascaded down, soaking Ivy’s clothes instantly.

Ivy Sherwood had only been wearing a white T-shirt, and now that it was wet, it clung to her skin.

Her stunning figure was suddenly on full display, and Gabriel Walker nearly started drooling.

Ivy Sherwood quickly grabbed a nearby bath towel and draped it over her shoulders to cover herself.

"What’s the rush, President Walker? I see you have so many... props out there. Why don’t we play something a little more exciting?"

"Oh yeah? I love exciting." Gabriel Walker grinned with ill intent.

’This woman isn’t much to look at, but her voice is incredibly seductive,’ he thought. ’Just listening to it is enough to make a man’s imagination run wild.’

"I’m guessing you can’t really get into the mood looking at this face of mine, can you, President Walker? Why don’t I help you put on a blindfold first?"

"So you’re into that kind of game, huh? Fine by me."

Ivy Sherwood went out and grabbed a silk ribbon, which she used to blindfold Gabriel Walker.

"President Walker, you’re a married man. Isn’t this a little... inappropriate?" Ivy Sherwood asked deliberately.

Nearby, the light on Ivy Sherwood’s phone flashed.

"That battle-ax at home can’t compare to you girls. There’s no way she can control me!"

"What if we go too far tonight and I get pregnant? I remember hearing that two of your little mistresses got pregnant. Did you take care of that?"

"Don’t you worry. Even if you get pregnant, I’ll support you. I can definitely afford one more." Gabriel Walker was ecstatic, blurting everything out.

"Sounds like President Walker cheats on his wife quite a bit, huh?"

"Of course. What man doesn’t?" Gabriel Walker said, looking quite proud of himself.

Having gotten the answers she wanted, Ivy Sherwood stopped asking questions and saved the recording.

"How about this, President Walker? I’ll go out first, and then you can come and catch me. If you can catch me, I’ll let you do whatever you want, okay? Anything you want to try, I’m game."

"No way. What if you run off?" Though his mind was clouded with lust, Gabriel Walker wasn’t a complete idiot.

"We’re business partners now. You know where to find me even if I did run."

Gabriel Walker thought that made sense. "Fine."

Ivy Sherwood calculated that enough time had passed, then left the room. Not long after, a woman rushed over and swiped a keycard to open the door.

Inside the room, Gabriel Walker had taken off his clothes and was still blindfolded. After waiting for a long time without hearing a sound, he stepped out of the bathroom.

"Baby, where are you? I’m coming to get you, baby!" As he spoke, Gabriel Walker’s hands began to grope around.

Just as he was wondering if Ivy Sherwood had run off and played him for a fool, he suddenly touched someone.

Gabriel Walker smirked. "Baby, I knew you were here. Playing quiet, were you? Did you think I wouldn’t be able to find you if you didn’t make a sound?"

Gabriel Walker threw his arms around the woman, started tearing at her clothes, and began kissing her fiercely.

If he hadn’t been blindfolded, he would have seen the ugly expression on the woman’s face.

SLAP! A vicious backhand struck Gabriel Walker across the face, leaving him stunned.

"Gabriel Walker, you take a good long look at who the hell I am!"

Hearing that battle-ax’s voice, Gabriel Walker hastily ripped the silk ribbon from his eyes. The person he feared most was standing right in front of him, and he was so terrified he nearly had a heart attack.

"Honey, what are you doing here? Honey, listen to me, I can explain!"

Mrs. Walker grabbed the nearest object and hurled it at Gabriel Walker. "You’ve been messing around out there, and you even dared to get someone pregnant! You must have a death wish! Do you really think you’re some kind of big shot? Without me, you’d be nothing today!"

"AARGH!" A scream like a pig being slaughtered echoed through the room.

Out by the stairwell, Ivy Sherwood had already sent the recording she’d made of Gabriel Walker’s confession to Mrs. Walker.

She had also been the one to call Mrs. Walker over in advance. She had investigated Gabriel Walker, knew about all the dirty things he’d done, and knew how terrified he was of his wife. So, when he had asked her to a hotel, she had planned this whole scene.

Now that the show was starting, Ivy Sherwood had no intention of sticking around to watch. She’d rather use the time to go home and get some rest.

Just as she was about to leave, she saw the elevator doors open. The man she had seen only ten-odd minutes ago had appeared on a floor where he shouldn’t be.

Ivy Sherwood saw Quentin Blackwood step out of the elevator, his face livid. When he heard the screams coming from the room, his pace quickened.

The door hadn’t been shut completely, and Quentin Blackwood kicked it wide open.

"Ivy Sherwood!"

Inside the room, Mrs. Walker was still pummeling Gabriel Walker. There was no sign of Ivy Sherwood at all.

"Little Uncle, are you looking for me? I’m over here!" Ivy Sherwood’s voice came from behind him.

Quentin Blackwood turned to see Ivy Sherwood emerging from the stairwell.

Ivy Sherwood was wrapped in a bath towel, her hair still wet.

Ivy Sherwood walked over and grabbed Quentin Blackwood’s wrist. "Let’s go, let’s go! Don’t interrupt their domestic dispute!"

Hearing Ivy Sherwood’s voice, Gabriel Walker struggled to get up. "Ivy Sherwood, you goddamn bitch, you get back here!"

Mrs. Walker immediately smacked him across the face again. "Who are you trying to go after now!"

Ivy Sherwood pulled Quentin Blackwood into the elevator. Under the towel, her face looked particularly small, and her eyes were filled with mirth. "Little Uncle, and you said you weren’t worried about me?"

Quentin Blackwood grabbed Ivy Sherwood’s chin, a storm brewing in his amber eyes.

"Ivy Sherwood, I told you to behave yourself. It seems my words went in one ear and out the other."

"Little Uncle’s words are an imperial edict. How could I dare to forget?" She tapped the spot over her heart. "I remember them all right here!"

"Besides, how did I not behave myself? I just came to sign a contract. Yesterday and today, my goal was very simple. It was Gabriel Walker who had impure intentions. So I called his wife over. His wife is really, really vicious. Now, even if he doesn’t die, he’ll be skinned alive!"

Quentin Blackwood: "..."

"Don’t worry, Little Uncle. I know my limits. I would never bring shame to the Blackwood Family." Ivy Sherwood thought Quentin Blackwood had only come because he was afraid she would tarnish the family’s name.

"If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going, Little Uncle." With that, Ivy Sherwood reached for the button for the first floor.

But before her hand could touch the button, a large hand shot out and blocked it.

As Ivy Sherwood pressed forward, the pad of her finger landed directly on the back of Quentin Blackwood’s hand.
