Chapter 337: Chapter 244: Abundant Energy

One Crystal Stone after another was converted into Energy and fed to the panel.

Once he had gathered 100,000 points of Energy, Han Ning walked up to the great gate of the Night Nether Tower and reached out to touch the ancient stone door.

A bright blue light enveloped the entire stone door, and data began scrolling down the panel like a waterfall.

At the same time, a 3D projected model that was nearly identical to the Night Nether Tower materialized on the panel’s interface.

Han Ning waited for about two minutes before parameters for the Night Nether Tower appeared section by section next to the 3D projection.

Current Temperature: 3°C

Humidity: 45%

Wind Force: 0

Spatial Spiritual Particle Concentration—

Wind: 3%

Earth: 2%

Water: 5%

Fire: 1%

...

Total Spiritual Energy Remaining: 2%

[Due to limited panel computing power, the Star Core control device has not been fully analyzed. All permissions for floors below 267 have been unlocked.]

’Just as I expected. The Night Nether Tower is completely empty inside. Most things have been moved out, aside from some power systems... Huh? What’s this?’

As Han Ning observed the internal structure of the Night Nether Tower, he noticed an area somewhere on the 200-and-something floor where some strange objects were highlighted in blue light.

Besides the items here, the other areas were all empty. They contained either control devices that were integrated into the Night Nether Tower itself or some worthless daily necessities.

The Night Nether Tower had over 200 floors and stood about 1,000 meters tall. The areas above the 150th floor were most likely the living and resting quarters of the Duke of Night Nether, while the lower fifty floors were probably offices for other Alataku People.

The device for controlling the three Star Cores was located at the top of the tower. It was specially marked as "access denied" and had clearly not been unlocked.

"Let’s go. It should be safe inside." Han Ning looked away from the panel and called to the Soul Beasts behind him, then led the way in.

With the panel’s analysis, the Spiritual Energy traps set by the Alataku People had been completely deciphered, so there was no need to worry about danger.

Inside the main gate was a spiral staircase that wound upward for several hundred steps.

At the top of the stairs stood another stone door.

Carved upon this door was the same sculpture of a humanoid figure sitting on a throne, looking down from above.

He had seen the sculpture of the Duke of Night Nether before in the library. This one, however, had been converted by the Alataku People into something like an access control system.

But now that he had the panel, the access control system was useless.

Already knowing most of the tower’s layout, Han Ning led everyone to the "Teleportation Gate" inside the Night Nether Tower with practiced ease. He directly summoned the guarding Elemental Spirit and requested to be teleported to the control room that maintained the Spiritual Energy circulation for the entire tower.

A flash of light.

Han Ning appeared in a room where the walls, ceiling, and floor were all covered in intricate patterns. Three black spheres floated in the center.

"This is an energy control room," Hom said, its eyeball swiveling as it identified the room’s purpose at a glance. "The Alataku People’s methods for manipulating negative energy are no weaker than our Witch Spirit Race’s mastery over other Elements. They use Spiritual Power to carve corresponding patterns onto certain mediums to draw in free-floating Spiritual Energy from the void."

"Where do the patterns come from?" Han Ning asked curiously.

"They’re perceived from Soul Beasts, of course. Don’t you humans have similar methods?" Hom replied, as if the answer were obvious.

"Of course we do. I was just asking if there were any differences."

’Do computer chips count?’

Han Ning chuckled to himself, walked forward, and reached out to touch one of the black spheres.

’According to the panel, the device that controls the three Star Cores and the one that maintains the tower’s daily operations are in different locations. The room I’m in now should just be for the latter.’

At that moment, a line of small text appeared before his eyes:

[Energy source detected. Estimated total Spiritual Energy: 300,000. Absorb?]

[Warning: The amount of Energy absorbed cannot drop the source below a 1% threshold, or the device will self-destruct, causing irreversible consequences.]

’In that case, the device that maintains the Cosmic Light Tower is probably more advanced, perhaps on the same level as the one controlling the three Star Cores... ’

Seeing that there was Energy here to absorb, a look of delight appeared on Han Ning’s face.

He had been constantly consuming Energy these past few days, and now he finally had a large influx.

He didn’t hesitate for a moment and silently commanded, ’Absorb.’

The next second~

WHOOSH—

His palm acted like a powerful pump, frantically absorbing the Spiritual Energy from within the tower.

Just two minutes later, about 310,000 Energy had been added to his panel.

’Does this make me a mouse stealing oil?’

Han Ning only released his hand when the panel prompted that he was approaching the threshold.

’Alright, next up, let’s go check the floor where the items are stored.’

...

He stepped through the Teleportation Gate.

A hall of over a thousand square meters appeared before him, filled with all sorts of strange and curious gadgets.

An intricately designed bronze chandelier hung from the ceiling.

An unknown light source emanated a dim, yellow glow from the chandelier, illuminating everything in the chamber.

There were engraved prints depicting nude figures, exquisite metal tableware, what looked to be stone armor worn by the Alataku People, pearls and gemstones, bales of cloth, furs, and pelts, and much more.

A dazzling array of items was scattered throughout the hall, almost too much to take in at once.

’Looks like it’s all Alatak-style art pieces, or maybe daily necessities?’

Han Ning scanned the room, and his gaze finally settled on the far wall.

There, too, stood a massive humanoid sculpture.

It depicted a humanoid being clad in armor, its long hair flowing in the wind. A ring of spikes circled its head, three pairs of membranous wings grew from its back, and it had six arms, each hand clutching a unique weapon.
