Chapter 330: Chapter 321: God Statue: Cyclops 2

"Hahaha... Good... Huh? What’s going on?"

The three Earth Core Furnaces were indeed powerful, but they were a little too powerful. All the Magic Power deep underground near the workshop surged toward the Cyclops.

As a result, the three Earth Vein Magic Furnaces in the deployed workshop immediately shut down.

The power was out!

"Holy crap!"

Allen’s joy turned to sorrow. A post-incident tally revealed that the cost of materials and Golems damaged on the production line alone exceeded a million Magic Stones, not to mention the important experiments underway in several labs.

Therefore, this Golem couldn’t be tested in the real world for the time being, at least not in Zone 18.

"Even a rich landlord couldn’t afford this gas-guzzler."

Allen shook his head slightly.

The three Earth Core Furnaces drew Magic Power at an extremely fast rate. Once the twin pylons were driven into the ground, the Magic Power circulation beneath Cybertron would be completely drained within three minutes.

If used in the outside world, it could even trigger deep crustal tectonic activity—in other words, cause earthquakes.

"Initiate deep simulation. Load standard combat test field."

Allen had come today to check out this big guy and run a simulation test while he was at it.

[Loading data for Cyclops.]

Core Ability System:

Earth Vein Attunement: After inserting the "Earth Vein Anchor Pylons" into the ground, the Golem can draw Earth Vein Magic Power from deep within the planet’s crust. It gains virtually limitless energy and triple its normal output. As long as the pylons remain, it can continuously repair shield damage.

Gravity Control: Unscientifically alters its own gravity and that of surrounding objects. Can increase its own and surrounding gravity by 10 times under normal conditions; can reverse gravity when sprinting, making its body as light as paper.

While in Earth Vein Attunement, the Golem can manipulate the terrain within a 5-kilometer radius—raising stone walls, creating pitfalls, and inducing localized earthquakes (a combat application of the Anti-Gravity Rune Array).

Super Vibration: The hands can generate high-frequency vibrations that disintegrate the structure of any matter upon contact. Combined with Gravity Control, it can easily breach defensive fortifications and enemy armor.

Super AT Barrier: A high-intensity AT Field with a massive area of effect, capable of providing defense for allied units and facilities.

Armament and Attack Patterns:

Earth-Splitting Hammer: Primary weapon, 18 meters in total length. The hammerhead is a giant hexahedron with a "Mass Amplification" Rune carved on each face. A single strike can trigger a magnitude 6 earthquake on the Richter scale, with a shockwave capable of shattering buildings within a one-kilometer radius. The hammerhead also contains a "Thermal Fusion Core" that can convert ground and rock strata into super-heated magma.

Volcano Cannon: Fired from both hands. Draws Fire Elemental Magic Power from the Earth Vein Anchor Pylons to launch high-temperature, high-pressure blobs of magma. Though its range is only 3 kilometers, the magma splattered after an explosion covers a large area and burns continuously.

Melee move "Gravity Punch": Can increase the mass of its fist a hundredfold at the moment of impact, creating the effect of a small meteor strike.

[Load complete. Commencing test.]

A medium-sized city covering ten square kilometers rose from the ground.

Its walls were towering, its streets a sprawling grid.

On the plains outside the city, 50 virtual Mid-Level Magical Beasts, comparable to First-level Wizards, and one Second-Level Magical Beast spawned.

Ground Drakes, Iron Armor Rhinoceroses, Thunderstorm Giant Bears...

The Cyclops stood guard before the city gates, its forty-eight-meter height surpassing the city walls.

The horde of Magical Beasts began to charge. The ground shook violently.

A deluge of ranged attacks—fireballs, lightning, breath weapons—rained down from all directions.

The Cyclops showed no intention of dodging.

The Super AT Field Generator inside its chassis began to operate at full power.

A hemispherical energy shield of pale gold erupted outward, its radius reaching five hundred meters, completely shielding the entire section of the city wall behind it.

All the magical attacks slammed into the shield, stirring up dense ripples of energy.

The shield didn’t budge an inch.

"Gravity Control, standard tenfold amplification," Allen commanded.

The gravitational field around the Golem’s body changed instantly. Large sections of the virtual ground cracked and sank. Its two feet were firmly planted on the ground.

Two Ground Drakes, carried by their charging momentum, crashed into the shield. Their immense kinetic energy was directly absorbed by the Force Field.

The Cyclops raised its right arm, fingers splayed.

The surface of its palm glowed with a blinding white light of high-frequency oscillation as the Super Vibration generator activated.

The giant palm passed through the shield and pressed down on one of the Ground Drake’s skulls.

BANG!

The high-frequency vibration instantly caused the Ground Drake’s head to explode. Its headless body fell and dissipated.

"Engage positional warfare mode. Deploy Earth Vein Anchor Pylons."

The two metal cylinders on its back slammed down, plunging deep into the ground beneath its feet.

Earth Vein Attunement activated.

The output of the three Earth Core Furnaces instantly tripled.

An endless torrent of Magic Power surged through the anchor pylons and madly poured into its body.

Scorching Fire Elemental Magic Power escaped from the seams of its dark red armor, and the Golem’s temperature exceeded four thousand degrees.

"Anti-Gravity Rune Array, reverse output. Terrain reconstruction."

The ground within five hundred meters in front of the Cyclops roiled violently. Thick rock strata burst through the surface, forming three thirty-meter-high walls of barbed stone.

The charging horde of Magical Beasts slammed hard into the stone walls, their bones breaking and tendons snapping. Their formation instantly crumbled.

"Primary weapon, Earth-Splitting Hammer."

A heavy hammer, eighteen meters in total length, was now in its hand.

"Gravity reversal. Maximum output jump."

The gravity around the Golem’s body instantly inverted.

The forty-eight-meter-tall, three-thousand-ton body soared into the air, leaping to a height of three hundred meters.

"Hundredfold gravity amplification! Gravity Punch stacked with the Earth-Splitting Hammer. Smash them!"

The Cyclops gripped the hammer’s handle, poised to strike like Mount Tai crashing down.

The gravitational field switched from extremely light to extremely heavy in an instant. The Golem plummeted, carrying terrifying kinetic energy.

BOOM!

The earth shook and the mountains swayed!

It was as if a magnitude 6 earthquake had erupted on the surface.

A tangible white shockwave swept out across the ground, instantly pulverizing the three stone walls.

Immediately after, the earth bucked and split like ocean waves. Bottomless chasms spread toward the city’s edge, swallowing everything.

The distant city walls crumbled, and all virtual buildings within a radius of several kilometers collapsed.

Meanwhile, the three hundred Magical Beasts nearby were directly disintegrated by the shockwave, turning into a sky full of data streams.

The Thermal Fusion Core inside the hammerhead activated.

The high temperature at the point of impact spread rapidly.

The rock strata melted, and a five-hundred-meter-diameter lake of magma formed outside the city.

The Cyclops stood in the center of the magma lake, its dark red armor completely unharmed by the extreme heat.

"Test the Volcano Cannon."

The Golem raised its hands, palms aimed at the surviving urban area three kilometers away.

Fire Elemental Magic Power gathered frantically in its palms. Two highly compressed spheres of magma rapidly took shape.

Fire.

The magma spheres crossed the three-kilometer distance and slammed into the urban area, exploding.

Viscous magma splattered everywhere, leveling large city blocks and igniting massive fires. The virtual flames dyed the sky red.

The holographic projection froze.

[Peak power output approaching the theoretical limit of a Second-level Wizard. Physical destructive power rating: Nation-Ending Class.]

[Extremely reliant on Earth Vein Magic Power. In environments without access to the earth vein, such as in the air or water, combat effectiveness is reduced by 80%. Suitable only for frontal assaults and positional defense.]

Allen looked at the data on the light screen and clicked his tongue.

"The simulation isn’t intense enough. The background looks a bit fake. It can only show a rough idea of its power."

[Computing power is limited. It is recommended that the Commander upgrade the workshop core as soon as possible.]

"You can just wait. I’m broke."

The Cyclops Golem cost 12.5 million Magic Stones to build, and its research and development cost another 26 million Magic Stones.

These two new-generation ultimate weapons had basically wiped out all the money Allen had saved up over the past few years.

"I’d like to find you a real opponent, but I’m afraid that if you break, I won’t be able to afford the repairs."

Allen sighed as he looked at the tall, imposing, dark red colossus before him.

An ordinary Second-Level Magical Beast couldn’t even withstand a single blow from its hammer.

Perhaps only Victor’s broken Level 4 Golem would be a worthy opponent to wrestle with it.

But in any case, his "Guard Series" finally had a high-end combat unit.

A spear and a shield; one for the air and one for the land.

It bolstered his reputation as a Second-level Golem Wizard and gave him the confidence to face other Second-level Wizards from different schools head-on.

"It’s finally up to snuff."

Allen switched off the main magical lights of the assembly workshop and turned to leave.

Leaving only the Cyclops’s massive, single eye, quietly watching its creator’s back as he departed.
