Chapter 322: Chapter 236: Pangu Creates the World, a Spiritual Breakthrough
Seeing this, Han Ning took his Soul Beasts and stepped inside.
In a flash of light, he could faintly see Yin Yi, Egg Pancake, Fei Lin, and even the All-Encompassing Spiritual Silkworm being scattered to different levels of the tower.
The All-Encompassing Spiritual Silkworm was on the lowest level, the 1st floor.
Next was Fei Lin, on the 3rd floor.
Then Egg Pancake, on the 6th floor.
Yin Yi was the highest of all, on the 8th floor.
"Just follow the spiritual prompts in the hall and cultivate hard!" Han Ning encouraged his little companions through their Spiritual Linkage.
"Ling!" "CHIRP~" "Mew?" "SQUEAK!"
A medley of emotions flooded his mind.
"Don’t panic. I’m right above you. If anything feels wrong, notify me immediately through your Spiritual Power."
Acting like a worried father, Han Ning added another word of caution. When he saw that the two little ones, Yin Yi and Egg Pancake, were already staring at the strange patterns on the wall, he relaxed a bit and signaled for the Shadow of the Spiritual to take him to his destination.
SWOOSH~
The Gray Mist swirled around him.
A carving of the number "19" in the Alatake Language came into view.
The layout ahead was the same as the other levels of the tower: a spacious, empty hall with a diamond-shaped, transparent Crystal Stone floating in its very center.
Compared to the Crystal Stone inside the Elemental Gate, this one seemed more compact, only about the size of a grown adult.
Surrounding the transparent Crystal Stone floated magical diagrams made entirely of Energy. They emitted a dark glow, resembling a vast Star Map.
Peculiar ripples of Spiritual Fluctuation emanated from the surfaces of the diagrams.
The hall was completely empty; he was the only living being within it.
"When a Beast Master meditates, their Contracted Soul Beasts can cultivate in sync through the Spiritual Linkage between them. The Cultivation speed here is roughly five times that of the outside world. The higher the level and the lower the entrant’s own Spiritual Power, the more effective the Cultivation. However... one must meet the minimum required level."
"There are nine Spiritual Templates here, personally etched with Spiritual Power by the Duke of Night Nether. Following the templates to circulate your Spiritual Power will automatically compress and amplify it."
"Please follow the spiritual guidance and enter a state of Cultivation." The Shadow of the Spiritual, still in the form of a doorway, remained silently in a corner of the hall.
Han Ning nodded, closed his eyes, and wrapped his Spiritual Power around the first diagram.
A stream of spiritual information flowed into his mind: "Dark Star Nine Refinements!"
Before he knew it, he found himself standing in a sea of darkness.
It was so dark he couldn’t see his hand in front of his face. There wasn’t a single source of light.
Here, time and space seemed to have lost all meaning.
An unknown amount of time passed before a faint glimmer of white light appeared in the void.
The point of white light grew larger and larger. Gradually, Han Ning’s vision filled with a hazy white glow. Suddenly, the brightness surged, momentarily blinding him.
When his vision cleared, the sky was pitch-black. In the distance, an indigo celestial body radiated an ominous glow, like death itself.
He felt solid ground beneath his feet—a stretch of soft earth.
A light breeze drifted by, carrying the thick stench of decay.
He looked down and saw that the ground was a dense carpet, composed almost entirely of corpses.
Then, the ground began to rumble.
The ground before him abruptly split open and caved in, as a torrential rain of blood began to fall from the sky.
The collapsed ground filled with blood. Pale flowers, scarlet grass, and trees with human faces burst from the soil, forming an ocean of blood, a valley piled high with bones, a prairie overgrown with fur of every color, and a forest made of corpses...
SKREEE~
A bloodcurdling scream echoed from the nearby corpse forest, while in the lake of blood before him, fat, eye-covered spheres of flesh occasionally leaped from the surface.
The indigo star set, and a dark purple crescent moon took its place in the night sky.
All sorts of visions representing death, gluttony, greed, and more flashed before his eyes.
’...Is this the environment where the Alataku People live? Or is this something the Spiritual Meditation Technique is doing on purpose?’ Han Ning wondered, watching the death elements slowly manifest around him. His eyes gradually lost focus, and a fine sheen of sweat broke out on his forehead.
HUUU...
A cold Spiritual Power gradually seeped into his mind from the outside, merging with his own and slowly building his reserves.
At that moment, he felt that although more than half of his Spiritual Power had been consumed, an endless stream of Spiritual Energy was pouring into his Spiritual World, replenishing it.
His depleted Spiritual Power was recovering rapidly.
Furthermore, its intensity had reached the very limit of Tier Two.
’...Just a little bit more.’ A look of wanting more lingered on Han Ning’s face. After calming his thoughts slightly, the Big Dipper constructed by the Four Symbols Meditation Technique in his Spiritual World suddenly burst into brilliant light.
A jolt went through Han Ning’s spirit.
Darkness still stretched out before him.
Unlike before, however, this was not complete darkness. Ahead of him was a perfectly round, flawless, and indescribable mass that filled the entire space, emitting a dim gray light.
Suddenly, two brilliant pillars of light erupted from within the sphere. The light scattered the Gray Mist, revealing an impossibly large giant.
He stretched his powerful arms and reached back.
A great axe, wreathed in steaming Gray Mist, appeared in His hand.
The giant gripped the axe and swung it down violently in Han Ning’s direction!
BOOM—
With a deafening crack of thunder, an endless, dazzling white light flared.
The space before him was shattered to pieces by the great axe.
Some of the light Gray Mist drifted upward, gradually forming a hazy sky.
Other granular, turbid matter sank down, gathering more and more to become a thick, solid earth.
The giant stood between heaven and earth, his head holding up the sky and his feet planted on the ground. Moreover, His form was still growing at a rate visible to the naked eye.
It continued until He became too large for Han Ning’s vision to contain.
By now, the distance between heaven and earth had become infinitely vast.
In the very center of heaven and earth stood a vast, boundless "mountain" that held up the sky.
As heaven and earth took their initial form, the giant seemed to grow weary. His body began to tremble slightly, and then the tremors grew more and more severe.
Finally, with a world-shaking crash, the giant rumbled and fell.
He lay facing the sky, and the breath from His mouth became white clouds and gales that blew into the heavens.
His left eye radiated endless light and heat; His right eye was cool and gentle.
Each of His eyes slowly rose to hang high in the sky.
His limbs and torso stretched out, merging with the land to become its four cardinal pillars and five great mountains.
The blood in His veins flowed out to become rivers and streams. His endless strands of hair fell away, were caught by the wind, and rose into the sky to become shining Stars.
His teeth, bones, and marrow all became gleaming Metal, hard stone, and lustrous gems.
The sun set, and the moon took its place in the night.
The vast sky was dotted with stars. The constellations of the Azure Dragon, the Vermilion Bird, the White Tiger, and the Black Tortoise flashed in succession, as if representing the changing of the seasons.
...
’This is a myth belonging to the people of Xia Country—Pangu the Great God creating heaven and earth!’
Han Ning’s heart pounded with excitement. ’This Four Symbols Meditation Technique truly is extraordinary!’
Of all these images of creation, what captivated him most was the vast expanse of Stars born from the giant’s eyes.
They followed a specific pattern, manifesting from nothingness and revealing themselves to him bit by bit.
The Cultivation method for the Four Symbols Meditation Technique surfaced in Han Ning’s mind. Comparing it to the shining Stars in the sky, he became completely immersed in this nascent, primordial world, losing all track of time...
Starlight suddenly burst forth within his Spiritual World!
A dense shower of starlight rained down, accompanied by a surging tide of Spiritual Power that poured into his mind.
Han Ning’s eyes flew open, a sharp light glinting within his pupils.
Tier Three Spiritual Power—achieved!
At Tier Three, Spiritual Power could already begin to faintly interfere with reality.
He circulated the Spiritual Power in his mind. The invisible power formed a miniature storm, coalescing into a small whirlwind in his palm that caused his hair to flutter slightly.
Although it seemed to have little practical use, it was proof that his Spiritual Power had reached a new height.
