Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Talent

"Is there something else?" Andre asked as he took out the materials, preparing to place them into the extractor for further purification.

"No. Can’t I just stay here for a bit?"

An idea struck Selena as her eyes darted about. She planned to stick around Andre’s place and not leave until he changed his mind.

For the moment, she couldn’t think of a better plan.

Andre looked at Selena and knew exactly what she was thinking. He shook his head and paid her no more mind, focusing instead on his work.

Soon, he had brewed one Potion after another, placing them on the table.

’What a terrifying success rate. This guy never seems to fail when he’s brewing Potions!’

Selena sat on Andre’s bed, watching his every move.

At that moment, Andre was a complete monster in her eyes.

No Alchemist could ever guarantee they wouldn’t make a mistake while brewing a Potion. That’s why they always demanded absolute concentration and asked everyone else to leave their rooms to minimize distractions.

But Andre was different. He was like a machine, operating nonstop and churning out one Potion after another.

’Is the effect of the Eye of Truth really that terrifying?’

Selena frowned as she watched Andre’s movements. She already knew what his Talent Witchcraft was.

It was precisely because they knew about his Talent Witchcraft that the Four Great Clans suspected Andre had taken the Divine Blood.

Although Selena and the others had all used tools to search for the Divine Blood, what tool could possibly be as effective as Andre’s eyes?

But without any proof that Andre had obtained the Divine Blood, the Four Great Clans were in a bind.

Meanwhile, Andre continued to brew his Potions. Gradually, Selena became mesmerized by his movements.

Her eyes were glued to Andre’s every action.

’If his movements could be recorded right now, they would be a textbook on Potion brewing.’

Selena’s eyes widened as she committed Andre’s every move to memory.

At this moment, Andre’s every action—every flick of his wrist, every time he mixed the solutions—was textbook-perfect. It was impossible to find a single flaw.

The reason Andre could achieve this was precisely because of the Ability his Talent Witchcraft, the Eye of Truth, granted him.

The Eye of Truth could perceive the flow of Energy in the world.

And Magic Potion Science, strictly speaking, was also related to Energy.

Only when the Energy within the various materials reached a balance and fused together completely could a Potion be successfully brewed.

Because of this, Andre could clearly see the reactions as the different materials fused and collided within the test tube. This allowed him to avoid all possible errors while brewing Potions.

He just needed to commit to memory the sequence of Energy flow reflected by the reactions during the Potion’s fusion.

Then, he just had to repeat that pattern over and over.

This was also why Andre had been able to survive for four months in the frozen expanse of the Black and White Forest.

He wasn’t very demanding about his materials. As long as their internal Energy could fuse together completely during the brewing process, it was fine.

And so, Andre continued to brew Potions in his room until night fell.

By this time, Selena finally couldn’t hold on any longer. She yawned, got off the bed, and left Andre’s room.

Andre watched Selena’s retreating back, shook his head, and continued brewing. At the same time, he combined several finished Potions, which solidified.

When the reaction between these Potions was complete, a jelly-like substance appeared in Andre’s hand.

This "jelly" was a Potion Andre had found in the Wizard Inheritance Hall, one suitable for cultivating Elemental Creatures.

This Potion could significantly increase the speed at which a Magical Beast absorbed external Magic Power.

Potato itself was a pure Elemental Creature, so its absorption of external Magic Power was already fast. On top of that, it spent all its time in a small nest built from Magic Stones.

Now, with this Potion, Potato’s growth rate had already surpassed the fastest growth record for any Elemental Creature in the history of the Wizard World.

(Excluding Elemental Creatures raised on piles of Elemental Crystals.)

Andre placed the jelly into Potato’s mouth, stuffed a piece of Honeycomb in for good measure, and then went back to brewing Potions.

He didn’t stop until he had used up every last material on hand.

Ten days had passed. By now, Andre had used up all of his materials except for those for some High Tier Potions, which he couldn’t brew due to a lack of other ingredients.

’I only have one plate of Honeycomb left. To get more, I have to go back to Secret Realm No. 1. But if I go back, the Four Great Clans will definitely be watching me. I need to find someone to help.’

Andre popped a piece of Honeycomb into his mouth, picked up a box, and started walking toward the market.

The Honeycomb didn’t do much for him, but it was crucial for Potato’s growth.

Potato hadn’t grown at all since it was born in the Secret Realm, which meant its Soul, formed from the Power of Elements, hadn’t grown either.

Therefore, aside from occasionally unleashing its Talent Witchcraft when it was distressed, Potato was no different from an ordinary bear.

Under normal circumstances, he would have had plenty of time to raise Potato.

But now, with the expedition drawing closer, Potato’s slow growth had become the biggest problem.

To change this, besides giving Potato large amounts of Elemental Crystals, fostering the growth of its Soul was of the utmost importance.

If Potato’s Soul was still in its current muddled state when he became an Official Wizard and needed to sign the Master-Servant Contract, the contract couldn’t be formed at all.

Fortunately, the honey in the Honeycomb could stimulate Potato’s Soul and accelerate its growth.

This was why Andre always fed Potato a piece of Honeycomb whenever it asked for some.

He was speeding up Potato’s growth. Every time Potato came to him for Honeycomb, it meant that it had completely absorbed the Power within the previous piece.

’That Purple Crystal Bee Swarm doesn’t recognize anyone but me. That’s the most troublesome part.’

Andre arrived at the market carrying a wooden box. The reason he was carrying it was that his Storage Ring was almost full of Potions.
