Chapter 206: Chapter 164: Noel: What? The Mad Witch of the Terra Empire? Then Again...

"It’s likely some kind of Anti-Witch Spell. She holds a grudge against Angel, so it’s perfectly normal for her to develop targeted Magic."

Unlike a tense Lorna, Isaac wasn’t concerned. Countering something isn’t that easy, especially with methods related to Magic, which are almost always affected by Magic Resistance.

And neither Witches nor Wizards are weak in that regard.

As for the counter relationship between tentacles and Magical Girls...

Well, that’s an exception!

"Is that even possible?" Lorna asked, surprised. "There’s really Magic that can target a specific group?"

"Yes, it’s simple. You just have to cast the spell by targeting the Concept of ’Witch.’ Besides, a Legendary Mage can draw Magic Power and Magic from Legends. All they need to do is write a story, and stories targeting Witches spread very easily."

Seeing Lorna’s furrowed brow, Isaac smiled, patted her shoulder, and said, "You don’t need to worry so much. The counter-effect isn’t that strong. As long as you’re powerful enough, nothing can truly counter you. Besides, if you can’t handle it, you’ll still have me, right?"

"HISS HISS~" Harmon, who was busy arranging the ritual materials off to the side, wagged its index finger in agreement. ’So what if she’s a Divine Apostle? She’d still be no match for me!’

"Okay! I feel better now!" Lorna glanced at Isaac, then at Harmon, and nodded emphatically.

"Good. We’ll get back to work then. If you’re still worried, you can go for a walk and talk to the people in the fortress. The spell Philo used is probably the Faith Steel Seal. It’s a rather unorthodox spell, but it’s generally safe and easy to break free from. At the end of the day, she has to consider the potential impact on the Terra Empire."

"She cares about that?" Lorna looked incredulous. It seemed hard to imagine that someone so crazy would still care about her country.

"Of course." Isaac gave a wry smile. "For one thing, if she wants to take Itra for herself, she’ll absolutely need the Empire’s backing. So, as long as our actions align with the Empire’s interests, she would never dare to move against us."

"Is that right?" Lorna nodded, a look of wonder on her face. Then she turned and skipped cheerfully out of the castle.

"Alright, time to get back to work." Having placated the child, Isaac and Harmon exchanged a look, gave a soft high-five, and resumed setting up the ritual.

And so, everyone got busy with their own tasks—the man-eaters with their feasting, the saviors with their rescuing, and the ritualists with their preparations. As evening fell, the setting sun cast a golden brilliance over the fortress. Rays of light streamed through the window, landing in the room where Isaac was setting up the ritual and slightly dispelling some of the room’s sinister aura.

"Whew... It’s finally done." Inside, Isaac straightened up, scanned his surroundings, and nodded in satisfaction.

After nearly a full day of work, Isaac had completely transformed the room. Twisted symbols were drawn on the floor in dark red blood. The walls were covered in gory "masterpieces" that would never pass a censor’s review. Mutilated limbs were strewn across the ground.

There were even a few pieces of furniture cobbled together from limbs!

The entire room was like something straight out of Hell!

"Tsk, tsk. No wonder I couldn’t absorb their souls. So you’re the one behind this mischief." A phantom figure materialized at the doorway. It surveyed the room’s decor and spoke with great interest.

Despite its words, the figure took a deep breath with a look of pure bliss. Even though there were no souls to eat, it loved this room. Coming here felt just like coming home. It absolutely adored it!

The phantom figure was, of course, the Demon Astaros, summoned by Angel. He now stood with his arms wide open, the wings on his back slowly unfurling, an ecstatic expression on his face.

"If you like it that much, how about I give it to you? In exchange for a deal?" Isaac showed no fear towards him. Even though Astaros was a High Position Demon, this wasn’t Hell. Right now, he was nothing more than a mere projection summoned by Angel.

He didn’t even count as a true avatar.

"No, thanks!" The moment he heard Isaac, Astaros’s blissful expression vanished. He not only scrambled out of the room but also held his breath, staring at Isaac with extreme vigilance.

’A trade ritual with a Mad Witch? How the fuck is that a trade?’

’He’d already suffered a huge loss because of one before. After that, he swore he would never again trust a single word—not even a punctuation mark—from a Mad Witch!’

’Best not to interact with them at all!’

And with that, Astaros’s figure flickered and vanished on the spot.

For an Existence like him, the terror of a Mad Witch lay in the title itself, regardless of the individual’s actual strength.

The only difference was the magnitude of the loss you would suffer.

Isaac watched the spot where Astaros had vanished and raised an eyebrow. Paying the Demon no mind, he inspected the ritual one last time. Then, he stood at the doorway, just outside the blood-red Magic Array, and extended his right hand. Pale blue Magic Power began to gather at his fingertips.

"DRIP."

Instantly, the sound of a falling drop echoed through the cramped space. A blue radiance began to spread throughout the room, originating from the point where the "drop" had landed.

Once the blue radiance had filled the room, it flashed scarlet in an instant, bathing Isaac’s seemingly crazed face in its light.

Then, the scarlet light began to converge in the center of the Ritual Array, and then...
