Chapter 69: Chapter 69: You Really Threw Up
Since Liu Zheng had promised Qin Wanru that he would take a trip to the city and time was running short, he had to leave now.
Hence, he had no mood to joke with Liu Suqiu and turned around to head out of the courtyard.
He needed to go home to get his electric tricycle.
Without this electric tricycle, going to the city would be too troublesome.
Seeing that he was about to leave, Liu Suqiu, who was left aside, became a bit anxious.
"Liu Zheng, what are you doing? If you’re going to the city, take me with you!" she called out.
As she caught up to him, Liu Zheng quickly waved his hand and shouted, "Just wait for me by the roadside."
While he spoke, he had already dashed out of the yard.
It did not take long before the two met up at the entrance of the village.
Once she was on the electric tricycle, Liu Suqiu wrapped her arms around Liu Zheng’s waist.
With her head tilted, she looked at Liu Zheng’s profile and couldn’t help asking, "You seem in such a hurry, what’s the matter? What does that female boss want with you?"
"Not sure. She wouldn’t say over the phone, insisted on speaking face to face," he replied.
He did not conceal anything from Liu Suqiu.
Hearing this, Liu Suqiu’s eyes roved, unable to figure out the reason, she eventually stopped asking.
After several days of interaction, Liu Suqiu had long lost the wariness she initially had towards Liu Zheng.
Normally on the electric tricycle, Liu Suqiu would have just held onto the railing or the edge of the seat.
But now, she was hugging Liu Zheng’s waist directly.
They looked just like a couple.
For Liu Zheng’s part, he was extremely happy right now.
Especially after starting the electric tricycle, as it moved forward and the entire vehicle lunged with the bumps, Liu Suqiu’s body involuntarily collided against his.
Enjoying this softness, Liu Zheng was overjoyed beyond words.
But while he reveled in the moment, Liu Zheng squinted his eyes and asked, "Say, Su Qiu, when I slept in your room today, did I vomit? How come when I went home, I found my pants all spotted?"
Upon hearing Liu Zheng ask this, Liu Suqiu’s face turned red as if ablaze.
Her gaze became evasive, thankfully she was behind him; otherwise, he would have seen her extremely shy demeanor.
Even so, Liu Suqiu felt her body weakening.
Thinking back to that scene, her entire being seemed to soften.
Her heart was racing, and she was so embarrassed she almost wished she could find a hole to crawl into.
Yet, she couldn’t not respond, so she cleared her throat and said, "Wasn’t it? You vomited everywhere at the time, and I was holding you up! Otherwise, you would have made a complete mess."
Blinking to stabilize her emotions, Liu Suqiu lifted her head to glance at Liu Zheng, who focused on driving without looking back, and said, "That’s why I just changed my clothes. I was really caught in the crossfire because of you."
As she spoke, Liu Suqiu sighed, as if she was feeling very wronged.
Although he couldn’t see her, Liu Zheng could sense that she must be looking very cute.
In his heart, he couldn’t help but think so.
"This guy, actually, I did throw up at that time too, and what you said isn’t wrong," Liu Zheng chuckled, "but when I threw up, it wasn’t with my mouth, it was with...hehe!"
Thinking of this, Liu Zheng felt even more amused.
"Hehe! At that time she did support me there, and it was, hehe, quite the key area that she touched...hehehe..."
As these thoughts ran through his mind, the smile on Liu Zheng’s face grew even brighter.
In his mind, he couldn’t help but recall the moment when Liu Suqiu was supporting him, and he had vomited all over her, even in her hair.
That scene, to be honest, was like nothing Liu Zheng had ever seen in his life, truly enchanting.
However, he didn’t plan to let Liu Suqiu off the hook just yet. He grinned with a show of teeth and then sighed, saying, "This also shows how thoroughly you cleaned up, getting rid of everything, not a single trace left. I didn’t notice even a bit."
Liu Suqiu naturally did not know there was a double meaning in what Liu Zheng said.
She was also unaware that Liu Zheng had been sober at that time, so she tried her best to act as if nothing had happened and spoke earnestly.
"Isn’t that the truth, I cleaned up and it was quite troublesome, and it also wasted quite a bit of paper too."
Turning her head and looking back with a rather earnest expression, Liu Suqiu gave Liu Zheng a hard time keeping his laughter in check.
But he held it back, not allowing himself to laugh out loud.
He cleared his throat, nodded, and said, "Um, thank you very much. Otherwise, with the way I was drunk, I wouldn’t have been able to make it home at all."
Having reached this point, Liu Zheng naturally didn’t feel it was right to tease Liu Suqiu any further.
As they chatted, they soon entered the town, and before long they arrived at the entrance of Renxin Hall.
Just as they reached the entrance, before the two had even stepped off the electric tricycle, Qin Wanru came walking out from Renxin Hall.
Seeing that Liu Zheng had arrived brought great joy to Qin Wanru, who hurriedly came over with a smile blooming brilliantly on her face, saying, "Mr. Liu, you’ve come!"
As she approached, her expression was very enthusiastic.
Sitting behind Liu Zheng, Liu Suqiu saw Qin Wanru at this moment—tall and slim, with fair skin, especially exuding a noble and elegant charm from head to toe, the very image of a city beauty.
Seeing such a woman now standing beside Liu Zheng, Liu Suqiu couldn’t help but feel a bit inferior.
Liu Zheng, however, wasn’t thinking about all that and looked at Qin Wanru as she came to greet him, saying, "Miss Qin, whatever it is you have to say, let’s just be straight about it."
As he spoke, he got off the electric tricycle.
"Okay, Mr. Liu, please come inside."
When Qin Wanru spoke, she stepped aside, making way and inviting Liu Zheng into her Renxin Hall.
After getting off the vehicle, Liu Zheng suddenly remembered Liu Suqiu was with him and turned his head to tell her, "Su Qiu, you go for a stroll around here first; I’ll come find you once I am finished."
Qin Wanru had not been paying attention to Liu Zheng’s side at first, preoccupied as she was with pressing matters on her mind.
Only after Liu Zheng mentioned it did she notice Liu Suqiu.
"Old Cheng, take this young lady to our resting room to rest for a bit," she said.
With Qin Wanru’s instruction, Liu Suqiu should not have any issues.
After nodding to Liu Suqiu, Liu Zheng followed Qin Wanru toward the back courtyard of Renxin Hall.
As they walked away, Liu Suqiu chuckled softly, drawing near to Liu Zheng, and said, "It’s true what they say, ’Children from poor families take charge early.’ The young lady with you is quite pretty despite her youth, but she must have done lots of farm work—otherwise, she wouldn’t have been so tanned, right?"
