Chapter 866: Chapter 775: End of the Assessment (2)

For wizards, knowledge is always the most valuable thing, and also the source of their power.

After reading the rewards, the middle-aged warlock closed the scroll and scanned everyone present.

"There’s one more thing," his tone suddenly became more solemn, "You’ve been on the Central Islands for a year now. In two more years, your three-year study will be over."

By then, those who have completed all their studies and passed the final assessment will become formal members of the Six-Ring Tower."

There was a low murmur from the audience.

Being a formal member of the Six-Ring Tower means not just being an ordinary student, but truly becoming a part of this hall of knowledge.

Joining the Six-Ring Tower means gaining access to deeper knowledge, using top-tier resources, and having a place in the most central part of the entire Wizard Plane.

"It does not conflict with your original organizations," the middle-aged warlock added, "The Six-Ring Tower is a higher organization, your families, and forces remain your foundation. And the Six-Ring Tower will be your most solid backing on your future path."

The murmurs grew louder.

Some had flames ignited in their eyes, some clenched their fists, and some silently calculated the two years in their minds.

The middle-aged warlock said nothing more, he just gave everyone one last glance and turned to leave.

Duke stood in place, watching those departing backs, silently contemplating.

A formal member of the Six-Ring Tower, he had never thought of that identity before.

He came to the Central Islands to improve his strength, to comprehend the rules, for the distant realm of a Level 3 Mage.

But now, Duke suddenly realized that this path was much longer than he had imagined.

The Six-Ring Tower could be considered the top wizard organization in the entire wizard plane, and a very large force, occupying the highest resources and powers of the plane.

Ordinary wizards have no way to join, unless they are extremely outstanding, they may receive an invitation from the Six-Ring Tower to join.

Now they only need to complete these three years of study, stay to the end and they can join, clearly, the Six-Ring Tower is preparing to absorb new blood.

And Duke and his peers happened to catch this opportunity, the study in the Central Islands in the past did not have such opportunities.

Even if there were, it was only for extremely outstanding young wizards.

Naturally, Duke would seize this opportunity, if he can join the Six-Ring Tower, the future path will be much easier.

More importantly, as his strength and realm level rise, the people he interacts with will also become more powerful.

With so many secrets of his own, once known, it would easily attract covetousness, a strong enough backing could provide some support for him.

Before anyone can act against him, they must first consider if they can afford to offend the Six-Ring Tower.

However, if there is internal strife within the Six-Ring Tower, then that’s another matter.

Duke withdrew his thoughts and turned to head towards the dormitory area.

The assessment was over, and the rankings and rewards were settled.

Next, it was time to bring the cultivation of the Elemental Holy Body to the agenda.

...

Upon returning to the dormitory, Duke did not rest, but directly entered the Light God Court.

The sky of the Divine Court was still bright, and the outline of distant snow mountains was clearly visible.

Beside the Spring of Life, the ten herbs were growing well, the seed of the World Tree still lay at the bottom of the spring, and the golden tea next to it emitted a gentle glow.

Duke didn’t look at those, he went straight to the central barren land of the Divine Court and sat cross-legged.

He closed his eyes, letting his consciousness sink into the depths of his soul.

The silhouette of the Skill Tree appeared in the Spiritual Sea, the branches intertwined, and the leaves were lush.

At the nearest trunk position, a new branch was slowly growing, which was the branch of the Elemental Holy Body.

At this moment, it was just a tender bud, lush and green, not yet bearing leaves, let alone blooming and bearing fruit.

Duke directed his Spiritual Power into the bud and sensed a line of information appearing on it:

[Elemental Holy Body: Tier 1 (1/10000)]

Ten thousand proficiency points, this required more initial proficiency than any skill he had seen.

Level 1 Magic to full level required just over a thousand points, Level 2 Magic, just a thousand points to level up once.

Yet the Elemental Holy Body, just the first tier requires ten thousand points.

Nine tiers down, it’s likely to be an astronomical number.

Duke retreated his Spiritual Power and opened his eyes.

According to the inherited descriptions, there are two ways to cultivate the Elemental Holy Body: one is to methodically absorb Free Energy Particles, slowly tempering the body.

This method doesn’t require any resources, but the speed is extremely slow.

According to his calculations, at his current absorption rate, he could increase his proficiency by a few points each day, it would take at least three to five years to fill these ten thousand points.

He couldn’t wait that long, nor could he adopt such a tortoise-paced method of cultivation.

The other method is to use external objects. Anything containing Elemental Energy can be used to accelerate cultivation.

Magic Crystal Stones, Elemental Crystals, Energy Wells, and so on, the high-purity Elemental Energy stored in these things is hundreds or thousands of times thicker than Free Energy Particles, and the absorption efficiency is much higher.

Duke thought of the two Energy Wells in the Light God Court.

He had set up a bright and a dark Energy Well in the Light God Court, using the dissipation energy from the Seed of Light and Moon Well, accumulating slowly.

In one year, each Energy Well had just about accumulated to a usable degree.

Although there were only two, it was better than none.

He stood up and walked to the east side of the Spring of Life.

There stood a dark-gold tower device about five meters high, the tower engraved with dense runes, this is the accumulation device of the Bright Energy Well.

The vortex at the top of the tower slowly rotated, storing the bright energy accumulated over a year, dense like liquid sunlight.

He then walked to the Shadow Valley, where the collection device of the Dark Attribute Energy Well stood silently, with pure Power of Darkness surging in the dim vortex.

Duke found an open space between the two Energy Wells and sat cross-legged again.

He closed his eyes and extended his Spiritual Power into both Energy Wells, cautiously drawing out two strands of energy, one of Light, one of Darkness.

The two energies flowed through his Spiritual Power into his body, one warm and vast, the other cold and profound.

They paralleled in his meridians, not interfering with each other, infiltrating into his flesh and bones respectively.

The Light energy tempered his skin and perception, making every inch of skin more sensitive and his Spiritual Power more solid.

The Darkness energy tempered his internal organs and meridians, making the five viscera and six bowels more resilient, allowing Magic Power to circulate more smoothly.

The sensation of the two entirely different forces acting simultaneously was indescribable.

It was like being burnt by fire while soaked in ice, the pain and comfort intertwined, tearing and healing coexisted.

Duke gritted his teeth, guiding the two energies to slowly circulate according to the Elemental Holy Body’s path.

One round, two rounds, three rounds... with each circulation, he felt his body solidifying further, and the energies of Light and Darkness were slowly absorbed by his muscles, bones, and internal organs, integrating with his flesh.

With each rotation, the proficiency would bounce once, the increase was faster than absorbing Free Energy Particles by a hundredfold or more.

Duke immersed himself in cultivation, forgetting the time.

He didn’t know how long it took, but he felt the Light and Darkness energies inside his body had been exhausted, and the reserves in the two Energy Wells had noticeably decreased.

He opened his eyes and looked at the proficiency on the Skill Tree:

[Elemental Holy Body: Tier 1 (280/10000)]

At this rate, absorbing all the energy from the two Energy Wells could probably increase to two to three thousand points.

Though not enough to fill the ten thousand, it was much faster than hard cultivation.

Duke stood up, stretching his limbs.

His body had undergone obvious changes, not externally, but internally.

He could feel his skin becoming more tight, muscles more elastic, bones stronger, even his internal organs seemed to have been reforged.

The cultivation of the Elemental Holy Body has a clear enhancement on physical attributes, even without leveling up yet, his physical attributes had already slightly improved.

Duke then glanced at the attribute panel.

[Constitution: 88.3→ 91.2]

[Strength: 89.8→ 92.5]

[Agility: 86.1→ 88.7]

[Spirit: 451.3→451.4]

[Free attribute points: 1]

If he continued cultivating this way, his body’s strength would increase, and comparing to bloodline creatures wouldn’t be just talk.
